Leonius Decimi Regulus didn't have to have his eyes open under his visor, even for visual spectrum observation, and the visual spectrum was the least interesting thing about watching the slowly expanding sphere of blue-black energy, and the floating knife-like form floating within its translucent boundary, held within the containment rig he had constructed.

The results, from outside and inside the sphere, were everything the scientist-turned-fake-student could have asked for, but a quick check of his suit's chronometers told him how much time he had spent reaching this point.

Gaia, he transmitted over his headware, please get dressed and awaken Umbra. Inform her that I will be finishing my work here shortly, and will require displacement back to Beacon.

Your word and will, Dominus. I am already dressed, and will awaken the snake. Gaia seemed to pause a moment, before continuing. Was the experiment a success, then?

More than you can possibly imagine. Leonius chuckled, gesturing as he terminated the aura flow to the knife and used his Dominion Engine to move it to an open fabricator and letting its field effectors take over holding it aloft. Of course you know this, having been watching my experiments through the facility's sensors. Leonius crossed his arms, locking his visor onto the soon-to-be completed dagger.

Leo didn't have to see Gaia to know what look was plastered on her face. Apologies, Dominus. I was merely curious.

If I held issue with your observation, you would have felt it. Leonius transmitted the plans for the work he wanted done to the knife, watching as dozens of tiny arms began painting matter on the pommel and blade, creating monomolecular edges and gilded patterns as a pommel and crossguard took shape. As it stands, if you had not been observing I would have made you observe and copy the data from this test anyway. This is the final revision for this set of the Cerulean devices. Leo smiled, watching cartoonish bear patterns take shape on the knife, and brightly colored synthetic jewels move into position before the fabricator arms set and secured them with more painted gilding.

I shall begin production as soon as Umbra has delivered you to Beacon, Dominus. Leonius didn't turn to see the woman whose footsteps echoed through is workshop over the gentle hum of the fabricator. It was her voice, and not her network presence that continued Gaia's words. "Umbra is dressing and carrying out activation checklists on her equipment." The relatively tiny, dark skinned Pilorum woman took her place at Leo's side, as she ran a finger over the skin-tight, flexible collar around her neck. She adjusted the loose robe she tended to wear outside of more official operations, and looked up at her master. "Do you require anything else before departing, Dominus?" Her natural flesh and golden cybernetics met as she brought her hands together behind her back, and she took a deep breath.

Leonius saw much more than just the reflections and refractions of light. His suit's suite of sensors, and his less mundane means of detection, fed the titan and his neural coprocessors an endless stream of data from every direction. At least six forms of detection, therefore, told him that Gaia was not quite as dressed as she had suggested. "I suppose... I could do... with a bit of a... distraction... while Umbra prepares..." Leo's visor did not move from its observation as a case was brought together for the now-finished dagger, but his attention was on Gaia as he unfolded his arms, and one hand met the small of her back and slipped down past her her own clasped hands.

Even with the thickness of his armor, the tactile sensors were delicate enough that Leonius could feel the de facto leader of his Heralds shiver. "No matter what you require, Dominus, I live to happily endeavor to provide..." Her natural eye closed, and the observation elements of her cyberware told Leonius her cybernetic eye had ceased recording in emulation of the natural.

"Good," Leonius growled, "because I do not intend... to be gentle..." Leonius turned, picking Gaia up by the hips to bring her face up to the level of his helmet.

The longest companion Leonius had known in his life rested her forehead under his visor, and gave a soft chuckle. "You very rarely are..."




A soft thump from displaced air and the slightly louder thump of Leonius landing from a few inches up was the only sound marking Leo's return to his dorms with Umbra on his arm... until Soljia's squeal as she launched herself at her master and wrapped arms, legs, and two of her four tails around the other arm. "I had waitings with excitedness-muchness while the Dominus-greats was working! The Ianthe-stupids is doing the night-researches with lateness-beings in the library, but shall I awaken the Ayla-stupids if she is the asleeps, which I have doubtness-much?" Soljia tried to look around Leo's torso, locking eyes with Umbra, before looking back up at Leo. "And also did Dominus-greats with much niceness and lovingful providings pick up any sweets for Soljia, who is the most loyalty-servings and adorables-havings of Dominus-great's heralds?"

The snake faunus on Leo's other arm looked around at Soljia, then up at Leo. "... Dominuth," she lisped, "May I pleath thleep?" Her long, forked tongue remained outside her mouth for a moment, before she retracted it with a quiet slurp.

Leo could only sigh, unfastening and reaching into one of the pockets of his armor's cloak and pulling out a lien chit. "... Umbra... please buy Soljia some sweet buns... from the usual bakery..." He waited for Umbra's face to take on that usual disappointed look and she unwrapped her arms from around his before he spoke up, and put his hand on her head to rub it. "... And the rest is for... what ever snacks... you want... provided you also pick up something... for Gaia..."

Ayla's eyes were just opening when Umbra smiled, took Leo's lien chit, and bowed. "I live to therve, my Dominuth..." Soljia was clinging to Leo's arm, humming a happy little wordless tune when another soft pop signaled Umbra displacing out, leaving Leo with the two servi who were part of his Beacon team. One of whom who was staring wordlessly at her master.

Her very amused master, who raised his now-free arm at her. "... One opened up... if you want to do... what Soljia is doing... We both know... that I can hold you up... with one arm..." He chuckled, lowering his arm and gesturing with his free hand. Ayla's expression changed the moment the sensations in her cybernetic hands and feet registered the texture of her covers, Leo's seal on the finer tactile feedback of her limbs lifted at least for the moment. "I figured... you would prefer this... over any treats... but it's not too late... to have Umbra pick you up... something..."

She sat up slowly, eyes still fixed on her master. "You are in an almost frighteningly good mood, Master." Throwing off her covers and standing to bow to Leonius, and feel the floor under her toes, Ayla's eyes went to the armor around Leo's hips. "I... assume it's more than just..." She cleared her throat, her silver eyes giving no outward indication of shifting perspective as she looked to the side. "... Gaia... and all that..?"

Soljia's humming stopped as she looked at Ayla, ears perked up and a smug smirk on her adorable crushable little face. "Is the Ayla-stupids disappointed-sads she will not be having-rides with insides-being the Dominus-great's co-"

"ENOUGH." Soljia shut right up when Leo spoke, and with his free hand Leo pulled a small, ornate blue box out of his cloak's pocket before tossing it to Ayla. "... More for you... to touch and feel... but keep your animus... isolation net... active while in contact... with the dagger itself... Just to be safe..."

Ayla marveled at the texture of the box's gilding, a pure, joyous smile on her face. It was only slightly impacted when she opened it, and saw the cutesy, childish designs. "Wow... uh... not what I'd associate with something like... this..." Still, she reached a silver finger down, gently brushing it over the intricate metalwork and electrum bears.

