Name: Valentine Bloodfang

Age: 18 born on the 14th of Amare, 62AC.

Species and Gender: Sanguivorous Bat Faunus, Female

Symbol: A white bat symbol with a crimson coloured orb above it's head on a black background.

Occupation: First Year student at Beacon Academy.

Appearance: Valentine has a silver and curly hair which comes down to about shoulder height with dark purple ribbons as adornment on each side. Her eyes are crimson red in colour, and they have distinct diamond shaped pupils. Valentine is 5'3 tall, weights 108lbs and has really pale skin. She would look almost corpse-white if not for the slight red on her cheeks. As a sanguivorous bat faunus, she possesses two fangs that are clearly visible when she talks. Her breasts are rather underdeveloped for her age.  She can be seen in a wheelchair when she is at home or if her Aura depletes. When she does stand however, her stance is lady-like and confident, and she also gives off a mysterious, unnerving and eerie vibe. She wouldn't be surprised if she made someone suffer a heart attack if they saw her in a dark alley at night.

Her usual clothing consists of a dark purple dress, that stops just above her knees. The neck part of the dress has ruffles on it and so does the bottom of the dress. A light-purple line runs down the middle of the dress which is also decorated with ruffles on the side. The sleeves of the dress have dark purple ruffles on it as well, these match with her dark purple nail polish. Lastly, she wears dark purple shoes. She also has a coat for winter, when the weather is rather chilly.

Her uniform is as you would expect. There aren't any changes, really.

History: Valentine was born into a wealthy family as an only child. Her parents were strict and expected a lot from Valentine as they were one of the wealthier faunus families in the area. They were strict but at the same time they were really caring and they didn't throw a cold shoulder at her, they just expected great things from Valentine and she tried her hardest to live up to that.

Her parents were the owners of the biggest insurance company in Vale, so financially the family was set for a lifetime. Even though her parents wanted her to take inherit the business when they retire, her parents were convinced by her to let her train and become a huntress. At the age of ten she was already studying really hard to get into Signal Academy, even though you can only apply at the age of thirteen.
One unfortunate day, when her family was about to depart from home, unknown criminals barged into their mansion and killed both her parents in front of Valentine, and all she could do was watch in dread from the top of the staircase leading up to the second floor of the mansion. The criminals were going to finish her off, however the urging sound of the police grew louder and louder, so they ran from the scene before they could end her.
She called out to her parents in desperation as she ran towards their limp bodies, but they didn't reply. The white carpet of the Main Hall was stained with the ever-growing pool of vivid crimson blood that seeped from the bodies. She helplessly collapsed on her Mother's body, repeatedly calling her name, to no avail. She felt something sticky on her hands, and as her gaze averted from her Mother to her palms, she immediately understood what it was. Her hands were bloody, her clothes were bloody, her parents were bloody. At that point she also noticed the wounds all over her parents, that is when her mind shut down and went blank.

The next thing she knew is that she was in a hospital bed, with a doctor standing by her side. When Valentine regained enough strength to speak, she asked the doctor what happened. The doctor explained that what they were told was that when the police arrived at the scene, they found her unconsciously lying on the ground, and she suffered from a severe trauma to her neck. She almost died, but fortunately the Hospital she was carried to was able to perform a bone reconstruction surgery on her neck. Her spinal cord was damaged, and thus she can't move or feel her body neck-down but at least her neck is as good as ever.

That is not all of the story, which Valentine remembered soon after she recovered. When the police arrived at the mansion, they saw a girl, covered in blood, sitting on the now almost completely red carpet soaked in blood, talking to her parents. Her Mom and Dad were on their feet and looking at her, and as she noticed the police's presence from the sounds of boots on the floor, she and her parents turned towards them. The police officers were shocked by the sight of two fatally injured people casually standing there, and a girl who was sinisterly grinning at them. Soon they also realised that the two adults were not alive. They asked the girl what happened with her parents, but she replied: "There is nothing wrong with my parents Mister. Mom and Dad are perfectly fine! Look how lively they are!" as she giggled, then that turned into laughter which sent shivers down the police officers' spine. They had to stop this, so despite being shaking in fear, they tried restraining the parents. Valentine grabbed one of the police officers and screamed to let her Mom go, but the police officer unintentionally shoved her back while they were trying to restrain their targets. The impact knocked Valentine back and she fell right onto the first step of the stairs. She was unlucky enough to severely hurt her neck during the fall, and instantly lost consciousness.

When Valentine was told what happened to her spine, she tried to move but to her fear, she couldn't. The doctor explained that the spinal cord was severely damaged, so much so that there is little to no chance of recovery. The news shocked her so much that she blanked out for a few seconds before she finally reacted as she started crying.

The hospital kept her for 3 months before releasing her, and she was brought back to her mansion. They assigned a temporary guardian to watch over her - since her parents were deceased - until she turns 18. Her guardian is actually the personal secretary of her late parents' insurance company. She was in no condition to even dream of getting into Signal but she still kept on trying every day to get up, to move her hands and feet again. She spent her days concentrating extremely hard to move even one of her fingers, sleeping in her room or looking out of the enormous window next to her, watching as the clouds ran through the sky and disappeared in the horizon. She tried day after day to move her body once again, to no success.
After some time however, when she was doing her daily routine of trying to focus and train her mind to be able to move, she finally managed to move her fingers. It was just for a mere moment, and it was definitely not because of some miracle. She was finally getting a grasp on how to use her Semblance. As she had a lot of free time due to having to stay in bed the whole day, (except for when the maids helped her with number one and number two) she had plenty of time to get better at using the Semblance.

One and a half year passed. She was going to be twelve that year, just one year away from the start of the Signal enrolment exams. She trained day and night to be able to walk again, and to have the basic movements re-learned in her muscle memory for the past year. Well, technically it was more like re-training her brain to use her Semblance to move a part of her body when she think of doing so. The process was long, and she no doubt hurt herself quite a bit while doing so. Even though she can't feel pain anymore in her body below her neck, hitting your head in the floor when you land undoubtedly still hurts like hell. She recovered from her accident enough that she was able to attend the Signal Exams and barely pass thanks to the fact that academically she was so far ahead of everyone, so at least getting anchored to the bed actually paid off. This also allowed her to focus more on combat and to be able to have a chance at winning a fight.
She was also part of the student council during her time at Signal.

Now, after finishing Signal Academy with above average grades both in academical studies and combat, she was accepted into Beacon Academy for further training so that she can become a huntress. Of course, Beacon did obtain her medical records, so they knew she was disabled. Only the teachers that teach Valentine know about her condition. She will be attending Beacon in hopes of following the same career path as her parents and graduate as a fully fledged Huntress in hopes of being able to protect the innocent, so that the same tragedy does not happen to others as it did to her, and she will do anything to achieve this goal.

Personality: Valentine is a friendly person when you get to know her, however you wouldn't know at first glance. There is an eerie and misterious aura radiating from her. Even though she might be smiling, good observers might notice a slightly dark and malicious intent in her eyes. One might say her signature feature would be her stare, a hint of malice paired with a stare as sharp as a dagger even when she is smiling can send shivers down your spine. She can get along well with others, but acts cold and dismissive towards people who she doesn't like. She is quite intelligent and can read most people like a book by how they act and speak. She is refined and has good manners, as expected from someone who comes from a rich family. Valentine is also calm and collected most of the time and thinks before speaking. She is playful and likes to tease people, and also likes dark and morbid jokes.

She is disabled from her neck downwards, but thanks to her Semblance she can move around as if she wasn't.
Even though she can move her body with her Semblance, she still lost her ability to control her body like a normal person would be able to. This, on top of watching her parents get killed made her suffer from depression. She takes antidepressants twice a day to keep the negative thoughts at bay, and she can get quite moody after some time of not taking her medication.

She doesn't want to tell people that she is disabled and she tries to do everything to hide it. This is mainly because she doesnt want to seem like a burden or dead weight, since se can hold her ground just as well as others.
As she is disabled, she can't feel anything below her neck. This means that she doesn't notice if something is hot or if she gets injured. If she is unsure about something, she either won't do it or ask someone beforehand, as a safety measure. To make sure she is perfectly fine she has to check herself regularly and also checks her whole body every night before sleep so that she won't run the risk of an infection or anything serious like that. It is like a routine to her by now.
She has a wheelchair which she only uses when she is at home, if her Aura depletes or if she just woke up.

Her academic grades are good, she rarely gets a bad grade in class and she usually performs a little above average in terms of academic studies.

Valentine doesn't like sunlight, thanks to her bat faunus origins and she can get sunburned a lot sooner than other people, thanks to her pale skin. She prefers cold places that are not under direct sunlight. She also carries an umbrella because of this even in broad daylight, so that the sunlight doesn't damage her skin.
Valentine spends her free time drawing, drinking tea, going on a walk at a park or simply sleeping if the weather is too sunny. She also enjoys just walking through the city at night as its a lot darker than during the day.
Valentine is also able to determine how healthy a person is based on their blood. She can sense the general health of a person when she tastes their blood, but she can confidently identify if someone has high blood glucose levels or if their kidney is not functioning properly.


