Title: The INKKredible room fiesta [INKK]
Post by: DEXES on September 07, 2018, 10:16:52 AM
It was silent in team INKKs dorm room, with the only, and probably most annoyingly sound being the slightly squeaky bed on which Kisha excited bobbed from side to side. This already went on for 10 minutes. At least she was quiet otherwise. Said 10 minutes ago, she couldn’t stop talking about how excited she was but now it was a rather depressing feeling that mingled with the rest of excitement.

Kisha liked Blair. Okay, she liked almost everyone she met, but Blair was someone special, and it was especially in the first few days after she left to return to her homeland, unfamiliar to not have her around anymore. But she couldn’t say she was devastated because of that. She liked her, yes, but they hadn’t even known each other for two months, nearly not enough time to form a strong, long-lasting bond. Plus, their different personalities often made it hard to have a real conversation. It just didn’t hit her as hard as it should have, but she couldn’t say the same about the rest of the team.

What looked like the first separation of this team seemed to be another blow to the gut for the other two members. Kisha was aware that both she and Blair were a replacement for the previous members, yet she never imagined how many different individuals had already been in this team.

The sad thing here is, that she found that out because the other students made fun of them. 'The team that should not be', that's what they called it. Kisha confronted the group, they then all, loud laughing, told her everything to the smallest detail. Every member this team ever had and how they all left. You could almost say that they have gotten a bad reputation because of that. And that was also the reason why Kisha acted a bit... weirder than usual. In a bad sense. Yes, she still talked a lot, yes, she still jumped around hyperactive and was enthusiastic about everything, but every time she tried to have a conversation with her teammates, the feeling of uneasiness came over her, and every time she had to ask herself, do Nathan and Ismael even want her here? Do they look at her and see a bad memory? Do they just tolerate her because they need four people on a team?

Kisha tried to hide these thoughts, but they came back again and again, even if it got better in the past few days, but they all came back at once with the announcement that their newest teammate is going to arrive. Today. She was excited to meet the newcomer, but she didn’t want to cause bad memories among the rest of the team. But she spoke anyway. She'd talked about it a few times in the last few days, but in contrast to then, she seemed a bit more relaxed now.

"So," she began, finally sitting still on the bed, "How do you think he will be like?" She asked. A question she didn't ask for the first time, but this time the hesitant tone in her voice disappeared. Yes, maybe it would be better again.

Ismael finally decided that installing a moving curtain would be nice as it could open up and move how they would need it to. This allowed for Ismael to set it up so it somewhat cut off a corner of the room so Kisha would be at some peace as she didn't see everyone else change. Ismael layed on his bed staring up at the ceiling as he began wondering, 'Man, wouldn't it be great to find a teammate would stick around for longer than a month. I'm starting to think a year is wishful thinking, maybe 2 months might be more reasonable. Well at least we're having a better run with Kisha'. As Ismael rolls his body over towards Nathan as he looks towards him and starts to think, 'Man, will we catch a break? Nathan is getting the shit end as he is being forced to being a leader to a team of misfits thrown together, with members joining and leaving constantly, and consistency is not a word known to this group'. Yet, he did understand the feelings Nathan has, they both walk a similar path and are both usually thinking the same thing and have rubbed off on each other, even to the point where sometimes they agree more often than they realise. Yet, they still differ on things, Ismael thinks Video games suck, but Nathan loves them. Well this is also the difference in skill, but that still doesn't change his opinion. Still, they met in such strange circumstances, Ismael was in a strange state, his uncle played along along and didn't bat an eye at him, people yelled, some shot, and still he found many friends, yet Nathan was the one to stay.

Marigold was there later, an amusing person who wasn't afraid to set him straight and was there for him, yet she eventually left. Fortune and Mauve were there, two amazing people, yet they even left. Yet, Nathan a completely average man was still here, and that always will put some awe into Ismael's mind as he thinks of where each person comes from. Even from his own upbringing, Nathan is the most normal, yet abnormal at the same time. It was, refreshing to Ismael anytime he thinks of the world, his situation, or even when he is in a bad mood, Nathan is just some normal guy and he goes through the same thing I do, the same situation I'm in, and he goes head on, I was raised in the wilderness, and born to be strong, what do I have to complain about? Ismael had a slight smile beneath his white mask. As he begins to shift his body towards the voice of Kisha, his black long sleeve straightens itself and his black pants do the same. His gloves are off and shows very intricate weaving of bandages on his hands and forearms, which begin to rub his defined legs which lie underneath black pajama pants. Which underneath lies more bandage wrappings all the way to the tips of his toes covering a good percentage of his body. As Ismael hears Kisha's question, he sighs as he runs his hair as he says, "Well a guess could be based on the track record, high and noble. We still haven't had one of those yet".