"No... but its intended recipient... is likely to be more than pleased... with its design..." Leonius made his way to his throne, Soljia knowing by now to let go of his arm and hop off as he sat before climbing into her master's lap like a pet cat. "Meaning she will be keeping it with her... no doubt... when I disengage the animus input limiters... and allow her aura to flow into... the dagger..."

Ayla froze. "Waaaaait wait wait... so is this..?" She hurriedly closed the box, setting it on the corner of her bed.

"... Ooooooh crap-words with disappointings and worries-smalls..." Soljia looked up at her master as he crossed his arms, and both servi knew damn well he was grinning under that expressionless mask.

"Yes... That... is Cerulean-01... the first... of the new Crimson Dagger emulators..." Unfolding her arms, Leo scratched Soljia behind the ears before stroking the back of her hair. "... And I will be giving it... to Carmine Santiago... and allowing her to... inadvertently... activate the device... using thermal transmitters I integrated into... its containment housing... to ensure that she is able to keep it active... for a full eight hours... of real time..."

Ayla's headware crunched some numbers, based on the briefings Leonius had given his Heralds about the Aura Weapons. "Thirty-six hours inside the boundary..." Ayla looked up at her master. Malina and Carmine were classmates for most of the classes for the next day, but she tried to keep those concerns from her mind.

"More likely to be... twenty four... given Carmine Santiago's nature... but a good estimate... based on the information at hand..." Reaching under Soljia's chin to rub it, and following as she rolled over, Leo's visor locked on to Ayla. "And before you are concerned... I have a monitoring rig... on that emulator... if Carmine's use of it... grows violent... Or the animus fields risk blood toxicity... We will storm it... with AGIS support... under full animus isolation... and with non-lethal weaponry... to neutralize the threat..." Leonius smiled, running his hand down Soljia's body, to her belly. "... That Alapelagian girl... that you are fond of... will be fine..."

Squealing as Leo's giant armored fingers tickled her, Soljia rolled away, looking at Ayla. "Ha ha, Ayla's attractingsness with lesbians-being was caught by- She stopped as Leo started tickling her again, reaching inside her robe to do it.

"Shhh... Do not tease her..." Leo looked up, nodding. "Do not be concerned... the events come tomorrow... will merely be... entertaining for us..." Soljia grabbed his hand, futilely trying to push it away, but Leo kept his visor on Ayla. "... And it will be valuable practice... for our... classmates..."

Ayla nodded, and looked down at her hands. She wanted a distraction from her worries, and running her thumbs over the tips of her fingers, she found it. "... So how long do I have..." She looked up, and held her hands up. "You know... to feel?"

"Two days... Not counting sleep..." Ayla felt an enormous weight on her as Leo kept his gaze directed at her. "... Less... or perhaps more... if you decide... that you want to try to warn... any likely... participants..."

Ayla just nodded, looking back at her bed. "... Dominus..?" Her hand went to her stomach, and she sat down, looking back up at Leo. "... Do you think Umbra can pick me up some fried chicken?"

"I think... that can very much... be arranged... For such a well-behaved... Servus..."




Carmine's face lit up as she opened the ornate blue box, her eyes meeting the masterful gilding of the blue-ish hued knife. Cartoony bears in ivory and gold, with what looked like rose quartz blushes, danced across the cross-guard amidst a starry backdrop of (probably fake, but still beautiful) sapphires. Penguins in silver and onyx slid down a slide marked out in negative space by tiny garnets on the sheath. Cautiously, carefully, she reached out and took hold of the hilt to lift it, and unsheathed the knife. The blade shone in the light, and her smile was reflected in the flawless blue metal. It was perfect. Perfectly sized for her hand. The perfect weight. It was comfortable.

And most importantly, and the primary cause for the loud squeal that her teammates and neighbors no doubt could hear. "It's adorable!" She sheathed the dagger again, and hugged it before taking it, its box, and the note with it into her dorm and closed the door. She sat herself and the box down on her bed with another soft squeal, and left the dagger resting on her lap amidst the fuzz of her Ursa pajamas as she read the note again.

          Congratulations on your masterful completion of the recent combat evaluations. I hope you enjoy the dagger I have created for you to celebrate your victory.
      I tried to keep your love of cute things in mind. Please, feel free to show it off, it is my hope that it will motivate our classmates to be the best Huntsmen and
      Huntresses they can possibly be, because I hope to create more of these for our fellows.

She was grinning ear to ear as she put the knife back in its box. She was wrong about the robot-cyborg-guy. Yeah, he was a little creepy, the way he seemed to stare at people. That didn't matter! He was nice! He knew cute! He knew she liked cute!

Standing, and gathering her clothes to change after taking a shower, Carmine knew in her heart today would be the best day ever. She started toward the door, before pausing, and looking at the box. A single question occupied her mind as she grabbed it, whether it would be cuter hanging from her belt, or with the sheath kind of stuck in it between the belt and her skirt...




A disaster loomed over Beacon, and participants in one of Carmine's classes would soon learn first hand what the dagger is capable of...

Mention here, with a character link, if you'd like to participate. The event is open to Beacon students and faculty, or people who would have a good reason to be nearby when all adorable hell breaks loose.

Strange things will occur, and the laws of reality will be selectively suspended within the boundary. However, the things that transpire within the Boundary are not illusions, they are not hallucinations, and things that happen do not go away when the boundary clears and space/time return to normal.

It is not first come-first serve, and I will be selecting a few people who will be in the room when Cerulean-01 activates.

Some people outside of the immediate ground zero may also be dragged into the resulting disaster. These people will not be able to participate, being relatively helpless in the face of the Cutepocalypse due to the circumstances they find themselves in, but if you want a character to be mentioned as being inside the boundary when the disaster is going on, a secondary list is open.

"Please don't give me that shit about 'ow the scarrin' ain't so bad. It just... It fuckin' bothers me, 'kay? An' stop staring... I'm not super shy or anythin' but its weird..."
Standing a little over five and a half feet tall, Carmine's body is toned and athletic, with a curvy frame and ample breasts. She has a round butt, fairly squishy. She has long, unkempt, slightly curly onyx-colored hair, longer in the back then the sides, but appears uneven no matter how she fights with it with a hairbrush. Her dark olive skin has few natural marks, save the freckles on her nose, cheeks, and shoulders, and her muscle tone is often visible, particularly two lower abdominal muscles, and her thighs. A wide band of scar tissue crosses the bridge of her nose, across the skin surrounding her eyelids and right eye, and back to her ear. A solid band of scar encircles her right arm, a few inches above the elbow. Her face is dominated by her bright blue eyes. Her nose is small, pointed, and she has full lips and cheeks. Her chin is small. Due to the width of her hips, and slim, ripcord musculature, Carmine has a natural thigh gap. Her metabolism is such that she has difficulty putting on weight, or losing any.

