Alright. That was it. Maena had had enough of this condescending fucktard of an excuse of a police officer. After getting out after him and making sure nobody was looking, she swung her tonfa right at the back of the guy's head to knock him out cold. If anyone asked, some guy who dislikes authority probably did a hit-and-run on him while everyone else was busy.

That much done, she briefly took in the situation. The culprit was apparently running, Solar had just jumped up way too high and thrown someone - Suna, it seemed - towards the runner. Well, there was only one thing to do.

She took a deep breath - in, out - and took right off after the cloaked figure, her hair trailing behind. She was running on all cylinders and ready for anything.

Helena's smile dropped at about the same time as the fox stopped licking her. "Roger, Doctor. I'm heading towards our initial rendezvous point." She then looked at her newfound friend and asked "Think you can lead me to where I came from? Under the densest tree cover you can find."

Camelia took the reigns Calen handed her out of nowhere, albeit befuddled as to what she should do with them. She heard Calen's question, though. And chose to let Justice answer it, if he even did. Turns out, he didn't.

When a firearm's barrel poked out of the wall they'd been steadily approaching, Camelia's pace slowed to a crawl, moving forward with her hands open, palms facing forward, at shoulder height, reigns still held onto by her right thumb. And while she certainly appreciated Justice's apparent concern for her well-being, she wondered why exactly he'd put himself between the gun and the only person on the team that carried a shield. Sure, he was a third year and she was a first year, seniors and juniors etc. but it still felt weird and unexplained to her.

Nathan thought briefly before pitching his own two Lien in. "I'm with Justice; time is of the essence. We need to clear as many as possible from the woods before the train even comes close. I'd suggest splitting into teams of two to cover more ground while still having some group safety. As for rewriting them... not only am I no hacker, but just breaking through the encryption would probably take way more time than just breaking them until they stop working. Even more so if you consider that you need to catch them intact.

As for the sensory technology, substitute a Faunus' vastly superior senses, I guess? Maybe some IR vision? Dunno.

((This post was too late.))

Anna took the clams and knife alongside a small "Thanks." and just sorta... looked at one with her hand. She'd only seen the stuff in movies and comics and wasn't sure how it'd turn out. Though, as Calen said, crispy meat would probably be the best result. Instead of... whatever sort of goop people seemed to suck up. She was about to try open a shell when the cook asked a question. Her head turned a bit, acknowledging she'd heard him. "Well, for one, close to the fire isn't as quiet as up there. Secondly, although it's not as bad as with sight, intervening objects muffle and disperse the sound more, so being above most of them helps getting a clearer picture a bit. So to speak."

While Calen kept busy with the rest of the meal, Anna started on the shellfish. Mussels. Whatever was the appropriate name. She opened the first one and gave it a good, long stare with the hand holding the knife. It looked... weird, but definitely crunchy. The smell wasn't bad, either, since it was mostly spices. Internally shrugging, she stabbed the lump of meat with the knife and took a bite. It wasn't anything amazing, but it wasn't repulsive in any way, at least. Crunchy indeed. Plus, it was 1) warm 2) edible 3) food, so she wasn't about to skip this meal just yet.

Then the fish (and greens) arrived. Anna once again thanked the cook and partook. First, the greens. Surprisingly flavorful, actually. Maybe that's what wilderness does to stuff? Then came the fish's turn. Still hot, she operated in the same way as the shells: slice a good portion off, stab it and bite. Truth be told, the fish was great. She would've eaten it every week if she could. Which vaguely terrified her, as it would mean she'd become addicted to it if the chef had his usual supplies on hand.

Once she finished eating, she put down the plate - thoroughly cleaned - and waited for the others to finish before speaking, listening to the sounds around them both as leisure and to keep watch.

After being shoved into the car, Maena considered for several minutes whether or not she should cave the snotty brat's head in. "Fuming" was an understatement. Alas, she settled on not doing so, knowing fully that she'd be unlikely to reach the rest of her team in time to help otherwise.

When the fox started acting like a joyful puppy, Helena laughed out loud and kept petting it. Aah, she was glad. It'd been worth getting so tired over. The little guy was safe and apparently not too traumatized, Grimm had been dealt with with minimal damages and Helena got to pet (and get petted by) a fox. Truly, a great day.

A soft chime brought her attention to her scroll. Keeping up the petting with one hand, she picked it up with the other. Doctor Sophos was calling, huh? She accepted the call and brought the phone to her ear, having fun with the orange fluff on her lap all the while. "Hello - ahaha! - Doctor Sophos! What can I do for you?"

Nathan had been standing a bit behind the rest of his teammates, arms crossed and listening intently to the representative - as well as his colleagues when they asked questions.

From what he'd heard so far, what he'd - they'd - have to face off against was a group of robots, numbers unknown, fairly mobile by the looks of the glints coming from the forest as well as tailored to anti-Grimm operations. That probably involved some sort of coordination. Maybe lots of it, too, seeing as they were prototypes. Seeing as they were in the forest, they might be more belle than the usual Knights he'd seen here and there? Not that it precluded ranged units, but still, you're better off with CQC in mildly dense woods.

As Calen went off ahead on his own for a while, Camelia more or less just watched him go off before returning to her surveillance routine. With a horse, try as she might, he was outside her intervention range. All she could top was wish him a safe moment away.

Later, as Justice began to draw away, Camelia nearly started to try and catch up before realizing that he hadn't just sped up, but was merely putting distance between them. Why, though? First thing that came to mind was just to get away, but then he would've just sped up. It was sorta contradictory to the music he was playing as well. Oh, perhaps it was because of the music? Was he walking a bit ahead to put distance between the source of the sound and the rest of his team, in case of an attack?

Camelia concluded that it was entirely likely and, as a result, redoubled her efforts to keep watch for dangers, especially ones headed for Justice.

Nathan: Could blow up an entire Academy if using Dust. Otherwise, can pull an actual megaton punch. Both are a 1-shot thing that may leave him severely harmed or dead.

Camelia: Can freely control the local gravitational fields. Things can get thrown at supersonic speeds or implode into highly improbable configurations, as well as be torn asunder. Mind you, it still takes large amounts of concentration to pull things off.

Anna: She can see a lot more now. Almost everything within 10 kilometers. And it's mildly terrifying.

Brock: He can pause for a second and get back to full Aura, about a dozen times.

Helena: Can heal everything within seconds. Including death, if it's only been a minute or two.

Maena: She can carve stuff into mountains with the power she now has. Or, y'know, a random dude's face can be vaporized hundreds of times over.
