"Fortune here. Talk to me." Beeeeeep.

"Argent, this is Marvin. I've been trying to get a hold of you for days now. You're well aware of the situation we're currently dealing with, and I'm going to need your cooperation. Contact me the first chance you get. And for the love of the gods, don't do anything stupid."

Argent Fortune was the CEO of Fortune Enterprise before the company merged with the Royale's. He's a major player in the organization and was one of the few people who knew about Whitaker's dealings along with Marvin himself. He's highly influential, and if anyone in the organization would pose a threat to the Royales, it would be him.

Fortune recently ceased communication with Marvin, relegating his duties to his secretary in his absence. We have, however, managed to track him down and sent his location to your scroll. Observe him and report anything strange or notable back to me. Avoid being found out and consider him a threat until we can determine whether he is the mole.

Stay safe, Akeldama.

Argent Fortune had chosen to stay in a 4-star hotel in the center of Vale under a fake name - 'Gradient Glow' - and had seldom left his room save for making the occasional trip to the store. After an exceedingly uneventful day, however, he stepped out from the hotel, cane in hand and sunglasses over his eyes. Fortune was around 30, and rather handsome, his cheekbones defined and his silver hair cut short. He knew how to dress, too - a bright white suit with matching pants, dress shoes, golden tie and metallic cuff links. He carried himself with confidence, every one of his motions seemingly made to look as impressive as it could be.

Humming to himself, he took out some earphones from his suit's pocket and placed them in his ears. From there he began to leisurely walk around town. The streets began to empty out as he did, and soon he found himself the only one walking the streets as late as it was.

Of course, just because nobody else could be seen, it didn't mean nobody was there.

EdgeyReyes:
Needless to say Akel thought that she wouldn't be chosen to further involve this investigation, her participation in the Underground fighting ring for that mission would of made her somewhat recognisable, Thankfully she didn't need to be seen to keep all the tabs she needed on her target. Her god-hearing and echolocation made every little movement that Argent took known to Akel. She hadn't needed to be within eyesight since that wasn't her main sense to rely on tracking.

Akel had a face to match, and a public presentation of Argent had given Akel the audio sample she had needed to edit her headset to allow his voice to be louder then the rest and easier to track.

"Gradient Glow, hmm." the bat thought to herself as she sipped on her drink, out of sight on a rooftop as she noted down anything of note while walking, her unnatural silent walking would make anyone think there was a ghost instead of a person if she was even seen. Akel had made sure to note down everything that Fortune did and noted it down in her scroll. "Too gaudy" Akel noted as she peaked over the ledge when Fortune wasn't looking, moving away from the ledge to hide herself from sight as she knew her own appearance stuck out even if she had the luxury of blending into a crowd, which these streets didn't provide. "It's gotten quiet."

Walter:
Argent continued his leisurely walk until he suddenly came to a stop. He seemed to check the scroll in his pocket, appearing to do no more than change the song playing in his earphones. He did, however, then speak aloud - Akel would likely hear him, too.

"Three of you. I doubt Marvin would have gone so overboard."

Akel would then also likely notice the other two. With the night as silent and the streets as empty as they were, it would have been hard not to. One of them, a slim figure dressed in a cloak, seemed to be trailing not too far behind Argent, clinging to the walls of the buildings above him, aura lighting up wherever they touched the walls with their fingers. The other figure, much more massive and openly carrying a massive battle-ax on their back, made their approach by jumping from rooftop to rooftop. At the pace they were going, they would reach Fortune in at most a minute.

And yet the man stood where he was. He started humming along to the tune in his ears, adjusting his earbuds and sunglasses to accommodate each other better as he twirled the cane in his hand. For someone who apparently believed he was about to face three attackers, he seemed rather relaxed.

The scroll in Akel's hands lit up with a message from Silica:

'What's the situation? We just got report that some of Argent's security forces just set out towards your location, ETA about 20 minutes or so.'

EdgeyReyes:
'Alright, so three opponents... wait, he thinks I'm one of them. I mean, he technically isn't wrong.' Akel monologued internally, messaging Silica on her scroll.

'Unfortunately, they are nearly here. It would also seem that Argent is aware that I am here, as well as the other two.'

Akel bit her lip as she was annoyed that she was found out, taking a moment to breath and listening, within a few moment she heard a distinctive sound of a camera focusing, her echolocation providing her a clear picture of what it actually was. She sighed, and put a thumbs up towards the camera without turning from her position, and sending a short message to Silica,

'I'll intercept them, if I don't then things could end up very messy.'

With her message ended she took her sword out of its magnetic sheath, turning on her aura and throwing her sword almost as if it were a spear at the one on the walls, mostly to land on the handle and use it as a platform to perform an enhanced aura axe kick to send her opponent to the pavement.

Walter:
Fortune adjusts the wire on his earphones to make sure it's neatly tucked behind his collar and out of the way. As he does this, both of the imminent attackers are just about upon him. Any moment now, they would begin their assault.

That is, before the poor sod clinging to the wall is harshly flung off the wall with force and slammed into the ground below with a yelp and a long, drawn-out groan. Argent looks over at the man and clicks his tongue.

"Perhaps I'm getting some reinforcements early. How nice." Argent commented as the other attacker landed on the other side of him, straight from the roof, two smaller but still thick and heavy axes in his hands. The man was massive, dressed in all white save for a white, gold and black vest over his chest. His hair was just as white and reached below his neck, two sizable horns sticking out at the top. He let out a hearty laugh.

"Come on now, Rapid! Taken by surprise so easily! You should always be ready for an attack!" the faunus called out to his ally, currently staggering back up and stretching out the small of his back.

"Ah, sod off, Ifu! Nobody said Fortune'd have backup!" the man grumbled and looked up at Akel, rolling his neck. He was about thirty, his frame wiry and his features sharp. His eyes were narrow, seemingly flickering golden pupils staring up at her. He was dressed more casually than his comrade, with urban camo cargo pants and a tank top, his hair cut down to a buzzcut.

'Rapid' flicked his hands to the sides, what appeared to be simple metal bracelets around his wrists sending out small, sharp blades caught by orbs of aura at his finger tips. "You take Fortune, I'll deal with the bat here!"

"We had a meeting about this, Rapid. Racial sensitivity!"

"...Girl with bat-like features."

"Better!" Ifu called out before charging at Fortune with a roar, the man swiftly sidestepping and taking a defensive stance, though not a perfect one. Rapid, meanwhile, continued  to stare up at Akel as if evaluating her and awaiting her next move.

It seemed the battle had begun.