"A girl's gotta dress cute! Even when you're crammin' an 'owling Beowolf up a big an' very disturbed lookin' Ursa's fat ass. ... Not that I've actually done that. ... But I want to. Just... Picture him. The Ursa. Lookin' all menacing, and then BAM. 'Is buddy is a butt bud- I'll stop. ... But picture it!"
Carmine has a very wide-brimmed white fedora with a blood-red band around it. A black chin-strap secured with a large crimson bead, usually just below her chin. She tends to wear large visor sunglasses, largely to obscure her scar on her face, but her scroll interface is fed into it through a jack on the right earpiece. She wears her hair loose. She has a white, sleeveless, thigh-length trench coat, worn open, with red buttons. The collar is usually up like she prefers after getting dressed, but gravity is a thing so she often has to fight with it. She wears a tight blood-red top with elbow-length sleeves to hide her scar. The top doesn't completely cover her stomach, leaving her midriff exposed, nor does it perfectly conform to her breasts thanks to her black sports bra under it. She has a blood red skirt hanging from her hips, pleated like a schoolgirl's skirt, and fastened in the front with a white bow fed through several eyelets, hanging to mid-thigh length. An indecent length, if she didn't wear black shorts under it. She has a black belt, wide, hanging lopsided around her hips, not particularly attached to the skirt or shots. Two holsters for Al-Maisan and Al-Nayyir hang from the belt, one on either side, with ammo pouches hanging behind those. Rarely seen are her black boyshorts-style panties. She has fingerless black gloves that stretch midway up her forearm, set with silver caps over the knuckles, matching the black socks mid-way up her calfs. She wears tall boots, with thick soles to mount the kinetic drivers she uses to skate about and defy gravity.

"A girl's gotta 'ave options, right?"
As both her colder weather gear, and a fancier alternative to her main gear, Carmine trades in her fedora for a blood red headband with a large bow in the back, and long tails hanging behind her. She doesn't wear her visor, but she tries to use her hair to cover the right side of her face out of self-consciousness about her scar. She still wears a trench coat very similar to the one in her main outfit, but this one has long, loose sleeves, and is worn closed, tied with a blood red belt. There is a blood red bow on the back of the belt, with dangling tails. She wears a longer, almost knee-length blood red skirt, and white pants down to her boots. Her underwear is unchanged.

"Bitch, I'm kawaii as fuck. The uniform's cute enough even on its own. I make this look amazin'."
There isn't much Carmine can do with the uniform without tempting the dress code, but she tries to get away with every step she can. Like the thicker ribbon and larger bow around her neck. Or the candy cane stripped socks she wears. or the thick ribbons and bows tied around her upper arms, about the same level her scar is at on the right arm to hide it. During days when she has to wear her uniform, she'll usually go with pink, frilly, super girly underwear, just to up the "cute" factor of that damnable uniform. Nobody knows it, and thanks to the combat skirt nobody sees it, but she does. And she knows it. And that's the important thing. Like in her secondary outfit, she tries to use her hair to hide the right side of her face. She also wears blood red glasses, with a thick frame, in uniform, since reading is more likely to be required, and she has trouble seeing clearly up close with her right eye. The left lens is fake.

"... Maybe someone will spike the punch, and everyone'll be too drunk to notice. That's good. Well. Good for the scars. Not for nobody noticing how good my dress is. I kinda want them to notice that."
It's hard to hide scars, while embracing the kind of cute clothes a formal occasion demands, but Carmine comforts herself by insisting her clothes are cute enough her scars don't matter. She wears her glasses in formal occasions, and ties her hair back with a big white bow. She wears a blood red button-down sleeveless blouse, with the top few buttons open. Depending how she moves, her black bra sometimes shows. A big red teardrop pendant hangs from a black cord around her neck, its lower end barely dipping into her cleavage

"Mraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw... Braaaai- I mean Cofffeeeeeeeeeeeee~..."
Carmine's love of cute clothes goes into overdrive when it's time for bed, and she changes into her Ursa-modeled kigurumi. A loose, zip-up one-piece black suit with plush spikes and a blush Ursa mask on the oversized hood. She goes barefoot, as the one-piece does not cover her feet, and she wears nothing else with it.

History
"'Appy birthday to me. 'Appy birthday to me. Some cocksucker capped me and 'e left me to bleed."
Carmine does not have any memories past waking up six years ago in the home of the man who'd become her adopted father, a former Huntsman from Vacuo who had settled in Shaula, the "capital" of the Musafiri Alliance, to get away from his old haunts. Weak, confused, and in considerable agony, she had no idea where she was, who she was, or what she was doing there. All that she has been able to piece together over the last six years was that she was found bleeding to death from numerous traumatic injuries, apparently intended to be part of a series of grisly killings of young girls that had been going on at the same time, and her savior had interrupted her murder and abandoned an uncaring date to at least make the last moments of a dying young girl comfortable. The old man had been pleasantly surprised when she woke up the next morning, and continued to wake up.

"When it boils down to it, I guess Aurelio Santiago's the closest thing I 'ave to a father. I mean, I'm only alive 'cause the Old Man went out to shag some chick, 'e took care of me, an' shipped me off t' Beacon. Seems awful fatherly 't me. ... That, and he legally adopted me, so it's not so much the closest thing I 'ave, so much as the actual thing, 'cept I'm pretty sure 'e never fucked my biological mom."
Not knowing who she was didn't start bothering the girl who'd become Carmine Santiago until she was well enough to walk. It started simply, not knowing what her savior could call her. Aurelio suggested Carmine, which he always thought was a pretty name, until she remembered her birth name. She never did, but being called Carmine became natural. It was piece by piece, like that, that Carmine built an identity for herself, and Aurelio started embracing her as a daughter.

"... I'd seen enough movies to know 'ow it was gonna go... The Old Man takes me in. 'E raises me. 'E trains me. An' 'is past comes t' bite 'im in the ass. 'E dies. I hold 'is corpse dramatically, an' scream to the heavens, an' passes on 'is last technique. ... Old Man's not dead yet, though, 'cause 'Unters are fuckin' tough, even old farts."
Carmine's adopted father also taught her to fight, at first out of idle curiosity on the part of the girl who narrowly avoided becomming a corpse. Simple stuff. How to shoot a gun. How to throw a punch. When Carmine turned out to be really good at it, the training started getting more intense. Since Shaula lacked any official combat schools not under control of people who Aurelio'd rather not trust his daughter to, he was her sole instructor as they started aiming her training toward Beacon, and paid for the materials to make her weapons out of his pocket. The most intense training, however, was when he made her work to pay him back, taking her out into the wilderness as his assistant, hunting dangerous Lacansian strains of Grimm that failed to migrate north to throw themselves against the Pilorum meat grinder. She loved every minute of it, despite the stress and danger. Going toe to toe against Jackboots under Aurelio's supervision. Watching Jekuoian monks punch holes in trees from a hundred yards away. Sitting in the peace and safety of a woodland enclave hidden from the Grimm by the souls of the forest. Tense nights dodging Pilorum patrols. Living like she had imagined a Hunter's life to be. Always new. Always exciting. It cemented her decision to go to Beacon.