Beacon Academy prohibited the use of her Semblance to reanimate the dead in public unless specifically stated beforehand. She is aware that people might freak out when they see the Marionettes, and that it can cause a bad reputation to Beacon Academy. She looks at the Marionettes as tools however, not people. Her reasoning is that they no longer need their bodies anymore, so might as well be useful to her in one way or another. She doesn't mind what people think when they see the blood orb or the Marionettes and how that would affect her reputation. She might even throw a morbid remark or two at people about it if they mention the topic.

Aura and Semblance: Aura Color: Crimson
Aura: Valentine possesses an above average Aura pool. This is thanks to the fact that she trained hard to achieve relatively better Aura protection because she can't feel most of her body. Her regenerative capabilities through Aura are very limited.

Semblance: Sanguinarian Control - Valentine can control and manipulate blood cells and plasma. She is able to control blood that is either her own or blood which is not protected by an Aura. If she gets near blood that is not protected by Aura, for example if someone just bled out and left a pool behind, she can control it. Valentine collects blood from any source that she can find, and stores the blood in a floating orb which stays near her at all times.
(If her Aura depletes she can't perform actions with her Semblance.)

  • Blood Clotting - If Valentine concentrates for at least 20 seconds she is able to make her own blood start clotting on a wounded area. She can only do this on wounds that are minor wounds. Examples of this would be if she cuts her finger or gets cut with a weapon. She can't heal wounds that are more than one centimeter deep and the sped up regeneration causes her to tire out really fast, depending on the wound. Generally speaking, a scratch can be healed without issues, getting cut by a weapon causes minor fatigue and a one centimeter deep cut of the same size wound would significantly tire her out.
  • Blood Absorption - Due to her blood type being AB+, Valentine can mix her own blood with blood that is not hers without her immune system rejecting it, allowing her to replenish the amount of blood in her in case she is bleeding out and losing blood. Excess blood that she absorbs also causes her to restore a certain amount of Aura in the process. If the blood orb is at its maximum limit, Valentine can restore 10% of her maximum Aura, however, performing this action tires her out slightly. If used this way, blood absorbtion can't be used for another one hour to restore Aura due to exhaustion.
  • Blood Marionette - Valentine can make her limbs move as long as they have blood in them. This also lets her move while her body is paralysed. She can only control herself or bodies that are not able to generate an Aura. She is unable to control people who don't have an aura as they are able to counter act the effects with their muscles and nerves, so this only works on corpses. She loses this ability once her Aura depletes.

    Whenever she gathered enough blood in her blood orb, she can use it to reanimate a corpse for an extended period of time to fight for her. She can maintain control over the Marionette as long as she is conscious, however doing so tires her out. Controlling herself doesn't strain her at all. If she is controlling herself and one Marionette she will lose a significant portion of her own reaction time and concentration to do so and controlling two Marionettes means that her control of her own body will be very limited. She can control two corpses for a maximum of 50 seconds, and one for about 100 seconds.

    Controlling her own body with Blood Marionette doesn't have any drawbacks. This is because she trained for a long time to be able to use her Semblance consistently, so being able to move her body like this comes naturally to her.

Spoiler: Facts • show
The blood travels at a maximum speed of 50km/h. She can only conjure one blood orb at a time and this orb follows her wherever she goes. The orb canít go further away from her than a meter at maximum and it grows in size depending on how much blood Valentine is currently controlling. She can only control roughly 11 liters of blood that is stored in the orb. (The amount of blood in a person is equal to a maximum amount of 5.5 litres.)

She needs to focus to control the Marionettes, because of this she needs to move slower while she maintains control over the two. Marionettes can't dodge, parry or block attacks, they are only capable of simple movements, see: Zombies. They don't really have much power either, maybe as strong as a bare-fisted guy who doesn't know how to box.
The difference between moving her own body and controlling the Marionettes is that those are bodies which are not her own. Hypothetically speaking: If your consciousness was moved to another being's body which had extra body features like tails or wings you wouldn't be able to use them, or use them effectively. Controlling the Marionettes is somewhat similar. It's an foreign body that she has to control, so that is why she needs to concentrate on the Marionettes whereas controlling her own body comes naturally.

The maximum range she can control the Marionette is 20 meters maximum, point of origin is Valentine herself. Using blood to reanimate a corpse uses up the blood in the process, meaning she can't reanimate one corpse, let it 'die' so she can block an attack then quickly transfer the blood to another corpse.
She can only use fresh blood to reanimate corpses, so if she tried using blood that has been used to reanimate a corpse, there would be no oxygenated blood cells left to power the muscles to move.


The Semblanceís main weakness is that if the enemy can get rid of the blood orb it renders Valentineís Semblance useless, and potentially can neutralise Valentine too. This can be achieved by focusing the blood orb whenever there is an opportunity. Easiest way of dealing with Valentine's Semblance is damaging the blood orb instead of her (Assuming they have a weapon that can damage blood cells) as the orb can't dodge attacks, it floats next to Valentine at all times and only moves if Valentine does too or when she commands the orb to move. Still the easiest target would be the orb as it's way slower than Valentine.

Combat Behavior: Valentine is adept at short to mid-ranged combat.
Paralysing her is impossible as it only affects the central nervous system but because she can control her own blood it also means that she can just make her limbs move while paralysed.

If an enemy comes close to her she will use her dual whips to engage in combat.
She is capable of fighting in close combat with her whips but she prefers to use her Semblance when her Aura is still relatively healthy. Thanks to this she only uses her whips when the enemy gets close to her or if she is getting nowhere with using her Semblance. Another thing to note is that corpses are hard to come by obviously, because you need dead people for that. If there are no corpses nearby, she will just fight normally without the use of her Semblance. She will use the corpses as distraction and meat shields in a fight.

If there are no corpses to use her Semblance on, or if her Aura is low she would keep her distance so she can attack the target from mid-range using Pain, but if they get close she would use Ruin to fend them off. She could use the whips to disarm the enemy by coiling the whips around the weapon or wrist of the enemy and suddenly pulling, this would most likely result in sending the weapon flying or at least throwing the enemy off balance.

Pros:
-Provides good support in short to mid-range combat.
-Is able to create up to two additional "Body Guards" to join the fray.
-Great offensive capabilities.
-Immunity to paralysing poisons and pain.
-Can disarm enemies relatively easily by using her whip if they don't anticipate it.

Cons:
-Struggles in close quarters as she can only rely on her chainsaw whip.
-Low mobility when using her Semblance, this makes her an easy target.
-Her weapons can be rendered useless for a significant duration if they get wrapped around an object.
-If her Aura goes down she can't move.

WEAPONS

Name: Pain & Ruin

Primary Form: A dark purple umbrella with crimson marks on it. The umbrella makes use of an ultra-light polymer layer that protects Valentine from the rain and sunlight.

Secondary Form: The umbrella can be split in half after closing it, the beams stack together and along with the handle they become flexible. Small blades extend from the weapons. The two parts each form a whip, one is a shorter one with a chainsaw mechanism and the other one is a longer one with a lot of blades.
The longer one is called Pain. It is a 5m long whip, not so good for close combat but a lot better for mid-range combat. Blades come out in every direction on the whip.
The shorter one is called Ruin. It is a 2m long weapon which makes it ideal for close ranged combat. It also has a chainsaw mechanism where the blades move up and down in a circular motion on the weapon.

Dust Functions: Pain can be infused with electric dust to have electrical attacks when hitting a target and Ruin can be infused with fire dust to make the moving blades lightly catch on fire.

History: She made this during her time at Signal Academy along with her canisters to protect her from the heat of the sun as well as to inflict pain and wounds on enemies. These whips were designed to tear up flesh so that she can have a ready supply of blood from her enemies.

GADGET

Name: Blood Canisters

Primary Form: A silver coloured canister with a glass line running down the middle that holds blood in it. She carries 3 canisters on her almost all the time. These relataively small capsules act as readily available blood for Valentine to use for various things with her Semblance.

History: She made this during her time at Signal Academy along with her weapon so she can have blood ready for her Semblance.

I have returned from the grave, everyone! Most of you will probably not recognise me, I was last active 8 months ago and I also changed my name and profile, however some of you might know me as Malus Blanc.

First of all, I am terribly sorry for leaving without saying anything. Because of unforeseen family circumstances I was left devastated, on top of the stress that I have built up inside me as the deadline for applying to Universities approached. I couldn't bring myself to do anything for the past 8 months and I finally I feel like roleplaying.
Again, I would like to apologise to the people who had to stop existing threads because of me, and I didn't even say a word the whole time.

Now since all that is out of the way, I want to say hello to everyone, again! I hope we can get along in the future! :)

She is paralysed below her neck but thanks to her semblance she can move around as if she wasn't. She can be seen in a wheelchair when she is at home or if her Aura depletes. Her stance is refined, elegant and lady-like but also radiate a great amount of pride. She gives off a mysterious, unnerving and eerie vibe and she wouldn't be surprised if she made someone get a heart attack if they saw her in a dark alley at night.

These match with her dark purple nail polish. Lastly, she wears dark purple heeled shoes.

Her father was a huntsman and her mother was a huntress so naturally, she wanted to become a huntress as well. At the age of 10 she was already studying really hard to get into Signal Academy when she hit 13. One day she was going down the 20 step staircase in in their mansion's main hall when she suddenly slipped and fell down the stairs. She fell unconscious after the fall and only woke up the next day. When she woke up she realised that she was in a hospital, she could also see her parents who were sitting next to the bed she was laying down in. When Valentine remembered what happened she tried to move but, to her surprise - and fear - she couldn't. Her parents explained that when she fell she broke her neck and her spinal cord was badly damaged, so much so that there is little to no chance of recovery. The news shocked her so much that she blanked out for a few seconds before she finally reacted as she started crying.

