Carmine's going to be devastated by Cutepocalypse on its own. Having the blame as a factor is only going to make that worse, with rather long-term consequences.

Malina walks in on Carmine in the middle of throwing cute clothes away, or stuffing one of her teddy bears into a box, or other things before she breaks down and just starts crying. Wat do?

If there's counseling and support for the victims of the Cutepocalypse, will Tits show up? Will Malina avoid going? How about if Carmine asked her to go, mainly because Carmine doesn't feel safe going if people who blame her might be there?

High on the list are Affuchse, a kind of monkey-fox creature native to Lacansia. They have big ears, big eyes, glorious fluffy prehensile tails, and full coats to deal with the constant moisture of central Lacansia's rainforest and the nightly cold snaps. Carmine has very fond memories of watching a trupp of affuchse playing while she was out with Aurelio catching up on Huntress training to attend Beacon. She is not yet aware of Big Rose's familiars, Nick and Dell.

"They talk at you with their little chitters! They play an' 'ave fun! They're brightly colored, excited little children, and when you 'ave an 'ole trupp of 'em playin' over your head... it's just 'ard not to smile, y'know?"

Cats are always a contender, particularly a long-haired variety from Atlas bred to handle the cold.

You can never go wrong with bright colors and singing, so birds, particularly brightly colored songbirds, rank high on the list.