"Well fuck yeah I was nervous. But I made it through... I 'ad someone put a bullet through my skull, an' that didn't kill me. This is easy."

"Strangers are just friends you 'aven't been introduced to yet! ... Or people you're going to 'ave to kill eventually 'fore they kill you. Let's 'ope it's the former! ... For your sake. I mean, mine too, but mostly yours. 'Cause you don't tend to survive getting shot in the 'ead twice, and I'll show any motherfucker who tries 'ow it feels the first time..."
Carmine is a bright, cheery, happy girl. Rather, a bright, cheery, happy girl who's worldview has been shifted by her first memories being waking up after being shot in the head. She's been surrounded by loving, supporting people who have given her a good view of humanity and faunus-kind... with the knowledge that someone out there shot an eleven(?) year old girl in the head. So while she's not the type to ""do unto others 'fore they do unto you" she keeps an eye on everyone she meets, until they become a friend, and sometimes even after. Paranoia isn't something that she shakes easily, and has taken to sleeping with Al-Maisan and Al-Nayyir under the excuse she's trying to stay used to having them nearby for sleeping out in the field.

"Be friendly. Be cheerful. Be outgoing. But 'ave a plan to kill absolutely anyone you might meet."
She's also not the type to keep to herself, surrendering to her paranoid fear that any particular random potential friend is destined to be the person to try their luck at being the second attempted murderer to fail to kill her. Life is boring without friends, killing Grimm is hard without allies, and the more people willing to cap someone trying to murder you, the more likely they're the one who ends up bleeding to death in a gutter instead of you. Carmine genuinely likes people, even beyond the utility of others, and part of her decision to become a Huntress is to protect those interesting bits of the world who can't protect themselves.

"'Eeeeeey! Y'know what'd be cute? Here, try this on. ... No? Ooookay, well if we do this with your- 'ey, where're you goin'!?"
Creating friction, however, is Carmine's desire to "make th' whole fuckin' world cute" one person or thing at a time. Cute is a rejection of the Grimm, in her eyes, and she will fight tooth and nail to secure it. She won't try to force others to embrace her ideals, but she will make every little suggestion and nudge she can for the sake of a world of adorableness, where Grimm can't exist without becoming friendly, adorable cuddly creatures under the intense pressure of the universe. They can still eat the people who shoot little kids, however. That, Carmine has decided, is an acceptable (if self-serving) break from the adorable.

"My goals are perfectly reasonable and attainable, and fuck you for suggesting otherwise. My ideals are fine, it's th' world that's fucked up an' not workin' right! "
Relentlessly optimistic, Carmine would like nothing more than if her goals were realistic and easily attainable. The fact that they aren't is no reason not to try. Every little victory is important. Every child who doesn't die in a gutter can go on to protect people. The people she protects can create new advances, and new ways to fight the Grimm, or improve life. Those improvements can make someone else happy. Carmine is anything but lacking in perspective, and believes strongly in the ability of the individual to, if not change the world themselves, set into motion events that will help others to do so. She has faith in the inherent goodness of humanity, a few child-shooting bastards and similar knob-ends aside.

"Eh? Cute? ... Well, y-yeah, I suppose I do dress cute... Umm... I'm sorry, I- I 'ave to go. Away. I 'ave things I need to do..."
Carmine tries to be cute. But she tries to be cute for herself, not to attract anyone. She insists she's not afraid of relationships, or sex, and she's not shy, but she's unable to look at couples kissing without turning into a blushing nervous wreck. Self-consciousness about her scars also plays a role, but she's just very uncomfortable with romantic or sensual matters in general.

"Gaaaaagh. Fuckin pill taste like an 'orse's butt or somethin'. But it's kinda important I take 'em... Yeah, even those even though I don't intend to do nothin'. It's for the 'ormone rebalancing, not the not gettin' knocked up bit. I 'ope that one doesn't come into play at least."
Under the happy, outgoing, and friendly Carmine is a deeply buried bundle of trauma, psychological problems, and neurochemistry issues. Her semblance complicates matters, both in her self-loathing for the implications of the expression of a person's soul draining energy from living beings and its direct effects on her sanity and stability.

Spoiler: The Truth • show
"... Who could do that to a child..? Wh... what kind of monster would I 'ave become if I grew up like that... Or if it got worse..? I think... I think I'm gonna be sick... Maybe... Maybe it would have been better if the shooter had finished the job..."
Some trace memories of the young Fayza Abd-al-Kafir are buried in Carmine's subconscious, and her paranoia and difficulty with intimacy isn't just her inherent shyness. Faced with what happened to The Girl Who Used To Be, either through undeniable evidence or memories of being Fayza resurfacing, Carmine's already shaky mental state is likely to deteriorate as old subconscious trauma becomes fresh and conscious again. Direct contact with a particular stimulus present during traumatic childhood incidents or her near-murder are likely to temporarily break her, sending Carmine, or Fayza, into a panic attack. Faced with the truth, Carmine is unlikely to commit suicide, but may strongly consider it.


Aura and Semblance
"Is it gettin' 'ot in here? ... Not anymore."
Carmine's ability to naturally recover her aura is stunted, partly by her semblance: Redirection. Carmine is reliant on outside sources of energy to regenerate her aura strength, slowly sapping energy from heat, light, electricity, and potentially even living beings. Aside from her ability to serve as a portable air conditioner, Carmine's passive energy leeching gives her a measure of protection from dust attacks, even ice dust, as she pulls the absolute potential out of the manifestation. She has little control over this aspect of her semblance, though she's found that as she absorbs energy it slowly starts absorbing faster. With additional training, she could potentially learn to amplify her energy absorption , but she focuses more on its active application.

"Here... CATCH!"
Through contact with an object, either direct contact or through the aura-conducting cables mounted in Al-Maisan and Al-Nayyir, Carmine can dump some of her absorbed energy into a target as kinetic force, letting her fling large, heavy objects with surprising force and velocity. Or small, light, objects. Or herself, using it to launch herself off of objects, change her trajectory mid-air, or bleed off momentum to soften her landings. However, she needs two points of reference, herself and an object, to create motion, with a longer distance between the two points increasing the accuracy of her redirection. As such, her landing strategy usually involves using her grapple reel on the ground so she has as much distance as possible between it and her to bleed off her momentum.