The hospital kept her for 3 months but her parents insisted that they can take care of her themselves and brought her back to their mansion. She was in no condition to even dream of getting into Signal but she still kept on trying every day to get up, to move her hands and feet again. She spent her day sleeping in her room or looking out of the huge window next to her, watching as the clouds ran through the sky and disappeared into the sunset. She tried day after day to move her hands, to no success.

One and a half year passed. She was going to be 12 that year, just 1 year away from the Signal enrolment exams start. She was paralysed neck down, this meant that she couldn't do anything to live up to her parents' expectation and she felt like she was a failure. She was still trying everyday to move even just a muscle, but no matter how hard she tried, her body just didnít move. One day however, when she tried to move her hands she saw her hand twitching. She thought she is hallucinating but after concentrating hard she was able to lift her arm up. Pushing her limits, she was able to stand up from her bed after almost two years. Tears of joy left her eyes as she smiled and slowly made her way over to her parents. When they saw her, standing on her feet again they couldn't believe their eyes at first but there she was, moving like the accident didn't happen. They thought it was a miracle.

After this, Valentine found out that she still couldn't feel anything and after trying out different things she realised that she is still paralysed. She found out that she was able to move thanks to her newly manifested semblance because she cut herself once by accident and she could control her blood. She trained for one whole year day and night to get her body back in shape and to simultaneously train her control over her semblance. She got accepted into Signal Academy thanks to the fact that she was significantly ahead of everyone before the accident academically. She was also part of the student council during her time at Signal.

Now, after finishing Signal Academy with good grades both in academical studies and combat, she was accepted into Beacon Academy for further training so that she can become a huntress. She will be attending Beacon in hopes of following the same career path as her parents and graduate as a fully fledged Huntress.

Personality: Valentine is a friendly person with a great amount of pride. Valentine is the type of person who you can get along with pretty easily when you befriend her but you really don't want to be on her bad side. Valentine  is also calm and collected most of the time and thinks before speaking. Her grades are always good, she never got a bad grade in class before. Valentine has a tendency to look up to and idolise people who have a lot of power in society and look down on people who, say, come from the slums or a farm. Valentine prefers to have control over what she is doing. If she gets an order from someone who is above her or who she respects then she will do it, on the other hand she doesn't take orders from someone she has no respect towards to or who are clearly not in a position to order her around.
She also falls just a little on the sadist end of the spectrum.

She is a sanguivorous bat faunus so she drinks blood instead of eating food or drinking water. Valentine doesn't like heat, thanks to her bat faunus origins. She prefers cold places that are not under direct sunlight. She also carries an umbrella because of this even in broad daylight, so that the sunlight doesn't warm her up directly.
Valentine spends her free time drawing, drinking tea, going on a walk at a park or simply sleeping if the weather is too sunny. Valentine is usually tired during the day as she is a bat faunus, and bats are nocturnal. She also enjoys just walking through the city at night as its a lot colder and darker than during the day.

It is a touchy topic to talk about physically disabled people around her as she takes it really seriously even when it isn't about her. This is because she is disabled too from her neck downwards but thanks to her semblance she can move around as if she wasn't. She doesn't want to tell people that she is disabled and she tries to do everything to hide it. This is mainly because of her pride, she doesn't want to be seen as "weak" or "helpless" in front of people.
As she is disabled, she can't feel anything below her neck. This is a really bad thing as she doesn't notice if something is hot or if she gets injured. She has a wheelchair which she only uses when she is at home, if her aura depletes or if she just woke up.

Aura and Semblance: Aura Color: Crimson
Aura: Valentine possesses an above average Aura pool. This is thanks to the fact that her semblance is really Aura reliant so she is experienced at using her Aura. Her regenerative capabilities through Aura are very limited. She can only heal small cuts with her Aura.

Semblance: Sanguinarian Control - Valentine can control and manipulate blood cells and plasma. She can only control her own blood or an entityís blood that doesn't have an aura or any blood that is not surrounded by aura but she can only control blood by surrounding it with her own. Valentine collects blood from any source that she is able to in a swirling, floating orb that stays near her at all times.The orb is connected to her main Aura pool and when the orb takes a hit, Valentineís Aura suffers damage. There are many uses to the blood controlled by Valentine and each attack made by Valentine sacrifices some of her Aura in the process (If her Aura depletes she cannot use abilities that donít require % Aura to use):

  • Blood Attacks - Valentine sends some, or all of the blood towards an enemy and slashes them with it in an arc. The blood goes back to the main orb after the attack with the same speed. These attacks arenít strong by themselves, one attack can cut through skin and hurt the flesh barely but these attacks are better in numbers. Before the blood makes contact with something Valentine wants to hurt, the blood crystallises on the edge of the arc, where it will make contact with the surface and after a split second it goes back to liquid form. One slash = 1% Aura used.
  • Blood Crystallisation - Valentine crystallises some or all of the blood in the orb, effectively functioning as a solid object. Examples of how she would use it: She could make a protective barrier out of blood then crystallise it to absorb the attack of something. She could also transform the blood to assume a shard shape and send it flying towards an enemy and then crystallise it while it is travelling. This deals more damage than Blood Attacks as these projectiles are solid and sharp on the edges. After crystallisation, she cannot change the shape of the object unless it becomes liquid again. The blood crystals only revert back to liquid form after 1 minute. Crystallising blood to use as a projectile or a protective barrier takes 3% of her Aura.
  • Blood Orb: Detonate - Valentine commands the orb to crystallise and explode after a brief period in a direction chosen by Valentine. It takes 1 second for the orb to fully crystallise and during crystallisation anybody can visibly see what direction the orb will explode towards as the crystals will start forming in that direction first. Upon explosion, the orb shatters and about 30 small shards shoot out in the direction Valentine chose. After impact, the shards only go back to liquid form after one minute. This action costs Valentine 25% of her Aura and will not be able to use it again for 30 minutes as it would put too much mental strain on her.
  • Blood Clotting - If Valentine concentrates for at least 20 seconds she is able to make her own blood start clotting on a wounded area. She can only do this on wounds that are minor wounds. Examples of this would be if she cuts her finger or gets cut with a weapon. She cannot heal wounds that are more than one centimeter deep. This action doesnít cost her any Aura.
  • Blood Absorption - Valentine can mix her own blood with blood that is not hers without her immune system rejecting it, allowing her to replenish the amount of blood in her in case she was/is bleeding out and lost/losing blood. Using this does not consume Aura.
  • Blood Marionette - Valentine can make her limbs move as long as they have blood in them. This also lets her move while her body is paralysed. Performing this action doesn't consume any Aura. She can only control herself or bodies that are not protected by Aura. She loses this ability once her Aura depletes.

The blood travels at a maximum speed of 200km/h and the crystallised blood travels half of that speed (100km/h). She can only conjure one blood orb at a time and this orb follows her wherever she goes. The orb canít go further away from her than a meter at maximum and it grows in size depending on how much blood Valentine is currently controlling. She can only control roughly 5.5 liters of blood that is stored in the orb.

The semblanceís main weakness is that if the enemy can get rid of the blood orb it renders Valentineís semblance useless, and potentially can neutralise Valentine too. This can be achieved by focusing the blood orb as the blood is surrounded by her Aura as well as her. Effectively, her Aura is split between the blood orb and herself. Easiest way of dealing with Valentine is damaging the blood orb instead of her as the orb cannot dodge attacks, it floats next to Valentine at all times and only moves if Valentine does too or when she commands the orb to move. Still the easiest target would be the orb as it's way slower than Valentine.

Valentine is unable to change the shape of the crystallised blood as well as she cannot control the movement of blood shards. This means that if she creates a protective wall of blood and crystallises it, she will not be able to move the wall around. It also prevents her from making the shards suddenly change directions mid-air, after she sends them out she crystallises them so she will not have control over the projectile.

Opponents can parry her attacks as her blood attacks become solid on the edge for a split second or if they are in shard form they can just be blocked or dodged.

Valentine is still a novice at using her semblance, this causes her to sometimes lose control over the blood she is using, this makes the blood fall straight on the ground and any moving blood will stop moving if either they lose movement or if they contact a solid surface. The blood that is in mid-air and is flying down towards the ground will not damage anyone it touches, just think of it as a water splash. A very red water splashÖ

She needs to focus to control the blood, because of this she needs to stand in place or move really slowly while moving the blood so that she maintains control.

The maximum range she can control the blood is 20 meters maximum, origin point is the blood orb.

I decided to write this much about her semblance so its clear how it works. Though I have to admit its somewhat complicated...


Combat Behavior:  Valentine is adept at long ranged combat. Her semblance allows her to stay rather far away from her enemies and still be a threat to them. In combat, she would stay at the backline and use the blood gathered beforehand, some of her own blood or pre-stored blood in the canisters she carries around to hurt enemies. She would focus on offense when she has distance between her and her enemy and would try to use the crystallised blood as a shield if she needs to block something that is going her way.
Paralysing her is impossible as it only affects the central nervous system but because she can control her own blood it also means that she can just make her limbs move while paralysed.