Ismael looks over to Nathan as he says, "Well, what do you think? Also five bucks he's shorter than Kisha".

Before Nathan could reply, there was a small knock on the door, before it opened.

What appeared to be a beautiful girl stood at the doorway, reading off of the sheet of paper in 'her' hands, while carrying a duffel bag filled with necessities and a few books, "This is INKK's room, right? I didn't end up somewhere else by accident?

'She' was dressed in a black t-shirt and denim shorts, a pair of sandals on 'her' feet, 'her' scales exposed and shimmering in the light. 'Her' heart-shaped face was scrunched up in confusion as she compared the room number with the one on the sheet of paper.

"I'm supposed to join, to replace Blair....Blair something, I don't remember her last name."

.....Well. This would probably be an awkward situation.

Nathan was sat at his computer - as usual, when inside the dorm room. Firstly, it was the most comfortable chair in here; secondly, he was pretty sure he'd doze off on the bed; finally, reading books about Dust integration in complex mechanisms was better done while sitting that laying down, due to volume I's sheer mass. So he read books on the CCTS instead. Ones with images, because he's funny like that.

Looking at the time, he closed the browser and opened one of the many, many folders littering his desktop, digging a abit before reaching the file on his new to-soon-be teammate. Mid-range guy, motsly, versatile if need be, resourceful, nice in general. A good addition, really. Would probably take up the back alongside Kisha. After briefly skimming through it one last time, he closed it and laid back in his chair. This would be, if he'd kept count right, his sixth team. The sixth one in a single year. This didn't faze him much: although the odds of such things happening were indeed somewhat low, they certainly weren't nil. In fact, it was extremely rare for a team to go unchanged for an entire year, let alone the entire curriculum. Why it happened, nobody knew exactly, but the majority of students somehow found themselves leaving.

He was pretty much as relaxed as he could be right now. Not that his face would tell that to anyone apart from Mauve, maybe Izzy. Its neutral state wasn't that neutral, apparently. But oh well, what'll you do, eh?

Before he started thinking about ways to upgrade Ergia or his Aura, Kisha spoke up, wondering aloud how Kin would be, to which Izzy replied quite quickly - followed up by asking Nathan the same question and affirming New Guy would be shorter than Kisha with very mild confidence. "You forget Fortuna really pushed the high and noble thing, though." This was all he had the time to say before the dorm's door opened.

...Okay, this was... Well, whatever. The guy was here, no point concerning yourself with appearances at this point in the game. "Yeah, this is INKK's dorm. Welcome to your new and humble abode, Kin my dude." Hopefully that'd prevent the other two members from thinking it was, in fact, somebody who'd received the wrong instructions or something.

Kisha looked up as the door of their dorm opened. This was the moment. Her new teammate would come in now. That was. That was... Surprising to see 'her'? She sat there for a second, thinking about the few pieces of information she got about Kin. The information said male. Then Kisha looked at the newcomer again...

Flat chest.

But apart from that, she could still tell him apart from a boy. Although this required a second look,  there were a few pettiness here and there that reveals his true gender. Maybe it was because of her way to think outside the box first and to see the things that remain hidden for others. After the somewhat questionable greeting from Kin, Kisha jumped out of her bed and walked up to him. Hey, she was taller! Not much, but she was taller!

Kisha first gave him a stern look and checked him over again, her face lit up "Awww, you're so cute!" she chuckled and pinched his cheeks, then turned to Nathan "Can we keep him?" She stayed in that position for a second, then it clicked. "Wait... you're in the team now!" She said loudly as she embraced him and pulled him to her chest. "Yees! your staying!"