"Oh... oh no... no no no no no no..."
Absorbing too much energy is something Carmine very much wants to avoid, however, as her absorption increases as she builds energy. This is not only profoundly uncomfortable to her, as the cold air starts causing water to condense and her own body heat starts being cannibalized, her aura starts feeding back into her perceptions and thoughts. Megalomania, hatred, unfocused and undirected fury. Once she reaches over 150% aura saturation, Carmine will start to go berserk, and worse, the life energy of other living things will become a much more valid target for her energy drain. She has lost control once out in the field with Aurelio, and tries everything in her power to avoid doing so again.

"Fuck you, flu! Fuck you mosquitos!"
Carmine hates the implications of her semblance draining the life from living things, but viruses, bacteria, and biting insects are exceptions to that rule. Pests and diseases are especially favored targets for her ennervating touch and can die on contact even without her aura being overcharged by her semblance. She's rather offended by the saying that idiots don't catch colds.

Combat Behavior
"Can't hit what you can't touch. Can't touch what you can't see."
Carmine is a very mobile combatant, using surges of motion from her semblance and natural agility to keep moving, and smoke screens from her weapon to prevent a solid line of sight between herself and her opponent. She frequently changes the angle and speed of her approach to try to throw off predictions of where she is, but if she has to protect a squishier, more stationary ally her aura is resilient enough that she can afford to face tank a decent bit of damage.

"HA! Eat grenade you sonova-craaaaaaap, that's armored. Fuckin' armor! Fuckin' cheating bastards! Fine! FINE! I'll stop shooting you! Just... just gimme a minute... 'Anamana, doot doo~ doo-doo-doo, 'anamana, doot doo-doo-doo. 'Anamana, doot doo~ doo-doo-doo doo-doo-doo doot-doo-doo-doo-doo chargin' my attack... Hmm? Charging? Me? Noooooooo... Just, like... can I 'ave a minute or two? Time out? No? ... 'Kay."
Al-Maisan and Al-Nayyir pack a punch, but neither flechette nor microgrenade fire modes handle heavy armor well. Carmine dislikes using charge shots because it takes time, and Carmine is impatient in a fight, but faced with a heavily armored opponent she'll bite the bullet and slow down her offense for the sake of breaking the armor. Because a charge shot requires at least thirty seconds, she's usually reduced to dodging and kicks, since hitting an opponent with her guns' reinforced cases can disrupt the charging. The Grapple Reel still functions perfectly without impacting charging, ensuring she can still use redirection to throw objects albeit still at the cost of cannibalising her aura if she doesn't have enough energy built up.

"Sneaky-sneaky!"
Due to the very low amount of noise her flechette submachine gun and grapple reel make, Carmine is able to go into a situation stealthily, though the wide spread of her weapon makes long-distance sniping difficult without a lot of high velocity needles clattering against walls and floors rendering stealth pointless.

"Boot to the 'ead, na-na. Boot to the 'ead, na-na. Boot to the 'ead, na-na, just give 'em a boot to the 'ea- Hey! I saw you peek. It's cool, I mean, can't fault you for where your eyes go, and 'ave shorts on for that reason. But still. No. Bad."
While Carmine prefers to stay at mid range and pepper her opponents with ranged fire, her martial arts training is only slightly behind her ranged combat, using Al-Maisan and Al-Nayyir as blunt weapons to supplement her kick-heavy martial arts. She's particularly fond of landing a kick, then using her semblance to both drive her opponent into the ground and throw herself up and away, back into medium range.

"I'd say dodge this, just be be cool an' all, but I 'ave I say... that feels like it'd be bitchy seein' as I dropped a boulder on you specifically so you couldn't. ... Maybe you should 'ave dodged that. Too late now. Buh-bye now."
Being a heroic savior of the innocent and champion of all things cute doesn't necessarily mean being nice or honorable. When it comes time to strike, Carmine is an opportunist, flanking enemies being engaged by her side, laying traps to lure an enemy into, and generally being a nuisance. In single combat, Carmine will fight dirty, using microgrenades to lay down smoke to strike from and blind her opponents more directly by kicking sand and grit into their faces from afar before striking. In a team battle, she'll try to exploit the attacks of her comrades to create difficult-to-escape areas of mayhem, or divide and conquer to focus on picking an enemy group apart. She will try not to go for blows against opponents' genitals, or exploit injuries, however. She has standards, damn it.

"... I'd stop castin' that if I were you... every time you do that, my aura just keeps gettin' stronger, an' the same four words keep repeatin' themselves, goin' through my mind... Now put the fuckin' dust crystal down, or I start listenin', and see how far we can take this 'ole 'crush 'ead tiny bits' thing."
Carmine is a caster's natural predator. As the battle goes on, her semblance starts pulling more and more energy out of dust-based attacks, reducing damage and restoring strength to her aura at the same time. However, this carries with it the risk of going berserk.

"BURN!! MAIM!! KILL!!"
A berserk Carmine is faster, stronger, and harder to damage than she normally is while amplifying her energy drain to the point of being able to do serious harm to a person with her touch, but she has a lot of difficulty telling friend from foe as her out of control semblance drives her to seek to hurt and kill, through violence or energy drain, anything around her. She has only gone berserk once, so she is completely inexperienced at controling it, making it much more of a liability in a team situation than any potential advantage, as she risks turning on her allies to drain the life out of them with her hands around their necks.

"This one's Al-Maisan, this one's Al-Nayyiiiiiiiiior is this one Al-Maisan?"
The Shining One and Bright One are a pair of heavily reinforced automatic weapons with two separate ammunition feeds and mechanisms, the top-mounted flechette launcher and the bottom-mounted microgrenade launcher, with a central spool and firing mechanism for her grapple reels in the middle. The two are completely identical, and can work in either hand, differentiated only by the emblems and writing on the grips. The weapons are about three feet long, and have tonfa-like designs that make them easy to strike and block with.

Flechette Submachine Gun
"I always 'eard that 'aving a sharp wit is important in battle. ... I also thought a 'wit' was a kind of projectile for, like... a year. I'm only six, give me a fuckin' break!"
Virtually silent save the rapid click of the firing mechanism and the soft, high pitched whistle of the projectile, this mode rapidly fires thin needle-like projectiles to shred flesh and pierce bone. The hot needles don't glow, but have enough heat to vaporize water on contact, creating soft pops when piercing flesh as they flash-boil the water in a target's flesh to create painful bullet-like entry wounds without something like aura or armor to protect said flesh. A strong perpendicular gust of wind can easily blow them off course, though.

Microgrenade Submachine Gun
"Boooom! Hee hee hee... BOOOM! Hee hee hee he... Well, okay, it's more like a whole bunch of loud pops, but you get the idea..."
Significantly less silent, due to the increased force needed to fire the marble-sized round projectiles, Carmine's microgrenades are innacurate, shorter-ranged than the flechettes, but are highly configurable from a set of dials on the front of Al-Maisan and Al-Nayyir's grips, below the triggers. Switching between impact detonation or timed, and with variable settings for explosive detonation, smoke, corrosive mist, and tear or knockout gas, the microgrenades greatly expand Carmine's tactical options.