If an enemy comes close to her she switches to her dual whips to engage in close range combat.
She is capable of fighting in close combat with her whips but she prefers to use her semblance when her aura is still relatively healthy. Thanks to this she only uses her whips when the enemy gets close to her or if she is getting nowhere with using her semblance. If she runs out of blood or her aura is low she will use her whips instead to fight the enemy. She would keep her distance so she can attack the target from mid-range using Pain but if they get close she would use Ruin to fend them off. She could use the whip to disarm the enemy by coiling the whip around the weapon or wrist of the enemy and suddenly pulling, this would most likely result in sending the weapon flying or at least throwing the enemy off balance.

Her semblance costs Aura to use. This means that if an opponent can successfully deflect/destroy the blood attacks without taking less damage than what it costs Valentine to perform the attack then she will run out of Aura sooner than the opponent.
Disarming her or making the whips coil around something solid is an effective way to deal with her, assuming that the enemy will fight in melee range after of if the object is solid enough that the chainsaw wont cut through it easily. She is weak if her whip gets stuck as she would need to untangle them to continue using them. Valentine, due to the nature of her weapons, can't block or parry attacks, only partial parry if she manages to hit the enemy's weapon while they are swinging. She also lacks enough experience to fight with her weapons due to the amount of time she spent on training with her semblance, this means that she is in somewhat of a disadvantage against opponents who possess excellent skills with their weapons.

Pros:
-Really good at ranged combat.
-Has a lot of ways for dealing with enemies.
-Great offensive capabilities.
-Immunity to paralysing poisons and pain.
-Can disarm enemies relatively easily by using her whip if they don't anticipate it.
-Mostly Semblance reliant.

Cons:
-Struggles in close quarters as she can only rely on her chainsaw whip and she isn't that experienced in fighting with weapons.
-Semblance is taxing on her Aura.
-Low mobility when using her semblance, this makes her an easy target.
-Her weapons can be rendered useless for a significant duration if they get wrapped around an object.
-If her aura goes down she can't move.
-Can only partial parry attacks due to the nature of her weapons. Can't block attacks.

WEAPONS

Name: Pain & Ruin

Primary Form: A dark purple umbrella with crimson marks on it. The umbrella makes use of an ultra-light polymer layer that protects Valentine from the rain and sunlight.

Secondary Form: The umbrella can be split in half after closing it, the beams stack together and along with the handle they become flexible. Small blades extend from the weapons. The two parts each form a whip, one is a shorter one with a chainsaw mechanism and the other one is a longer one with a lot of blades.
The longer one is called Pain. It is a 3m long whip, not so good for close combat but a lot better for mid-range combat. Blades come out in every direction on the whip.
The shorter one is called Ruin. It is a 1.5m long weapon which makes it ideal for close ranged combat. It also has a chainsaw mechanism where the blades move up and down in a circular motion on the weapon.

Dust Functions: Pain can be infused with electric dust to have electrical attacks when hitting a target and Ruin can be infused with fire dust to make the moving blades lightly catch on fire.

History: She made this during her time at Signal Academy along with her canisters to protect her from the heat of the sun as well as to inflict pain and wounds on enemies. These whips were designed to tear up flesh so that she can have a ready supply of blood from her enemies.

Name: Blood Canisters

Primary Form: A silver coloured canister that holds blood in it. She carries 3 canisters on her if she goes into a fight prepared. Otherwise she doesn't carry them.

History: She made this during her time at Signal Academy along with her weapon so she can have blood ready for her semblance.

CHARACTER

Name: Valentine Bloodfang

Age: 18 born on the 14th of Amare, 62AC.

Species and Gender: Sanguivorous Bat Faunus, Female

Symbol: A white bat symbol with a crimson coloured orb above it's head on a black background.

Occupation: First Year student at Beacon Academy.

Appearance: Valentine has a silver and curly hair which comes down to about shoulder height with one dark purple ribbon as adornment on one side. Her eyes are crimson red in colour. Valentine is 5'3 tall, weights 108lbs and has really pale skin. She would look almost corpse-white if not for the slight red on her cheeks. As a sanguivorous bat faunus, she possesses two fangs that are clearly visible when she talks. Her breasts are rather underdeveloped for her age.  She can be seen in a wheelchair when she is at home or if her Aura depletes. When she does stand however, her stance is lady-like and confident, and she also gives off a mysterious, unnerving and eerie vibe. She wouldn't be surprised if she made someone suffer a heart attack if they saw her in a dark alley at night.

Her usual clothing consists of a dark purple dress - that stops just above her knees - with a  Λ shaped neck, this reveals the shoulders. The neck part of the dress has ruffles on it and so does the bottom of the dress. A reddish-purple line runs down the middle of the dress which is also decorated with ruffles on the side. She wears dark purple sleeves that also have ruffles at each end. These match with her dark purple nail polish. Lastly, she wears dark purple shoes. She also has a coat for winter, when the weather is rather chilly.

Her uniform is as you would expect. There aren't any changes, really.

History: Valentine was born into a wealthy family as an only child. Her parents were strict and expected a lot from Valentine as they were one of the wealthier faunus families in the area. They were strict but at the same time they were really caring and they didn't throw a cold shoulder at her, they just expected great things from Valentine and she tried her hardest to live up to that.

Her father was a huntsman and her mother was a huntress, so naturally she wanted to become a huntress as well. At the age of ten she was already studying really hard to get into Signal Academy, even though you can only apply at the age of thirteen.
One unfortunate day, when her family was about to depart from home, unknown criminals barged into their mansion and killed both her parents in front of Valentine, and all she could do was watch in dread from the top of the staircase leading up to the second floor of the mansion. The criminals were going to finish her off, however the urging sound of the police grew louder and louder, so they ran from the scene before they could end her.
She called out to her parents in desperation as she ran towards their limp bodies, but they didn't reply. The white carpet of the Main Hall was stained with the ever-growing pool of vivid crimson blood that seeped from the bodies. She helplessly collapsed on her Mother's body, repeatedly calling her name, to no avail. She felt something sticky on her hands, and as her gaze averted from her Mother to her palms, she immediately understood what it was. Her hands were bloody, her clothes were bloody, her parents were bloody. At that point she also noticed the wounds all over her parents, that is when her mind shut down and went blank.

The next thing she knew is that she was in a hospital bed, with a doctor standing by her side. When Valentine regained enough strength to speak, she asked the doctor what happened. The doctor explained that what they were told was that when the police arrived at the scene, they found her unconsciously lying on the ground, and she suffered from a severe trauma to her neck. She almost died, but fortunately the Hospital she was carried to was able to perform a bone reconstruction surgery on her neck. Her spinal cord was damaged, and thus she cannot move or feel her body neck-down but at least her neck is as good as ever.

That is not all of the story, which Valentine remembered soon after she recovered. When the police arrived at the mansion, they saw a girl, covered in blood, sitting on the now almost completely red carpet soaked in blood, talking to her parents. Her Mom and Dad were on their feet and looking at her, and as she noticed the police's presence from the sounds of boots on the floor, she and her parents turned towards them. The police officers were shocked by the sight of two fatally injured people casually standing there, and a girl who was sinisterly grinning at them. Soon they also realised that the two adults were not alive. They asked the girl what happened with her parents, but she replied: "There is nothing wrong with my parents Mister. Mom and Dad are perfectly fine! Look how lively they are!" as she giggled, then that turned into laughter which sent shivers down the police officers' spine. They had to stop this, so they tried restraining the parents. Valentine grabbed one of the police officers and screamed to let her Mom go, and in the process she lost her balance and fell backwards right onto the first step of the stairs. She was unlucky enough to severely hurt her neck during the fall, and instantly lost consciousness.

When Valentine was told what happened to her spine, she tried to move but to her fear, she couldn't. The doctor explained that the spinal cord was severely damaged, so much so that there is little to no chance of recovery. The news shocked her so much that she blanked out for a few seconds before she finally reacted as she started crying.

The hospital kept her for 3 months before releasing her, and she was brought back to her mansion. She was in no condition to even dream of getting into Signal but she still kept on trying every day to get up, to move her hands and feet again. She spent her days concentrating extremely hard to move even one of her fingers, sleeping in her room or looking out of the enormous window next to her, watching as the clouds ran through the sky and disappeared in the horizon. She tried day after day to move her body once again, to no success.
After some time however, when she was doing her daily routine of trying to focus and train her mind to be able to move, she finally managed to move her fingers. It was just for a mere moment, and it was definitely not because of some miracle. She was finally getting a grasp on how to use her Semblance. As she had a lot of free time due to having to stay in bed the whole day, (except for when the maids helped her with number one and number two) she had plenty of time to get better at using the Semblance.

One and a half year passed. She was going to be twelve that year, just one year away from the start of the Signal enrolment exams. She trained day and night to be able to walk again, and to have the basic movements re-learned in her muscle memory for the past year. Well, technically it was more like re-training her brain to use her semblance to move a part of her body when she think of doing so. The process was long, and she no doubt hurt herself quite a bit while doing so. Even though she can't feel pain anymore in her body below her neck, hitting your head in the floor when you land undoubtedly still hurts like hell. She recovered from her accident enough that she was able to attend the Signal Exams and barely pass thanks to the fact that academically she was so far ahead of everyone, so at least getting anchored to the bed actually paid off. This also allowed her to focus more on combat and to be able to have a chance at winning a fight.
She was also part of the student council during her time at Signal.

