New Topic is currently disabled in Non-Canon. Most child boards can't be accessed directly from the parent boards.

I made a thread in General Discussion, and it isn't listed on the board. I know it exists though, because I can link to it: example (http://rwby-rpg.rwbyfanon.com/index.php/topic,111.0.html). Also, I had to try a few times to reply here because it kept changing into a blank "New Topic" page.

You somehow managed to post your thread into a different dimension of General Discussion. As of right now, you'd probably be better posting a new thread and keeping that one there for Vox to look at.

Gus, I had a perfectly good feedback thread.

Somehow, it was posted to board ID 31, instead of Board ID 1. Looking into why it buggered up like that.

New Topic is currently disabled in Non-Canon. Most child boards can't be accessed directly from the parent boards.

On the subject of child boards, Gus buggered up the board dependencies when he made the board.

Unable to replicate the posting difficulty, but I didn't try until after I had reset permissions for that board.

Ok, I'll do that

edit: or not, it seems to be fixed

Ok, so just before this new board update dropped, we had a bunch of AMA and AMCA threads cluttering up the Non-Canon area (mine included, unfortunately), and I think we should have a designated space for those so that it doesn't happen again.

Also, editing/creating threads in the RPG Discussion is disabled.

I'd like to second this; the subtext even eludes to it being for role-playing only, but the wave of AMA-style posts buried any non-canon roleplay.

Copy pasted the name and description from the pre-Reboot board, but there's an AMA board now.

Truncate sidebar posts for the RPG side? Social has it implemented. Also neither portions posts are a part of the news drop down; intended?

Yeah, the RPG news got fucked up, and I forgot to fix it until Gus's huge fucking news post reminded me.

Still got issues with "Introductions, Birthdays, and Departures" subforum. I created a topic in there (from the RPG side), and it doesn't have (at least for me) the option to reply to it; it also says there's two other topics there, but I can only see my own. Not to mention the only post showing on the RWBYFanon side in that subforum is the test-post, mine doesn't even show up from that side (which may just be that it's not an aliased board now and there's actually a separate board on each side of the site for that stuff, or it may be part of the same issue I was talking about in the first place).

EDIT: And now it's just the test post on both versions of the board.

Sounds like another problem with aliasing on the RPG side.

That'll hopefully be fixed with General...

Somehow the thread below does not exist unless you follow the link to it in my signature...not sure how I managed to break things when making it...

That's because you didn't follow instructions, and made the post from the RPG side, when there's a big fucking sticky note telling you that's broken.

Speaking of your signature, there's a spoiler command, your signature is too big, and somehow these two things haven't been introduced to one another.

Fix that.

Call it more of me not paying attention to where I was when I hit New Topic, but hey, at least both of those are easy fixes. Done and done.

We've got another topic lost in the void: link (http://rwby-rpg.rwbyfanon.com/index.php/topic,626.0/topicseen.html).
And another one: link (http://rwby-rpg.rwbyfanon.com/index.php/topic,654.0/topicseen.html).

I have a suggestion! :D

I don't know if its just me who finds it troublesome but it is really annoying to refresh the site pages every time you want to view if someone posted something new. Is there a way where the site automatically updates the pages with the new posts or something so that people can stop smashing that reload page button? :P

I quite liked the idea of the AMA section however as there have been no posts for two months it seemed rather dead, so I was wondering if it would be okay to make start making threads there (or maybe in another section) where the thread was the question and any character could respond.

So for example: if the thread was "What do you do in your free time?" the replies would be how different character answered (either completely independent or in a more RP fashion where people would respond to each other)  letting us learn a bit more about our own and other characters on the site.

Thoughts?

Malus, as far as I'm aware, no. I could be wrong though.

Vision, I see no reason we can't do that, so feel free.

The forum boards no longer mark 'Yesterday' in bold, but rather the date of the previous day. NAB or unwanted behaviour?

Mods slow to see/react to character edit requests. I've been waiting half a week for any sign of life re: moving my character to Vale and Beacon Academy, and he hasn't been moved to the Edits subforum yet.