Charge Shot
"... Okay, now I guess THIS one's the boooom but it takes soooo goddamn long to charge! Screw it, I can wait! Both barrels for you, you bastard!"
The poor armor piercing capability of the main fire modes is something that bothered Carmine, seeing the large number of heavily armored Grimm varieties. Small modifications after making the weapons gave Al-Maisan and Al-Nayyir their charge shot, using both barrels and the capaciters used for the guns' kinetic firing mechanisms to build up a powerful, armor piercing explosive shot. It takes between thirty seconds to a minute to prepare a charge shot, during which time the firing modes of the gun are offline, and any hard impact to the body of the gun can dissipate the charge, forcing her to start over. The end result can be devestating, and little is stopping Carmine from charging one gun while using the other normally.

Grapple Reel
"Pfffft. 'Walk to class.' You're funny."
Capable of supporting three times Carmine's weight, the grapple reel consists of about three hundred feet of thin, very high strength aura-conducting wire wrapped around a high speed spool, a powerful launching mechanism for the end of the cable, and motors to re-wind the spool. An aura-triggered property of the cable's metamaterial sheath controls whether the tip connects or disconnects to something via eletromagnetic bonding, allowing Carmine a large amount of flexibility with it. Carmine keeps a weight at the end of the cable made of the same material for easy control, and a set of replacement weights in case her cable is severed, but it takes a few minutes to replace. It's also possible to over-wind the cable, despite safety mechanisms, meaning Carmine has to go in and naturally reset it to make it useful again. She's usually good about not doing that.

Club
"Oh. Hey. You dodged my grapple reel. I guess instead of beatin' a motherfucker with another motherfucker, I'll just 'ave to beat both motherfuckers with my guns. Because you won't hold still."
Because Al-Maisan and Al-Nayyir are so sturdy, and given their shape, they make very good implements for inflicting blunt force trauma without risking damage to their ability to be used as guns.

Appearance
"No, I'm not going to, like, tell you about my penis... I don't, like, talk about that... Like, ever."
Rose is a large woman. Not fat, though she eats a lot of junk food, but she's no dainty flower. At six feet, six inches tall, a weight that normally holds around a hundred and ninety pounds, Rose is curvy and squishy all over, particularly her large breasts and round butt, though she has a dense muscles under that squish. Her bright green eyes are usually glazed over with a desire for sleep, or whatever "profound" thoughts are running through her head. She keeps her strawberry blonde hair long, to the middle of her back, with shaggy bangs barely obscuring her eyes in front. Two somewhat oversized cat ears poke out of her hair, above her human ears. She has a small nose, slightly crooked from breaking it as a child in both of her personal timelines. Big Rose has a scar down her left cheek and her nose is crooked slightly to the left, while Lil Rose still has traces of childlike freckles over the bridge of her nose, which is crooked slightly to the right.

"It's always, like, a good time for a hoodie."
Both Roses tend to wear an oversized red hooded sweatshirt, edged with black lace around the sleeves, lower hem, and the large front pocket she keeps her hands and snacks in. Her symbol is on the chest, just above the pocket, in white for Big Rose and black for Lil Rose. Lil Rose usually wears a black knit beanie that hides her faunus ears, whereas Big Rose just puts her hood up if she bothers at all. It's hard to tell the younger Rose wears black short-shorts with the length of her hoodie, but her black and red stripped thigh-high socks are plainly visible. Big Rose favors baggy black jeans, with reinforced red patches over the knees. Her shoes in both ages appear to be regular tennis shoes, but have numerous structural enhancements, and she wears fingerless black gloves containing the detonators and control devices for Sacky Hak and Sacky Hak Amazing. Lil Rose has a blue crystal pendant she wears under the hoodie, a gift from Big Rose she's had since she was six.

"I hate this thing. I look, like, ridiculous an' stuff. Fuckin' uniforms.."
When forced to wear her uniform, Lil Rose wears a skirt a size larger than normal with her normal waist size, and retains her thigh-high socks, gloves, and hat.

"Sexy sleepware? Pffft. Like, who the fuck am I gonna, like, try to seduce an' stuff!?"
Lil Rose's sleepwear consists of, on the outside, a large oversized t-shirt, and loose shorts. Big Rose favors tank tops and long flannel pajama bottoms, and beowolf-modeled slippers.

"Yeah, I'm, like, not a dress girl. Like, at all."
If formal dress is required, Lil Rose will wear a white ruffled top that extends to her thighs, with a red sweater vest and black trousers. Big Rose just won't bother.

"Hey! Knock it off, you two! That's, like, not cool! So not cool! My peanuts! Not yours!"
Big Rose is always accompanied by two orange, monkey-like creatures with long muzzles and extremely long fluffy tails. Affuchse (singular affuchs) are creatures native to the Lacansia region. The affuchse, Nick and Dell, often hang around Big Rose, or sit on her shoulders, chittering to one another if they aren't off pulling some sort of mischief.

History
"You're, like, asking someone with a time travel semblance their history. That's, like, cute and stuff."
It began when veteran Huntsman and Huntress couple Bruno "the Barbarian" Stachelig and his Beacon Academy Sweetheart, Marguerite Moelleux, had a little "accident" in the back of Bruno's beat up truck while waiting for a particularly pesky Prime Nevermore to show up so Bruno could light the sky on fire with his rocket launchers. (Plural. Rose's daddy was a loud man, in personal behavior, and combat.) The broken condom was forgotten in light of not one, but two giant black birds darkening the sky, and amidst much cursing and chaos, the birds went down.

"... Never really got to know Dad. I know, that's, like, weird to hear a time traveler say, but... Like... I can't reach that far... It's, like... I can go anywhen except when, like... I really wanna go..."
Marguerite's period, or lack thereof, meant the two had to stop putting off their often discussed plans to get married, and Rose's parents were wed, her soon-to-be mother applied for a teaching position at Beacon Academy, and all was set to be well in the world. Despite complications arising from her gestation, including signs of tetragametic chimerism, Rohese Stachelig was born on Tulikuuma 8th, in the 62nd year of the Age of Color. Six weeks later, Bruno the Barbarian was fatally wounded in action, saying goodbye to his wife and infant daughter in a sterile hospital room before leaving Martuerite to raise Rose alone. Rose was still too young to remember when her mother's eyesight finally faded, leaving her completely blind.

"She just... knew. She saw m- Well. Not saw-saw, but her whole closed eye look thing... and she just, like, smiled. Said she, like, figured I was going to have a time semblance, and asked if, like, I was fine with pizza for my birthday. Because that's what Lil Me wanted, but it was... it was my birthday too..."
It was in early childhood that Big Rose and Lil Rose's histories diverged, due to Big Rose appearing just prior to her younger self's sixth birthday. And being invited to attend by Marguerite, who was remarkably unfazed by a twenty year old version of her daughter's aura signature popping up. Big Rose's history prior to emerging in the current timeline is lost to the mists of time, and she's uncharacteristically tight lipped about it. Big Rose was, however, a veteran Huntress who had "like, seen some shit" and was more than happy to pass on tricks to Lil Rose while she was growing up.