Now, after finishing Signal Academy with above average grades both in academical studies and combat, she was accepted into Beacon Academy for further training so that she can become a huntress. Of course, Beacon did obtain her medical records, however thanks to being rich she managed to tamper with the documents, so that her mental disorder is not listed. This was just a safety measure so that they wont deem her unfit for the job of being a huntress. She will be attending Beacon in hopes of following the same career path as her parents and graduate as a fully fledged Huntress in hopes of being able to protect the innocent, so that the same tragedy does not happen to others as it did to her, and she will do anything to achieve this goal.

Personality: Valentine is a friendly person when you get to know her, however you wouldn't know at first glance. There is an eerie and misterious aura radiating from her. Even though she might be smiling, good observers might notice a slightly dark and malicious intent in her eyes. One might say her signature feature would be her stare, a hint of malice paired with a stare as sharp as a dagger even when she is smiling can send shivers down your spine. She can get along well with others if she thinks associating herself with them is a good idea, but acts cold and dismissive towards people who she doesn't like. She is quite intelligent and can read most people like a book by how they act and speak. She is refined and has good manners, as expected from someone who comes from a rich family. Valentine is also calm and collected most of the time and thinks before speaking, however she actually suffers from some mental problems. These problems originate from the trauma she suffered when her parents died, and while she takes medication to stop her twisted thought process from emerging, she is unable to get better. Her condition can sometimes be rather unstable.
Valentine has to take a few types of medication including: Medication designed to prevent random twitching of the body due to the malfunctioning spinal cord, and medication that keeps her in a normal state of mind which also helps repress the trauma.
Her academic grades are good, she rarely gets a bad grade in class and she usually performs a little above average in terms of academic studies.

She is a sanguivorous bat faunus so she drinks blood instead of eating food or drinking water (However she can digest normal foods, it just doesn't sate her hunger). Valentine doesn't like sunlight, thanks to her bat faunus origins and she can get sunburned a lot sooner than other people, thanks to her pale skin. She prefers cold places that are not under direct sunlight. She also carries an umbrella because of this even in broad daylight, so that the sunlight doesn't damage her skin.
Valentine spends her free time drawing, drinking tea, going on a walk at a park or simply sleeping if the weather is too sunny. She also enjoys just walking through the city at night as its a lot darker than during the day.

It is a touchy topic to talk about disabilities around her as she takes it really seriously even when it isn't about her, and it reminds her of the incident. She is disabled from her neck downwards but thanks to her semblance she can move around as if she wasn't. She doesn't want to tell people that she is disabled and she tries to do everything to hide it. This is mainly because she doesnt want to seem like a burden or dead weight, since se can hold her ground just as well as others.
As she is disabled, she can't feel anything below her neck. This means that she doesn't notice if something is hot or if she gets injured. If she is unsure about something, she either wont do it or ask someone beforehand, as a safety measure. To make sure she is perfectly fine she has to check herself regularly and also checks her whole body every night before sleep so that she won't run the risk of an infection or anything serious like that. It is like a routine to her by now.

Beacon Academy prohibited the use of her Semblance to reanimate the dead in public unless specifically stated beforehand. She is aware that people might freak out when they see the Marionettes, and that it can cause a bad reputation to Beacon Academy. She looks at the Marionettes as tools however, not people. Her reasoning is that they no longer need their bodies anymore, so might as well be useful to her in one way or another.

Semblance: Sanguinarian Control - Valentine can control and manipulate blood cells and plasma. She is able to control blood that is either her own or blood which is not protected by an aura. If she gets near blood that is not protected by aura, for example if someone just bled out and left a pool behind, she can control it. Valentine collects blood from any source that she can find, and stores the blood in a floating orb which stays near her at all times.
(If her Aura depletes she cannot perform actions with her Semblance.)

  • Blood Clotting - If Valentine concentrates for at least 20 seconds she is able to make her own blood start clotting on a wounded area. She can only do this on wounds that are minor wounds. Examples of this would be if she cuts her finger or gets cut with a weapon. She cannot heal wounds that are more than one centimeter deep and the sped up regeneration causes her to tire out really fast, depending on the wound. Generally speaking, a scratch can be healed without issues, getting cut by a weapon causes minor fatigue and a one centimeter deep cut of the same size wound would significantly tire her out.
  • Blood Absorption - Due to being able to manipulate blood, Valentine can mix her own blood with blood that is not hers without her immune system rejecting it, allowing her to replenish the amount of blood in her in case she is bleeding out and losing blood. Excess blood that she absorbs also causes her to restore a certain amount of aura in the process. If the blood orb is at its maximum limit, Valentine can restore 5% of her maximum aura, however, performing this action tires her out slightly. If used this way, blood absorbtion cannot be used for another one hour to restore Aura due to exhaustion.
  • Blood Marionette - Valentine can make her limbs move as long as they have blood in them. This also lets her move while her body is paralysed. She can only control herself or bodies that are not able to generate an Aura. She loses this ability once her Aura depletes. Whenever she gathered enough blood in her blood orb, she can use it to reanimate a corpse for an extended period of time to fight for her. She can maintain control over the Marionette as long as she is conscious, however doing so tires her out. One Marionette barely effects her, however two is her limit. She can control two corpses for a maximum of 50 seconds, and one for about 100 seconds.
    If she controls two Marionettes, she will lose a significant portion of her own reaction time and concentration to do so.

Primary Form: A silver coloured canister with a glass line running down the middle that holds blood in it. She carries 3 canisters on her almost all the time. These relataively small capsules act as an emergency food supply usually, however they can also be used for various things with her semblance.

History: She made this during her time at Signal Academy along with her weapon so she can have blood ready for her semblance, or sate her hunger if she gets hungry.

Appearance: Shiro has dark blue hair which she keeps in two uneven twintails, the right lock of her hair is shorter than the left. She has sapphire blue eyes and her skin is very pale, the later is because of Atlesian origins. She is a little short for her age, standing at about 5'2ft (without the high heels on her boots). She has a very small and thin figure, as she is rather skinny and  she is also light, only weighting 90lbs. Her breast size is an A-cup.

When it comes to what Shiro wears it either comes down to one of two things.

Uniform: Well... Pretty self explanatory. She wears the Beacon Academy uniform when she is required to, and ONLY when she is required to.

Combat Attire: Whenever she can she will be in her combat attire at all times. She wears a black choker made of silk on her neck. Shiro also wears a formal shirt and a dark blue sleeveless dress made of smooth denim material. The dress goes down to her thighs but the sides and back of the dress extends downwards to knee height. She wears dark blue fingerless silk gloves and a white belt which has a black line through the middle. She keeps her weapons on said belt in their storage forms at all times. Shiro wears thigh high socks which are dark blue in color and she also wears high heeled boots, the same color as her socks.
Her combat attire allows her to move quite fast and it doesn't restrict her movement much but on the other hand it is somewhat unpractical against the cold. Shiro has a rather high resistance to cold, mainly because she is Atlesian, so even though her attire doesn't provide enough protection against chilly weather in itself, she doesn't really mind it unless its close to 0 degrees Celsius. She thinks the weather in Vale is "too hot."

Shiro was born in a middle-class family in Atlas. Her parents brought her with them to a business trip to Vale as they wanted to have a vacation after their business trip was over. Shiro's parents died in a car accident after leaving the babysitter with Shiro. She got sent to an orphanage because she had no other living relatives where she made friends with 4 other kids.

One of them, Kai, was adopted and had to move to Vacuo with his new family. Hanako, who had a crush on him and has been friends with him for a really long time was left devastated by the sudden turn of events and was depressed. Shiro and the two other boys, Takashi and Yuu tried to cheer Hanako up but nothing worked.

Takashi remembered a beautiful grove he found outside the city when he also found a way out of Vale by closely watching the guards' patrol schedule and proposed the idea of showing that to Hanako. Shiro warned them that its a bad idea as that is Grimm territory but Takashi and Yuu didn't listen to her and persuaded Hanako to go with them. Fearing for her friends' lives Shiro went with them too.

They managed to slip past the guards and made their way through the forest. They reached the grove and indeed it was really beautiful. It also seemed that their plan worked and Hanako was smiling once again. They spent some time in the grove, too much time in fact and when Shiro realised this she was nagging her friends to turn around and go back before something bad happens. They didn't listen to her as she was the type to get scared easily but her fears came true and two Beowolfs and an Ursa stepped into the grove. The group tried to run but Hanako fell, Yuu rushed to her aid but was too late and the Beowolfs mauled them to death. Shiro and Takashi ran for their lives from the Ursa that was still chasing them, Shiro was not able to run fast enough to escape and knowing this, Takashi caught the Ursa's attention by shouting at it and throwing a rock at it and led it away from her, disappearing into the forest.

Shiro ran until she reached the spot where they got out of the city and waited for Takashi to return but he never did. She ran back to the orphanage, barged into her room and cried for the rest of the day. She took all the blame on herself, thinking that it was her fault that they died, that she wasn't able to save them because of her personality. She also suffered from nightmares every night. A week later a group of huntsman found three corpses and when the police identified them they were indeed Takashi, Yuu and Hanako. They asked questions to Shiro who broke down during the interrogation but they tried again later and finally she was able to tell them everything that happened.

