Bobby saw the shield open up he quickly noticed that some parts had a harder time opening up than other. Some of the plates had scratch marks on them while others seemed to be newer than the others indicating that the kid had replaced some. He took the shield from the other boy and started inspecting it. You mentioned the parts that you used, I was just wondering how exactly you came across the parts for this shield? Did you get them from a junior academy or did you get them from somewhere else? Usually places like Signal and Sanctum have decent enough materials to build...

"C-can I help t-too?"

Bobby turned to the weird girl from before who had walked up to them while he was talking without him noticing. The first thing he noticed that she was slightly taller than him which immediately conjured up images of his grandmother mocking him for being shorter than a girl. He then noticed that he couldn't see her face at all as it was pointed down and not in a "I'm taller than you so I have to look down on you" kind of way but in a "I'm probably looking at something on the floor" kind of way. All he could see was a wall of brown hair covering her face.

He then turned to the other boy for an answer since it was his weapon they were discussing and he figured it would be rude if he were to give a stranger's weapon to someone without their approval.

Bobby looked at the boy's vambraces as the boy explained what was going on with them. He was impressed at what the kid had done with his shields although he was curious as to where his actual weapon(s) were. He didn't see it/them on his person so he assumed he left any offensive weaponry in his dorm room which was extremely risky. There was always the risk of running into the bored ogre that wanted nothing more than to bash your face in at the wrong place at the wrong time.

"I never seen shields that intricate before. The huntsmen and huntresses that travel around my small town usually have basic shields if they have any at all. Though I do sympathize with the lack of funds part. We aren't as well off as the main city and the only people we get from the outside is the occasional person form Vacuo which isn't exactly rolling in lien." He said before examining the vambraces on the kid's arms.

"Can you describe exactly how they are breaking down? Are they..." Bobby said before he noticed something weird from the corner of his eyes. A girl sitting on one of the chairs was moving around rather strangely. She ended up turning her entire body towards them and turning her face towards them. However he couldn't say that she was staring at them even though her face was facing towards them since her eyes seemed to be closed. Is she doing some sort of weird meditation thing

It seemed that his thoughtless proclamation reached the ears of the boy holding the books. At first things were a little awkward between them it looked like both of them were processing what had just happened. Bobby figured that the boy would just look at him like a weirdo and leave him be. After all how many people who just start up a conversation about books with a random....

"Really? I'm having a bit of trouble with them, actually. Don't suppose I could bother you for any insights you've got?"

Well that was a surprise. He spent a few moments processing what was going on as the boy approached him. He then stood up so he could be at eye-level with the stranger. "My dad's a blacksmith so he has all kinds of books on weaponry and metalwork." Bobby's dad practically had a little library on the stuff in his study back home. When he was tired of dealing his mother's domineering personality he would quietly go there when she wasn't looking and just read him. "I'm nowhere near as good as my dad but I'll try to see if I can help you."

As Bobby surfed the web he could hear the laughter of others playing some sort of game. He casually looked at what they were playing hoping that they would let him play but he realized that it was that ninja fighting game that was only for 2 players and they already had two players. He wasn't very good at that game so it wasn't worth it to create an awkward interaction by having to introduce himself to two boys engaged in virtual ninja warfare.

However as he was looking at the two boys virtual ninjas fighting to the death he noticed that one boy walking by him was carrying a few books with him. He could see that all of the books were about weaponry. His dad's background as a blacksmith and his training at Signal had given him a strong amount of interest and knowledge about weaponry for a student. As he glanced at the titles that the boy was carrying he saw something that caught his attention. "My dad has some of those books at home." Bobby inadvertently said out loud not realizing that other people might be able to hear him.

When Bobby first go the Beacon he never figured that life would ever get so boring. He didn't know if it was because he was not exhilarated  about reading essays on the lives of generals during the Great War or if it was because he wasn't a crazy lunatic that looked to challenge random people to fights. He figured that he could always make himself for attractive to hyper aggressive meatheads that would like to bash his face in but his past bad experiences with those types convinced him that it was a bad idea. He also hated those kinds of people on principle since they tended to bully those that were weaker than them when they get bored which he knew from personal experience could be a terrible ordeal for person being picked on back home. It was pretty much torture for Bobby when he was younger.

His grandmother however had a different opinion on the whole situation. She just figured that he was over reacting and needed to take the bull by the horns and confront the bully like his late grandfather would have done. Her scheme would have gotten him beaten into hamburger if his semblance hadn't activated. Her overbearing personality and her tendency to use his dead granddad as a measuring stick is usually why he avoided calling home. He loved his grandma very much but it can be a bit much to be compared to a supposed 7'0'' hulk of a man who was god's greatest gift to humanity. His grandfather had died before he was born so he didn't get an impression of him for himself and his father seemed content in letting his grandmother drone on and on instead of giving his two cents about the man that raised him.

So instead of going through a call of his grandmother dominating the conversation while his parents sit quietly or fighting some hyped up knucklehead who's shoe size was larger than his IQ he decided to chill in the library and surf the web on one of the computers until he found something that pique his interest. He knew he could probably walk around somewhere in the city of Vale but he wasn't that familiar with the city since he was raised in a small village.

I added a little something to the Personality section about education. If there's anything more I need to add let me know.

Know that aura shielding will lessen the effects of fire and lightening Dust. Other than that, +1.

I know about the aura thing but since people still use lightning & fire to attack people in RWBY I still figured I would use it. Thanks for the +1 though.

Is there anything else I should do or am I good?

Yeah that's what I meant, sorry about that. Describe how each Dust type augments his weapon.

Do I have to include gravity dust or just the elemental types of dust?

Sorry about the wait, sir or madam.