"... I don't wanna tell her... I don't wanna even, like, feel this way... But I still, like, blame Big Rose for Mom dying..."
At the age of twelve, Rose, both of her, had to deal with the death of her mother. A second time, for Big Rose. The details Big Rose is willing to share are usually sparse. A mission. An ambush. A badly battered Big Rose was the one to deliver the news to her younger self, during her time at Signal Academy. Since that point, Big Rose has made it a point to avoid her younger self. Something Lil Rose has been somewhat grateful for.

"... I know she hates me... I know she, like, blames me for Mom dying... I don't, like, really blame her... I kinda blame myself too... Y'know?"
Avoiding one another has become harder, with Lil Rose attending Beacon academy. At no point have Nick or Dell left Big Rose's side, however, making them at the very least eleven years old. The fact that affuchse rarely live past eight isn't something Rose brings up.

Personality
"Fuck off, I, like, have a prescription and stuff."
Rose isn't stupid per se, but she gives that impression a lot without meaning to. Due to the effects of her semblance, it's difficult to keep track of what exactly is going on "now" because of how "now" can change at any given moment. Lil Rose, whose semblance's development has outpaced her ability to cope, can come across as airheaded and forgetful. Big Rose is much better about it, and has learned to keep track of moments related to her current subjective present to at least fake linearity without seeming stupid. Both Roses, however, have the same speech patterns that don't help the impression of airheadedness, inserting the word "like" into almost every sentence they speak. Both Roses also use a variety of controlled, usually recreational, substances to manage the side effect of their semblance. And to round it out, Rose is prone to overthinking some things, and skipping important parts of how she got to certain conclusions.

"Go ahead. Call me, like, stupid and shit. I can, like, calculate when you were conceived and, like, cockblock your dad. Yeah. Think about that."
The result is that even if Big Rose can keep track of the entire train schedule for a city in her head, and Lil Rose has a vocabulary and breadth of knowledge that would put some academics to shame, she seems like she has no idea what's going on. Big Rose is fine with that, and uses that to her advantage. Lil Rose isn't, and sulks.

"Fuck off, I, like, have a prescription and stuff."
Another shared attribute is how they feel about their... addition. The Rose's thorn, as it were. Both Roses are terrified of intimacy and romance, and have an irrational, overriding fear that people will reject and bully her if they find out what's in her pants. Even Big Rose, who watched the world end, is paranoid about her keeping her biology a secret. It has made medical needs somewhat difficult to fulfil. Not to mention other needs because both Roses are still fully functioning both physically and psychologically. Loneliness is just something Big Rose has gotten used to, and something Lil Rose figures she'll have to accept as well.

"YOUR FACE-HOLE COLLATES PENIS, NAD-SNIFFER. I'M GOING TO DISLODGE YOUR PROSTATE WITH YOUR OWN DISCONTINUITIZED CHUTE-DAGGER YOU SCROTUM-LICKING CUNTPHOBIC ASS PIRATE!"
The Roses are, however, nothing if not creative. Particularly with the extended vitriolic rants that come about when particularly angry. Invariably laden with crude and offensive language, the volume and coherency of her strings of insults and threats tend to be indicators of just how angry she is.

"Shh, don't mind them. They're, like, harmless and stuff."
Big Rose rather likes her two familiars. Nick and Dell are noisy, cause a lot of trouble, and don't seem to help out in combat, but Big Rose's scolding of the creatures never reaches her rage point, and the two know how far is too far and keep things firmly on the safe side of the line. For Rose. It's a guilty pleasure for the veteran Huntress watching someone else be driven to their wits end by the two.

Aura and Semblance
"I wear to Cheeses I, like, meant to do that."
Rose is certainly able to take a hit. Her aura is strong, and rebuilds quickly with the kind of short breaks that being able to jump two weeks into the past for a few hours allows. Which opens the can of worms that is her semblance: Discontinuity.

"Owwwwiiiiiiie..."
Put simply, Discontinuity is a spacetime affecting semblance that allows Rose to move backwards and forwards in time, and change location relative to Remnant where it was or would be at her destination. It is impossible for Rose to change her when without altering her where, which is good, because space is hard to breathe. It is incredibly difficult to control, however, and has only one causality protection measure, called Paradox. Paradox occurs when Rose realizes she's in the past or future, and works to snap Rose back to her "proper" place in space and time. Through ignorance, accidental or not, or willpower Rose is able to resist Paradoxing out and snapping back to the present. Which is good, because Paradox is accompanied by a severe hit to her aura and intense migraines. Drugs help, both for avoiding Paradox and dealing with the headache, leading to Rose's habit.

"Ha, that girl looks, like, exactly like... me... Aww fu-"
For the most part, Lil Rose is only able to use Discontinuity on an unconscious level. Any attempt to willfully change when or where she is using her semblance will cause her to almost immediately paradox out.

Not so with Big Rose, whose mastery of her semblance has allowed her to forcibly reset her "present" to synch with her younger self, and can shrug off Paradox attempts even when face to face with a temporal offset of herself.

"... Mom... I think I, like, understand... You know, some of the things you tried to, like... teach me."
Marguerite Stachelig was a master of using aura outside the boundaries of her semblance. Small, blind, and late in life stricken with cancer, she was nonetheless an incredibly dangerous combatant due to the strength and flexibility of her soul-based techniques. Techniques she passed to her daughter, in both timelines. Rose is able to "pulse" her aura to "see" even with her eyes closed, or in dense smoke, and both augment the force of her blows by pulsing immediately on impact, or offset the force of a blow against her. It's not something she's mastered to Marguerite's level, but Big Rose is getting close.

Combat Behavior
"BOOM!"
Rose has a very physically active fighting style for the most part, if it comes down to direct combat.

"Yeah, don't, like, underestimate how hard I can hit."
Lil Rose is more direct, fighting with hand to hand combat, unarmed strikes with her hands, elbows, knees, and feet, reinforced and augmented by her aura arts when not using Hacky Sak to batter an enemy from mid range before detonating the Sak in their face. She's less skilled at pulsing her aura defensively, and will only rarely be able to disrupt the force of an enemy attack. While her offense is brutal, she hasn't quite gotten the hang of that whole getting out of the way thing, and relies more on just how much aura she has rather than nimbleness. Due to her inability to control her semblance, any use of temporal shenanigans in combat is purely accidental.