Shiro developed immense hatred towards Grimm and decided what carrier path she will take, to become a Huntress. Before she could do that she needed to overcome her nightmares and guilt. She figured it was her personality that was the reason things played out as they did so she completely sealed away her current one and constructed a new one, a cool, tomboy-ish, reliable and intimidating personality and changed her clothes accordingly too. It seemed that the nightmares were getting better and when she did have them she wasn't feeling as hopeless and scared as before. It came to the point where she barely had any nightmares in one year. Now she finally could focus on training.

At the age of 14 she started attending Signal Academy while she also took up jobs that made her easy money like taking dogs on walks, lawn mowing and the likes. When she turned 18 and graduated from Signal with good scores, she inherited all her parents' money. This meant that she finally could stop taking small jobs and could sustain herself from just her inheritance. She also made her combat attire around that time. She got accepted into Beacon Academy to further train to be a Huntress.

The staff that were working at the orphanage took care of her along with many other children that shared the same, or similar fate. There were many kids at the orphanage and the chances for finding a new family for Shiro was more than one in a thousand. Life at the orphanage was strict, or at least they tried to be strict as the number of kids per staff member was so high they just couldn't keep track of everything. Nothing really noteworthy happened for 7 years apart from Shiro having a good time playing with the other kids and occasionally getting a present when a charity donated toys or clothes to the orphanage, which only happened once or twice in those 7 years.

When Shiro asked what happened to her parents later on when she was 10 the staff at the orphanage lied about it, telling her that her parents abandoned her as they didnít believe they would be capable of raising a child by themselves. Despite everything, Shiro was really cheerful and adorable and she liked anything that was cute and pretty, quite normal for a girl her age.

At the same time this happened, she made friends with four other children at the orphanage, three boys named Takashi, Kai and Yuu, and a girl named Hanako. Shiro would hang out with them whenever she had the time and everything was going fine. That is, until a year later Kai got adopted and had to move to Vacuo with his new family. Hanako was devastated by this as she was best friends with Kai for a really long time and secretly had a crush on him too. Shiro, as well as Takashi and Yuu both knew that so they tried to cheer her up but nothing seemed to work. Hanako was getting worse and worse with each day passing and it came to the point where she didnít even want to get out of her bed and she spent one whole day just laying there doing nothing.

This orphanage had a lot of children and the few staff that were supervising the kids found it hard to keep track of everyone at the same time. There was also a fault in the fence that separated the back yard from a back alley and it wasnít uncommon that Takashi used this route to wander around Vale every now and then. One time when he went out he was gone for a really long time and nobody knew anything about where he was. Thankfully the staff didnít notice his absence and he finally returned after almost a day without any consequence. He didnít say anything to Shiro or anyone else, when they asked he always just replied with ďJust went a bit farther than usual and got lost. Nothing special.Ē The truth was that he managed to find a way to slip past the guards that were guarding the border thanks to a fault in their patrol schedule that he was actually studying for a while now. After slipping past the guards he wandered the nearby forest and found a beautiful grove where he spent some time just relaxing and forgot about the time, almost missing the opportunity to get back to Vale that day.

Remembering this, Takashi had the brilliant idea of showing that place to Hanako in hopes of cheering her up. When he discussed it with the group Yuu thought it was a good idea, but Shiro on the other hand knew that this was really dangerous. She warned the two boys that it is dangerous outside the walls as anything beyond that is Grimm territory. Takashi was certain that Grimm don't show up in that area as he didn't see any while he was out. Despite Shiro's warnings they informed Hanako and persuaded her to come with them. Nervous and worried about her friends' safety, Shiro tagged along as well. They had no trouble slipping through the patrolling guards after waiting for the time where they can go through. As they went deeper into the forest Shiro became more and more anxious with every step they took until they finally arrived at their destination. With the exception of Takashi, they had no idea what the place he found looked like.

When Shiro stepped into the grove she was amazed, so much so that she actually froze in place for a split second and completely forgot about her worries. Shiro, Takashi and Yuu looked at each other and then at Hanako in union to see if it was worth the hassle. It looked like the plan worked as Hanako smiled as she looked around and thanked them for showing this to her. Shiro and her friends spent some time in the grove before she remembered why she was worried. Coming to the sudden realisation that they really aren't supposed to stay here for too long she nagged them to go back. Her friends shook her warnings off, saying that she was just too paranoid. Its true that she was easily scared, but sometimes being paranoid or scared can save you from dangerous situations. Shiro thought she heard a quiet sound in the woods, like a twig breaking. She begged them to listen to her and turn get back behind the safety of the walls. No matter how hard she tried to convince them they wouldn't believe her.

Just when Yuu thought that Shiro wouldn't be so desperate to go back if it was just her imagination, it was too late. Two Beowolfs and an Ursa leaped into the grove, completely scaring the four of them. Screaming, the kids started to run towards the path that lead back to safety. Hanako tripped over a small rock that was sticking out of the ground so Yuu ran back to try to help her up and escape but the Grimm caught up and the Beowolfs mauled them to death. Shiro and Takashi were horrified but their lives were in danger too as the Ursa almost caught up to them. While Takashi might be able to run fast enough to not get caught by the Ursa before reaching the wall as he regularly exercised, Shiro would not be able to keep up. When the Grimm was meters away from Shiro, Takashi picked up a rock while running and threw it at the Ursa. He took a turn right and shouted as hard as he could, this caught the Ursa's attention and soon they disappeared into the woods. Shiro was too scared to turn back so she ran as fast as she could before reaching the passage where they slipped past the guards. She stopped and looked around but Takashi was nowhere to be seen. She waited and waited but she realised that he probably received the same fate as Yuu and Hanako.

Her legs still shaking, she slipped through the guards once again and didn't stop until she reached the orphanage. She barged into her room, locked the door, laid down on her bed and cried for god knows how long. Needless to say that she didn't come out of her room that day. She blamed herself for what happened, that she couldn't convince them sooner and even Takashi's death was because of her. The next day the staff finally noticed that there were three kids missing and naturally, as they knew that Shiro was friends with them they asked where they were. Shiro pretended she didn't know and that she haven't seen them. The orphanage informed the police and a week later a group of huntsmen found three bodies in the forest near Vale. The police identified the corpses and they were indeed Takashi, Yuu and Hanako. The staff were concerned that Shiro barely went out of her room after the kids went missing and her mood was at an all time low, but they decided to let her be. When the police wanted to investigate their rooms they told the staff that they wanted to ask a couple of questions to Shiro, as the staff mentioned that she was close friends with the missing children. Shiro was called into a meeting room in the orphanage where she met two police officers and they started asking her questions. These questions they asked opened up fresh wounds, and she finally broke. She started shaking and crying and they couldn't get anything out of her except the thing she was repeating: "I'M SORRY!".

The police officers told the orphanage that they should contact them when Shiro calms down so that they can ask questions to her again about the incident. The staff were concerned about her mental health after what happened so they kept an eye on her at all times. Shiro seemed to be recovering quite fast if we exclude the nightmares she had every night. These nightmares varied from night to night but they all had the same core, three children standing in front of Shiro, all repeating the same lines over and over again. These lines were about how Shiro didn't help them and left them behind. In the distance three distorted figures of Grimm were running towards them and just before they reached them she would wake up from the nightmare.

The police came back and, again, asked Shiro the same questions but keeping in mind what happened the last time they rephrased those questions so that the same thing wont happen again. Shiro told them everything that has happened as she figured there would be no point in lying about it. Satisfied, the police officers got ready to go back and write their reports but before they parted they scolded Shiro to not do such things again. Even they knew that it would be pointless to even say, knowing what happened now there would be no way she would do that again anyways.

Shiro developed immense hatred towards Grimm the longer she thought about what happened and remembered the people who found her friend's bodies. Huntsmen. From that moment she knew what she wanted to be. A huntress. To rid the existence of Grimm from the face of the earth and to protect the innocent.

But before she could do any of that she had to overcome her nightmares and guilt. She figured that her personality was the reason why things played out of they did so she almost completely changed her personality from girl-ish, cutesy and adorable to cool, tomboy-ish and intimidating. This also meant that she needs to change the way she dresses to make an even bigger impact so she started wearing clothes that looked similar to what guys wear. This complete overhaul of her personality seemed to work, people seemed to take her seriously all the time, they were wary of her and they seemed to not mess with her. The nightmares were starting to get better too, she didn't have nightmares every night and when she did she wasn't feeling as hopeless and scared as before. Personality: At first sight, Shiro might come off as a daring, tomboy-ish girl. Her voice is a bit deeper than an average girl's voice and her face expression is rather serious most of the time. Whenever she does something she does it with great confidence, be that as something simple as just walking, standing or talking, or something complex; like fighting. Shiro, at first sight is too intimidating for most people; because of this she only made 3 friends during the 18 years she's been alive, and those friends have passed away. Shiro's hobby is listening to music in her free time, her favourite types of music being Rock, Metal and Heavy Metal, but she enjoys listening to anything really. She even has an electronic guitar that she sometimes plays when she feels bored or sad. Shiro cares about her friends a lot (If she would have any...). She would risk her own life to save her friends from certain death, no matter how slim that chance might be.