It took another second before Kisha finally freed him from the embrace, but continued to hold him by the shoulders, her expression darkened "And woe you go" Then she let go of him and put on her dreamy and overjoyed smile again. "Now that that's settled, favorite color, weapon, and animal, now!"

Kin let out a soft 'eep!' as Kisha embraced him, mouthing at the other two to help him as she spoke. When she asked the question, however, he hesitantly answered.

"Um....My favorite color is gold, my weapon is a naginata that can shift into a bayoneted semi-automatic rifle and a nine-sectioned whip, and I like.....snakes. They're adorable danger noodles.......Please let me go...."

It was at times like this that Kin's extroverted personality had decided that even it had limits, and invading Kin's personal space was a big no-no.

Ismael began to wait for a response when then someone entered the room, a...gir-bo-he-she? Ismael became confused as whoever walked in, they ,ight or might not have been the new teammate they have been waiting on. Ismael looks at the person with a neutral expression, as he began to listen to the others react.

As Kisha neared the new person Ismael had a smile form on the corner of his mouth as his guess was correct, and in his mind he thinks, slowly this team is getting shorter and shorter.  But, another addition to the team, would always be needed when one disappears, and Ismael is staying optimistic with the current events.

Ismael stayed where he was and listened to everyone as they spoke, as Ismael didn't want to talk over others.

Nathan more or less sighed at Kisha's behaviour, a mild hint of a smile spreading across his face. How very Kisha of her. "Now, now, Kisha. Let the man acclimatize to his new environment a little, breathe in the air a bit."

After patiently waiting for Kisha to comply, his (somewhat invisible) smile still on his face, he turned to his newest... acquisition? Nah, that sounded wrong. "Feel free to take your stuff to the barren bed, Kin. Apart from... your answers to Kisha's questions, have anything else to present yourself by? We could take turns, even. Get to know each other better."

"Sure, I guess. Um......oh! I know! I work as a part-time clothing model down in Vale. I do both guy's and.....girl's clothing." He pouted a bit at the last one, muttering about his 'stupid trap looks' , dropping his duffel bag on the bed, and flopping down on it.

"What about you, er.....Kisha? Any cool things you wanna talk about? Like your weapon, or your favorite food?"

Truth be told, if none of them even mentioned pastries, Kin would have to introduce them to the glorious world of desserts. After all, he was gonna make sre he would be the team's permanent replacement.......or, if anyone wanted to come back, he could let them take his place.

He wasn't one to judge. They'd better make up for it, though.

Kisha gave Kin another grin and then let go of him. He would have to get used to it quickly because from that day on they shared the same room, and her hyperactivity will not diminish over time.

Just as she was back to her bed, Kin's question came. Such introductory rounds were a good idea to get to know each other better, but oh boy he made a mistake to ask her first. Excited, Kisha clapped her hands together in front of her.

"Uhh, where do I start? Maybe- No, or how about - not either, then rather- no... Okay, 087. The name is Kisha Miles, remember it well then from now on you won't get rid of me! Let me answer your questions with my questions Believe me or not but my favorite color is black and black is a color, no matter what you say. The one and truly greatest weapon here is Cocoa-" Kisha reached to her belt where the holster for her dagger was normally, but then remembered that she left her weapon in the locker "A dagger-sword-bow mix of which you can't avert your eyes. And answer numero three is a fox. Seriously, have you looked at these things? They are sooooo fluffy!"

She stopped for a second, "Oh- Ooohhhh! I almost forget!" More in a stumble than anything she reached over her bed to the bag that rested on the windowsill. Quickly the bag was open and Kisha rummaged through its contents, having about 3/4 of her arm in the bag. And the bag wasn't bigger than a pillow. "Ah-ha!" She pulled out a rectangular paper box and held it out to Kin "Exxxxxtra for you, I hope you like chocolate ~"

With these words she opened the lid of the box and a muffin was revealed, but it wasn't just some muffin. It had a small blue paper-body around it which covered up about half of it, but what was visible on the surface was more than enough to convince. Over the brown chocolate dough that made up the muffins framework, was a layer of melted caramel, this was then again garnished with white chocolate, this causing a gradient on the muffin.

On top of the muffin was a quill and next to it an inkwell made out of sugar. However, the naked eye could not see the strawberry syrup inside the chocolaty deity. "Don't enjoy it too much, otherwise the other two will be jealous." She leaned towards Kin a little closer and whispered "They only got chocolates."