"I've, like, face-tanked a full barrage from twenty-eight Leonids. But please. I, like, insist and such. Fire that fuckin' rocket launcher. See what, like, happens and stuff."
Big Rose, however, has near total control of her semblance, and twenty years more experience than her younger self, and has survived engagements with opponents not yet known to the present who succeeded in ending the world. An incredibly agile aggressor, Big Rose's blows are able to shatter concrete, and can use that same force to negate or counter most ranged or melee physical impacts. She can use Sacky Hak Amazing to ruin an enemy's day at almost any time during the fight, or at almost any range, due to her rapid transitions from time and space. Assuming she doesn't just use her knowledge of train schedules to grab them, drop them in the subway, and vanish. She is also very skilled in using a spear, but rarely has cause to use one. Big Rose is an incredibly dangerous combatant, with very, very fews peers on the battlefield, even without unleashing Gebrochental's power. Because if there's anything more dangerous than a veteran Huntress, it's a veteran Huntress with a Mythic grade Aura Weapon.

"Okay... Kid gloves are, like, off and stuff. Gebrochental. SCHLAGEN SIE!"

Sacky Hak

Description
Sacky Hak, as a complete system, consists of flexible round grenades of variable hardness, a modified backpack to carry them, and the control devices in the palms and backs of Lil Rose's gloves. Each Sak (grenade) is highly explosive, but incredibly stable in the face of impact, heat, electricity, and other stresses, making accidental explosions a case of forgetting that a Sak was armed rather than lucky or skillful interception by gunfire or dust.

Strike Mode
The variable hardness of the grenades is useful when Lil Rose needs to reach out and touch someone violently. A good kick can send a grenade flying at a target, and a thought is all she needs to harden it so very little of that kinetic energy is wasted by the squishy grenade being squishy. That, and she can make it explode. I mean, they're grendades. It's the point.

Fun Mode
Unarmed Saks, however, do not explode until armed. And they're squishy, and fun to kick around and keep in the air.

Demolition Mode
There is a door in the way. Rose can continue when there is not a door in the way. Rose has a backpack full of explosives. This is not a difficult concept for Rose to apply to doors. Or walls.

Nap Mode
Rose's backpack is full of Saks. Saks which are squishy and soft. The backpack, therefore, makes a very nice pillow when Rose decides to take a nap.

Bra Stuff Mode
Rose is rather well endowed, in the boob category. (Moderately well in other categories as well, but those don't matter because it's never ever gonna get used with other people ever.) Sometimes, however, Rose has friends who aren't so lucky. Thankfully, Saks are squishy! Stuff 'em in a bra! Put on a sweater! Pretend to have decent boobs! Try not to think about how Rose could turn you into an unwitting suicide bomber!

Summary Mode
Truly, Sacky Hak would be the greatest of weapons if Sacky Hak Amazing wasn't a thing.

History
In a rather cyclical series of events, Lil Rose was inspired by Big Rose's Sacky Hak variant as a child, and during her time at Signal worked to try to replicate it. She succeeded, mostly, and while her Sacky Hak isn't identicial to Big Rose's when Big Rose was her age, the weapon remains functional.

Sacky Hak Amazing

Description
Sacky Hak Amazing resembles Sacky Hak, in that its a bunch of squishy things in a backpack, but the resemblance ends there. For one, Sacky Hak Amazing's Amazeballs (grenades) are a) not balls but rather cute "bean bag" animals, and b) do not have variable hardness. They do remain extremely stable, even in the face of their superior explosive potential, and the advanced technology inside the backpack enables Rose to create more than the backpack's volume worth of Amazeballs.

Nuke Mode
What Amazeballs lack in impact potential compared to Saks, they more than make up for in explosive force. The Amazeballs are also imbued with limited seeking ability, and small reactionless drivers that let them change trajectory. Small speakers also let the Amazeballs give off high pitched whines, cute squeals, somewhat unhinged giggles, or other sounds in flight. Or to announce that they're armed, and slowly count down to zero.

Cute Mode
Some explosives are menacing, utilitarian devices that beep ominously, or count down to zero in monotone, metallic voices. Amazeballs are adorable animal toys that giggle, and play, and act out bizzare sex acts to disturb onlookers. (What is that panda doing to that giraffe!? I don't think would be possible if they actually had spines!) Clearly, Amazeballs are the superior high explosive.

Demolition Mode
There is a door in the way. Oh look, the door is gone. As is a fair chunk of the building.

Nap Mode
Rose's backpack is full of Amazeballs. Amazeballs which are squishy and soft. The backpack, therefore, makes a very nice pillow when Rose decides to take a nap, assuming she doesn't accidentally lay her head on the fabbers inside the backpack.

Therapy Bait Mode
No, serious, what the fuck is that panda doing!?

Summary Mode
Truly, Sacky Hak Amazing is the greatest thing to come from the end of the world.

History
Big Rose's original timeline had things go bad. Very bad. Sixty percent of the planet dead and only a handful of Huntresses and Huntsmen to protect them. Thus ended the tradition of weapons being a personal thing, as what remained of the kingdoms poured every bit of force multiplication they could muster into their remaining defenders. Sacky Hak Amazing began life as Big Rose's original Sacky Hak, upgraded and augmented by the technology of what had been dubbed the Final Weapon project. As Big Rose had Sacky Hak Amazing with her when she reset her present and merged into the current timeline, it became a part of the world with her.

Sealed Form
Gebrochental appears to be a small knife or dagger, made of tarnished bronze or copper. Its handle is wrapped in simple green rope.

Released Form
Gebrochental is a spear, roughly eight feet long counting the broad, sharp head. Its entire body is made from what appears to be tarnished bronze or copper, but possesses unnatural hardness and ability to retain an edge. The edges of its head are able to slice through most natural materials, that is to say materials that obey the laws of physics, with little effort due to its preternatural sharpness.

Avatars
As a Mythic grade Aura Weapon, Gebrochental is able to manifest aura constructs to represent it as more than just a knife or spear. Unlike most Mythic grades, Gebrochental does not represent itself with a human avatar, but rather interacting with the world with two Affuchse. Nick and Dell.

History
Gebrochental's history is long, and substantial even after Big Rose found and bonded with it in Lacansia, but as far as the current timeline is concerned, this Gebrochental entered the world with Big Rose, enabling her merge into the past and her coexistance with Lil Rose. Logically, this means there is still another Gebrochental somewhere in Lacansia.

Personality
Due to Gebrochental's origins, having attained Aura Weapon status after being used to ritually kill the children of numerous Lacansian villages before the Grimm or Pilorum could get them, Gebrochental does not handle having to fight pre-pubescent children well, and will empathically argue with Big Rose if she's forced to deal with child soldiers.

I'm opening the forums for registration, and so people can get back onto RWBY: the RPG.

The archives will be opened for viewing once Gus is done setting them properly.

A lot of the guides aren't up yet. We'll work on that. After Dark also isn't up, (Pfft) so don't worry about that just yet. But everything should be functional.

But I'm taking it off of maintenance mode now. Go ahead and re-register.