While how Shiro looks and acts like might be intimidating and might come off as tomboy-ish, that is just a facade which does not reflect her true personality. Shiro is obsessed with being and acting 'cool' in front of others so she comes off as reliable, confident and strong and doesn't show her true personality which she locked up deep in herself.  Shiro's 'true' personality only rarely can be seen when she relaxes and lowers her guard. She has a cutesy, somewhat adorable personality full of innocence and love towards everything, completely a 180 turn from how she acts in front of them. Her voice also changes gradually from tomboy-ish to a really high pitched and rather cute one.

Shiro thinks that her true personality wouldn't come off as reliable, strong, confident or serious so she locked away her true personality deep within herself and constructed a new one over it that would help her in those areas where her actual personality was lacking.

When it comes to school, Shiro can be considered as average. Her grades never really stood out from the rest. Sure every now and then she slipped in an above average grade because of lucky guessing on a test but that was a rare thing. She doesn't struggle with subjects but at the same time she doesn't do really well in them either.

Aura and Semblance: Aura Color: White
Aura: Shiro's aura pool is considered average among students in Beacon Academy. Her regeneration through aura is above average, this allows the regeneration of wounds quicker than that of a normal student.

Semblance: Copycat - Shiro's semblance is an illusion type of semblance. Shiro is able to make people believe that who they are looking at is not Shiro, but somebody else that Shiro chose to mimic.
When Shiro wants to mimic somebody else's appearance she first has to study that person's body from their hair to their toes for at least 20 seconds before memorising and making a mental note which she can recall later to use her semblance. She can have up to 5 mental notes of people's appearance at a time. She is also able to mimic their voice if she was able to listen to them talking for at least around 7 seconds.
After memorising the appearance of the person she wants to mimic she needs to be within a 50 meter area of somebody else that she wants to fool with the copied appearance. Anybody outside the 50 meter range will see Shiro as Shiro. This drains her aura by 1% for every 20 seconds (3/min) she keeps the illusion up - up to a maximum of 30 minutes - and for each person Shiro wants to trick with a fake appearance in the 50 meter area increases the aura usage by another 1%.

Shiro can only use her Semblance for 30 minutes at most because if she uses it for any longer than that she will pass out from mental exhaustion. The most she can use her semblance is 2 hours per day (assuming she can recharge her aura capacity 4x during the day).
Shiro is only able to recreate somebody's appearance but she is not able to recreate their semblance, their physical strength and their equipment. The later IS recreated only in the form of an illusion, Shiro isn't able to use the equipment that is seen by others she is trying to trick.
The mental notes perfectly mimic the person that Shiro memorised, but if a person has a scar or any physical mark on their body that was not visible while Shiro was memorising them she will not be able to recreate the full appearance of said person.
If a person she is trying to fool notices that Shiro isn't the person she is mimicking then the illusion will break and her semblance will deactivate for 10 seconds, revealing her true appearance to everyone affected in the area.
It is not possible for Shiro to have two appearances at a time, excluding her real one. This means that even if she has two mental copies of two different people and she wants to trick two people, she can't have one of them see person A while the other one is seeing person B.
Even though there isn't a limit to how many people she can trick at a time, she needs to be aware of the person she wants to use her semblance on. This means that having to concentrate on more people is way harder for her than to just focus on one person at a time and the semblance is mentally punishing this way.

Combat Behaviour: Thanks to her semblance, Shiro excels at infiltrating the enemy lines without getting noticed. This allows her to sabotage enemy facilities or catch her target off-guard and gun them down before they could even react. She would move quickly and unnoticed while disguising herself as one of the enemy. Her combat behaviour would be stealthy whenever possible and surprise attacking her opponent while they aren't aware of her presence.

When infiltration/surprising the enemy is not an option or when she is fighting Grimm her fighting style becomes more along the lines of running and gunning. She would keep her distance from her opponent as long as possible either until she runs out of ammunition or until her enemy catches up to her. This minimises the damage she takes from melee attacks and also keeps a safe distance so that the enemy will have more trouble using anything semblance-related. If the enemy catches up to her she will activate the second form of Vindicator to be able to defend herself better against melee attacks. She will use sword swings and gun shots while in close range. Whenever she has some distance between her and her opponent she would fire off a couple of shots from Ambassador for free damage.

When she is clearly against an opponent who has a disadvantage in close range combat she will activate Vindicator v.2 and try to get as close to her opponent as possible while firing with Ambassador, moving from cover to cover whenever possible.
Shiro will only stop during combat if she needs to activate Vindicator v.2, when she is behind cover, when she needs to recover her strength or when she switches ammunition types in Ambassador.

Shiro is a good team player, capable of providing support with her special, dust infused rounds or getting the enemy's attention while allowing her teammate to re position themselves, should they be cornered or in a bad situation. Her semblance also allows her to infiltrate the enemy's security and let her team slip past highly guarded areas by creating a distraction or knocking out the guards.

Of course everyone has weaknesses, this includes Shiro.
Her semblance is practically useless when the enemy either knows her semblance or is keeping an eye on her. Thanks to this she has a major disadvantage and struggles with anyone who has a better combat-oriented semblance.
Shiro also suffers a couple of seconds downtime while she is switching the ammunition in her pistols, during this time she can barely move so she would try and hide behind cover. If she cant change the rounds safely in her pistols then she wont attempt it and would have to stick to normal rounds that are less powerful and which don't have any special effects to them.


WEAPON

Name: Vindicator and Ambassador

Primary Form: Two pistols, Vindicator in her left and Ambassador in her right, are dual wielded by Shiro. Both pistols are silver colored where the metal is and both pistols have a dark blue handle. She uses the weapons' primary form 90% of the time while in combat.

Secondary Form: Shiro carries a metal box on the left side of her belt which has a blue button on its side. By pressing said button the box unfolds into a one-handed sword blade. By pressing a small blue button located below the trigger and on the handle, Vindicator is capable of transforming into a sword hilt with a socket where the blade should go. When connected, the blade and the hilt go together and form a one-handed sword (Vindicator v.2) which Shiro can wield along with one of her pistols.
The weapon is 90cm in length (around 35 inches) and weights about 1.1kg (2.4lbs). When she wants to reverse the transformation of Vindicator v.2 she needs to just press the button on the hilt twice to separate and transform both parts of the weapon into their respective storage forms.

Storage Form: Pressing the blue buttons on the pistols twice in rapid succession makes them transform into a box similar to the sword blade's storage form. She keeps these boxes on the right side of her belt.

Dust Functions: Ambassador, her right handed pistol has dust cartridges as well as normal bullets as ammunition. Ambassador is capable of firing 3 dust type bullets. Shiro is able to carry one high capacity magazine per dust type, said magazine can only contain 30 rounds.
  • Fire Dust - When a fire dust round is fired from Ambassador it creates a small explosion on impact with any surface. This explosion is far weaker than a grenade for example but if used against organic targets it can leave serious injuries and burns.
  • Ice Dust - When an ice dust round is fired from Ambassador it creates ice on impact. If the bullet collided with anything that is not protected by aura it leaves an ice patch in a 50cm area around where the bullet has landed and it will stay there for about a minute. If the bullet hits something that is protected by aura this area is reduced to 15cm and it will melt in 3 seconds. The ice patch restricts movement of anything it touches until it melts or breaks off around the object. One thing to note is that it does not freeze the thing it comes in contact with but rather forms an ice layer around the area.
  • Kinetic Dust - When a kinetic dust round is fired from Ambassador it increases the strength of the bullet by increasing its velocity, the durability of the shell is higher, this combined with the modified shape of it allows the bullet to penetrate through thicker armor than an ordinary bullet would.

History: She made her two pistols and blade extension in Signal Academy as its required for students to make their own weapons. Shiro named her guns Vindicator and Ambassador because she thought they are 'cool' names for a weapon.

I don't know if its just me who finds it troublesome but it is really annoying to refresh the site pages every time you want to view if someone posted something new. Is there a way where the site automatically updates the pages with the new posts or something so that people can stop smashing that reload page button? :P

 (Also this counter can be abused if you click it a hundred times then that person will have 100 likes/dislikes just from you which seems kind of dumb to me.)

Occupation: First year student at Beacon Academy.

Appearance: Blanc has ever-messy light blue hair which reaches her neck, with the exception of two very long strands on the side which almost reach her stomach. The top would be akin to a cowlick. Her eyes are pink-red colored. Blanc is a pale skinned girl who is 5ft tall and weighs 98lb. Because of her height she is often mistaken as a 10-12 year old which usually triggers her temper. She has a petite build but her chest size is an A-Cup which, again, doesn't help to relieve the confusion of some people.

She wears a white dress with dark brown lining and markings on it which ends above her knees. On top of her dress she wears a hoodie which is also white and has a light blue lining on it. She wears white boots that resemble sandals that are black at the bottom, they also have a red line on them which resemble the straps on sandals. If the weather is warm enough she usually only wears her dress and doesn't bring her hoodie with her.