Kisha fell back on the bed after she handed the box over to Kin "And there's nothing in the world that I wouldn't do for pistachios to answer your last question"

Ismael let out a slight cough as he tried to hold in a chuckle hearing the line of work that Kin does, and trying not to laugh as he sees the visible dismay of his new companion being nearly strangled by Kisha, as shifts his body to pay attention to what everyone else was doing. A box? most likely sweets for the new guy, Ismael likes sweets, yet he feels weird when eating them, they will start to taste bitter to him after a while. Yet a piece here and there never hurt anyone.

Ismael sighed as he realized laying down and wathing them would hurt his neck, so he began shifting himself up and staring forward continuing to listen in silence, allowing Kisha to use all her words and energy. Yet once she finished handing over the box and answering Kin's questions the last answer struck Ismael as strange, "Pistachios?".

As Ismael's eye's shifted over to Kin as he said through his blank mask, just revealing his two discolored eyes, "That reminds me, my name is Ismael, how ya doing?"

Kin gasped at the Muffin ((Screw referring to it as an ordinary muffin, that thing is a literal godsend. Kisha just won Kin over like that)) and hesitantly took the box, moving the quill so it was in the inkwell. He gave Kisha a bright smile, clearly thankful for the complex pastry she had gifted him.

When Ismael perked up, he turned and nodded in acknowledgement, "Hi, Ismael. Any animals or food you like?"

Yeah, it was already used, but maybe he would have an idea of what he'd be able to get everyone for Christmas. He mentally made a note to talk to Pyra later about premium pistachios.

Ismael tilted his head to the left as he said, "I don't really have a favorite food, or animal. However if you do want to know something about me, I'mma part time black smith, and every weapon I have, except for the gun, I have either helped make or made myself". He says this as his eyes begin to inspect Kin from head to toe as he tries to understand what exactly is Kins life. Muscles and the body can potray someones life more than people can let on, and with Kins clothing, it is easy to see muscles were not needed, more likely than not Kin could have been raised by fashion moguls, and became a model for them at a young age. It would make sense for the over all feminine look, but still, why would Kin want to be a hunter, he had a good life, did he drop it in inspiration to protect people, did he do it as a stunt to try and get his parents,if they are fashion moguls, more advertisment, or was it because he wanted to see how it was like.

'All questions have an answer in the end it seems', a strange yet familiar voice chirps in Ismael's head.
'Hu, is it that time already?' Responded Ismael in his head as he expecred loss of control, yet it was different this time, he realized he was speaking...with himself?
'Not today you need to focus, and also, get more cheese, I like cheese' the voice said as it trails off.

Ismael just rolls his shoulders as he lays back down.

In the most usual fashion, Nathan had almost completely erased his presence and was dutifully listening to his teammates. No, it wasn't entirely intentional. He was just a quiet type and a good listener, which apparently made him casually stealthy. Still, this was a good thing. People were getting to know each other without trying to embed themselves into the floor or anything, so seems like his idea was a good one. Yuss.

However, it took a few moments for Nathan's mind to realize Kin had asked him a question but his train of thought eventually lurched into another gear. "Oh, uh, I'm pretty flexible on likes. Most foodstuffs I'll like, unless the texture makes me gag. Which includes most fruits. On the animal end, I like pretty much everything; from cats to dogs as well as arachnids, cetaceans, slithering friends, etc. Even gastropods, though only looking, thank you."

Damn him and his concise nature. Pretty sure Kisha could've stretched that at least five times longer.

Kin smiled at Nathan's response, nodding, "Thanks, Nathan. I.....What should we do now? It's nice meeting you all, but I still have to unpack and stuff."

"Yes, pistachios," Kisha answered Ismael with a bright laugh "What did you think I'd say? Chocolate? Believe me, it's hard to love something listless when it's around you every day," She listened to the introductions of her teammates, but couldn't say that the information was anything new to her, after all, they already knew each other for a couple of months, enough time to know what they like and dislike. For her at least.