No worries  :)

Weapon: Add Dust Functions section detailing the effects of each Dust type.

I do have a Dust Functions section on my sheet already. As for what effect each type of dust has on the weapon it just encases the first in whatever type of energy the dust corresponds to (for example his fist will be engulfed in flame energy if fire dust is used). If you want me to add more to it let me know.

CHARACTER

Name: Bobby Beige

Age: 17

Species and Gender: Male Human

Symbol:

Spoiler: ShowHide

Occupation: Beacon First Year Student

Appearance:

He is a slim boy that stands at 5'10'' which makes him just tall enough to not be considered a midget according to his grandmother (his grandfather was close to 7'0'' at one time according to her and his father is 6'5''). His regular apparel consists of a black t-shirt, a pair of khakis, and a pair of sneakers. He has olive skin with brown hair and eyes. His parents frugal nature rubbed off on him and has made him into someone that doesn't like to spend a lot of money on things like clothes if he can avoid it. The only thing he spends money on are his gold colored bracers that he worked on at Signal.

History:

Bobby was born to Peter & Susan Beige in a small village in Vale near the Vacuo border. His father, Peter, was a blacksmith while Susan was a stay at home mom who would tend to the children (Bobby and his younger sister Melanie) along with her mother-in-law Patricia Beige. When Bobby was five years old they got a dalmatian named Spot.

Although he had a normal happy family life he still had a few difficulties in school when dealing with a certain older bully. He at first tried to ignore him but that didn't work as the boy would attack him physically. He then tried to run away and go home until his grandmother saw it and told him to go outside and confront the bully. He, reluctantly, went back outside and confronted the bully. It went as well as he expected with the stronger bully imposing himself on Bobby who didn't have enough of a reach to hit the bully. It wasn't until a few moments later when his arm miraculously stretched in order to hit the bully who freaked out and ran away after seeing the younger kid's arm stretch like a rubber band.

Bobby didn't know how to process what happened either until a huntress walking nearby explained to him and his grandmother what a semblance was and how it related to his aura. She then recommended that he should look into attending Signal Academy in order to try and become a huntsman. Bobby then told his parents about it who were fully committed to the idea of him becoming a huntsman since it would be much more lucrative than being a blacksmith. Bobby couldn't really argue with that since he saw the money and prestige that came with being a huntsman/huntress.

Once he attended Signal he found out that the road to being a huntsman was going to be as hard as he expected. He pretty much had to learn combat training from scratch since he didn't have enough time to learn that kind of stuff going to regular school and working at his dad's shop in his spare time. However he did have an advantage when it came to making and maintaining his weapon thanks to his father's background as a blacksmith making weapons for huntsmen. He made bracers that helped compensate his initial lack of combat experience. Fortunately he eventually became competent in hand to hand combat which so he wouldn't have to rely on his bracers too much. After that the only difficulties he had at Signal was having to deal with Melanie once she came to Signal during his third & fourth year at the academy because of her knack for annoying him. Fortunately that's over with, for now, as he's now going to Beacon Academy.

Personality:

Bobby tends to be laid back and not want too much trouble with anyone. He would rather spend time focusing on things he would like to do or chilling in his bedroom playing video games over wasting his energy having some sort of feud with someone. However if someone is overtly confrontational and can't be reasoned with he will have no hesitation ending things with violence. His experience with school bullies taught him that you can turn the other cheek so many times before its interpreted as a sign of weakness. When it comes to his education Bobby prefers more hands on topics (such as combat) over subjects that require a lot of reading (such as history) since the things he has to read have been mostly boring.

Aura and Semblance:

His aura is beige colored

He has the ability to stretch his limbs up to 10 feet making him able to attack people from a distance with his bracers. He can twist and contort his body in a variety of way to suit his needs on the battle field. However he can only contort his body for so long before he has to revert back to his original shape. Also if he tries to extend his limbs beyond the 10 feet limit or tries to twist his body too much he starts to feel pain.

Combat Behavior:

Bobby is the kind of person that just wants to end the fight as quickly as possible. He's not a fan of engaging his opponent with some kind of banter or playing with lesser opponents. He would rather limit the amount of damage his opponent can inflict on him so he doesn't have to waste too much time recovering.

His main strength is his punching/kicking power thanks to increased velocity of his fist as it extends towards his opponent. This can be particularly useful in dealing with larger and less mobile opponents who are able to deal with the blow that a normal punch can deal a person (not including when his bracers and infused with dust). Unfortunately he has a harder time against smaller and more agile opponents who are able to punish him after a missed punch or kick due to the time it takes for the extended limb to recoil back to normal time before he can attack again. It can basically open him up to a free hit from any opponent capable of taking advantage of an opening.

WEAPON

Name: Kraftknogar (Swedish for Power Knuckles)

Primary Form: Bracers

Dust Functions: When he puts dust into his weapon his fist becomes surrounded with energy from whatever element the dust corresponds to. If he has fire dust his fist will be consumed by flame energy which will caused the target to be burned if the hit is successful. If he has lightning dust his fist will be consumed with lightning energy and he will be able to stun his opponents for a few seconds. If his fist is consumed with ice or earth energy it will be fortified with ice/earth which will make his punches have more of an impact.

Secondary Form: Pistols

History: He built his weapon as a requirement for completing his training at Signal. He originally planned on building only the bracers but realized later on that he will probably need it to turn into some kind of gun in case he runs out of aura.

Greetings! Do you prefer to go by Hunter, or Green? HG, maybe?

I'm cool with any of the three.

The main thing I'd like to see expanded upon is the combat behaviour, what are his strengths and just as importantly what are some weaknesses with his skill set.

I expanded on the combat behavior portion.

If there's anything else that needs expanding on or editing let me know.