History: Blanc was born into a wealthy upper-class family in Vale. The family's wealth came from her parents' work; they were managing the trade routes of alcohol importation into Vale and were the ones also responsible for managing the alcohol distribution to bars and other shops. In her childhood Blanc was not allowed to leave the Valiere property as her parents were really overprotective. They ordered the family's butler, Andreau, who has been the butler of the Valiere family for 15 years to keep an eye on the Young Lady at all times. She was not allowed to go out of the property so there was no way for her to go to school, instead her parents told Andreau to be Blanc's private teacher. Before Andreau became a butler he was a Huntsman, and a really good swordsman at that; this made him be a good teacher to teach Blanc. With her parents' permission, the butler also taught her how to fight with swords and seeing how Blanc had a natural talent and learned quite fast, Andreau decided that he will teach her how to dual-wield weapons.

In her spare time Blanc was always reading books, writing or drawing in the mansion's huge library. Sometimes she would hole up there and only leave when she had to go to sleep. She was fascinated by the stories that she read in the books and couldn't wait to go to Signal so she can explore the city as frankly she was quite bored to see the same walls day after day.

At the age of 11 she was finally able to leave the mansion for the first time (with Andreau keeping her company) and attending Signal Academy for 4 years. At first her parents didn't like the idea of letting their children go to a combat school but after seeing as how badly Blanc wanted to go they agreed but with one condition, and that condition being that Andreau had to be with her whenever she wasn't at home and they made the butler be Blanc's personal butler because of this. She found it hard to fit in as she was not only introverted, thanks to the lack of interaction with other people the same age as her for 11 years; she also had a butler following her at all times which scared off all the students who wanted to interact with her. She also developed a rather furious temper as she always got what she wanted, when she wanted it which, again, made her much harder to approach. She was also one of the first few students to discover her semblance and she almost burned off Andreau's eyebrow in the process.

After she graduated from Signal with quite good scores she got accepted into Beacon Academy and finally her parents came to the conclusion that she does no longer need Andreau to accompany her at all times. Because he is still her personal butler he still practically does everything for her like doing the laundry, making food for her, cleaning after her and the likes. They developed a friendlier bond that is along the lines of a father-daughter relationship as she spent a lot more time with Andreau than her actual father. Blanc is hoping to make friends at Beacon and explore the world of Remnant that she have read about.

Personality: A quiet and introverted girl, Blanc may seem lifeless, insensitive and unconcerned in comparison to other people. When she speaks her voice is rather quiet, almost like a whisper. She deeply cares about her friends but she is too shy to say it out loud. Blanc loves reading and writing as well as she appreciates fine art. She tends to get stressed out or angry over small things like people not arriving on time or if she is reading in silence and somebody starts shouting around her. She also has a rather... dark sense of humor which can freak some people out so she usually refrains from telling jokes she finds funny.
Underneath her calm exterior is an angry, rage filled girl who is ready to yell at or murder the first person who pisses her off.  She can get really angry really quickly if provoked or if the stress gets to her. She is also really sensitive when it comes to her chest size and she doesn't tolerate any jokes directly or indirectly implying that she has a flat chest. She doesn't like huge breasted people by default as it reminds her of what is nonexistent for her. "Stop it! I can't stand the way you wobble those melons in my face, Thunder Tits!"

Aura and Semblance: Aura Color: Light SkyBlue
Aura: Blanc possesses a much larger aura pool compared to average students as she is a melee fighter she took quite some physical beating in fights. It is also because of the self-harming nature of her semblance if she loses control of her flames.
Semblance: Flames of Rage - Blanc is able to ignite her weapon and the area around her in red and controllable or blue and uncontrolled. Her semblance purely relies on how angry she is, meaning that if she is calm she can't use her semblance at all. If she is just a bit annoyed she is able to ignite her two katanas and burning anything the flames touch. If she is angry, she engulfs a 4 meter square area in flames around her, 2 meters on all sides; which also burn anybody who it touches except for Blanc because while the flames aren't blue her semblance makes her be able to control their movement so that it doesn't touch her. The flames disappear after a 3 second delay and reappear when the same amount of time passes, this is because the flames are using up the oxygen around Blanc and she would faint from lack of oxygen getting into her lungs. She has a tendency to get really mad, in which case the flames swirling around her or the ones on her swords turn blue in color as they get even hotter, this also causes the flames that are around her to become uncontrollable, sometimes burning her in the process. The semblance can be activated and deactivated so even if she is mad as long as she doesn't activate the semblance then nothing is going to happen. Blanc is able to move while her semblance is active and the flames follow her wherever she goes; the flames always form a circle around her at all times but if she moves too fast the flames become weak and wont be a threat until she slows down or stops. There isn't any mental strain on her when her semblance is active; meaning that even if she loses focus the flames around her and on her weapon remain there.

Blanc can send the fire on her weapons flying in an arc in the direction of her attack but at the same time this extinguishes the fire of the sword that she used it on. This makes it so that she has two charges of fire-slash when she activates her semblance and then if she uses the left sword's flame for example then she has to wait until the flames around her disappear and reappear after a 3 second delay in order for her to have her left sword ignited again.

The flames temperature produced by Blanc's semblance are as follows:
When the flames are red the temperature of the flames around Blanc and on her weapons are around 800-1200įC. When her semblance produces blue flames the temperature can rise up to 2400įC

As mentioned above, she can only use her semblance when she is angry, this means that any form of tranquilizer, or anything that does the same thing is very useful against her, practically disabling the use of her semblance while the effect is in place.

Combat Behaviour: Blanc's movement and attack patterns as well as her positioning in fights depends on how angry she is. Her level of anger can be distinguished by how she acts in fights.

If Blanc is only using one of her swords and there are no signs of her semblance being active means that she is calm and collected. In this state she is really strategic and she is able to analyze the situation so that she can overcome her opponent with quick and well-directed attacks. She is quite quick and agile due to only using a one-handed sword and can reliably block or dodge attacks to defend herself though that is her only line of defense as she doesn't have any armor on her. She is especially vulnerable to ranged attacks as she doesn't have any reliable source of retaliation against a ranged opponent while her semblance is not active. She tends to stay behind the front line in team fights in this state so she can rely on her teammates for protection.

If Blanc starts to get angry she equips her other weapon and flames appear on them. In this state her attack patterns and movement doesn't change. She tends to be somewhat reckless in her positioning though as she might overextend and find herself at the front line without much protection. (Not counting her weapons.)

When Blanc is somewhat furious she tends to be foul-mouthed and now flames appear around her, this shows that her semblance is now practically fully activated. Now her attack pattern becomes a bit messy and reckless, sometimes leaving herself unprotected just to get a direct hit on her opponent. Her now fully activated semblance doesn't necessarily limit her movement but if she wants the fire around her to be a threat then she can't run as quick as the fire would lose its strength while she is running fast. In this state she is able to retaliate against ranged enemies as the fire around her provides some sort of protection and her fire-slash allows her to hit enemies that are in medium distance of her; she still struggles with long-ranged opponents. Her anger and the urge to bash some skulls in with her swords means that she will position herself at the front of a fight; farther from her teammates as her semblance can hurt them too and anyways, she wants to dish out some pain.

If the semblance's fire turns blue, that is when Blanc gets totally mad, though this only happened a few times since she found out about her semblance. (Warning, she tends to swear...) She will try to annihilate any hostile things that dare come near her. Her flames' temperature rises to almost twice their temperature, but she loses control over the fire around her; sometimes burning herself in the process. She will be so reckless to the point of not even caring about defense but going full-on offense in this state, just to deliver some serious pain on her opponents. Her movement is greatly reduced by the risk of being hurt so she only starts running when the flames disappear or she deactivates her semblance. Even though her behavior is reckless she will still stay in a formation if there is one but remaining on the front line and a bit farther away from her teammates.


WEAPON

Name: Skullcrusher and Armageddon

Primary Form: Two long, thin, slightly curved blades made of tungsten are held by a grip wrapped in expensive, light brown crocodile leather. The swords are around 110cm in length(around 43.3 inches) and weighting around 1.2kg each(2.6 lb)
A single, sharp edge makes these perfect weapons to block attacks and slice enemies to tiny, little pieces.
The blade has a wide, straight cross-guard, offering plenty of protection and adding just enough weight to make sure the blades sit firmly in Blanc's hands. A medium sized pommel is decorated with a huge sapphire which is shaped like the symbol of its owner, fine details which prove how carefully these weapons were crafted.
The blade itself is engraved on both weapons. A line of text is engraved on the blades: "Parva flamma saepe incendium magnum suscitat." This translates to "A small flame can often cause devastating conflagrations."

Storage Form: When Blanc isn't using her swords she keeps them in their scabbards, located on her waist. The scabbards are made from black stingray leather and have flame-like symbols engraved in them.

Dust Functions: N/A

History: She made her two swords in Signal Academy as its required for students to make their own weapons. She had no problem obtaining the expensive materials that allowed her to make this good looking and really effective weapon.


NPCs

Name: Andreau

Occupation: Blanc's personal Butler.

Appearance: Andreau is a 58 years old butler who has white hair and blue eyes. He wears a white shirt, white vest, black bowtie, black dress pants, and a black and blue coat. Due to his daily tasks and thanks to training with Blanc he is still muscular at his old age, and his back is perfectly straight. He is still quite good looking despite his age and he barely has any wrinkles.

History: Andreau was a Huntsman in his younger days but later retired and served as the Valiere family's butler for over 15 years. He later was made Blanc's personal butler by the Young Lady's parents.