It shouldn't be a big surprise that she was the first to speak up at Kins question, "Well, unpacking doesn't take long, if necessary we have time for it later, I would say that we are doing something together now. However, there is not a lot of things we can do here, at least not without getting into trouuuuuu-. Oh wait, wait!" Kisha reached under her bed and pulled out her own suitcase, which she still didn't completely unpacked to this day. Clothes and anything important was of course already stowed in the room, but smaller items such as a small selection of comic books and various other odds and sods laid there scattered and messy around inside the suitcase. Including was a transparent box of poker cards. Only cards, no chips. She took out the box and laid it on the bed next to her, then stoved the case under her bed again.

"We can play Thirty-One, I hope you know how it works. It's really simple, or do you have a better idea?"
Title: Re: The INKKredible room fiesta [INKK]

Kin perked up at the sight of poker cards, his eyes gleaming at the mention of Thirty-One, "Thirty-One? It's been a while since I've played that game, I'd love to! Are we doing the basic version or one of the variants?"

He plopped down on one of the beds, opening his muffin box, and taking Kisha's muffin out, absentmindedly putting the quill in the inkwell and nibbling the muffin as to savor it.

What? Good food had to be eaten slowly. It had to be enjoyed to the fullest. He would fight anyone who said otherwise, he thought to himself as he held back a delighted moan at the flavor.

Ismael slowly leans back down hoping not to be noticed and maybe blend into his bed, yet the conversation of what everyone likes died quickly and it became game time, Well shit, what am I gonna do lay here and let everyone do shit as I look like a jack ass who wants to be left alone?

Ismael sits up in a sigh as they begin talking about playing...31? Ismael looks to Nathan with the look of 'What is this?' Underneath his mask Ismael understood he knew jack didly squat about anything that had to do with passing time as all he did was read and work out as his pass times. On occasion he would play games with Nathan, but would not know how to do anything and hide his bordem/lack of intrest with the prospect of him having homework, that he had to do, on a Saturday, during test weeks. Ismael wasn't the best of liars. Yet visable dismay came from Ismael's eyes as he realized he didn't know the game and didn't want to say anything to them.

Hel looked at Nathan and hardened his eyes as a sign of, 'I'll see you in Valhalla', and goes to the others and offers to join in.

At the mention of a card game he'd neither heard of or played before, Nathan's face became completely and utterly neutral. What the hell was thirty-one? Was it anything like twenty-one/blackjack? Why was Kin nibbling on a muffin like a rodent nibbles on a wad of cheese?

He turned to Izzy as, incidentally, the latter turned to Nathan and was met with an exceedingly familiar look - his own face was probably sporting a similar expression, right down to the mask's stillness. His teammate's eyes were a dead giveaway, though. As he appeared to... resign? himself to his fate, he moved towards the others. Nathan, on the other hand, didn't move from his chair (and also didn't move his chair), in true Nathan fashion.

Things were going swell.

With a determined "Hmpf" Kisha took the cards out of the small plastic box and began shuffling them, Hindu style.

"Where I come from, we call the game swimming, there's even a story to it, but it doesn't really have a happy ending. A ship goes down and only one person fits the last lifeboat, but four people want to be rescued, so you have to play a card game to decide who survives. You have three attempts, if you lose every time, you have to swim, that's why we called it swimming. But you don't die if you swim, you can still swim to the shore and survive, however, if you lose again you go under and drown." She explained to her teammates and put five stacks of three card each on the floor of the room. Then she threw one of the thousand pillows, which she had somehow packed into only one suitcase when she first arrived at Beacon, from her bed next to the stacks and threw herself on the pillow.

Before she started though, she looked up at the team leader "Don't you wanna play?" she asked confused, then the thought hit her "OOOOOOOoohhhh, you don't know how to play! Don't you worry, Nathy, I've got that under control, so," she took a deep breath "Everyone has three cards in their hand and there are three cards in the middle, the goal is to have the highest score at the end. You can earn points in two ways, either with the same symbol or the same number. When you choose to have the same symbol, the cards are counted by the numbers they represent. King, Jack, and Queen are worth 10 points, an Ace is 11. For the number part, you need three times the same number, two times don't. That then would always be 30 and a half points. With three aces you have 33 points and everyone loses a life. At a normal win, only the one with the lowest score loses a life. In order to increase your points, you must swap a card from your hand with one of those in the middle, or you can swap all three at once, but you can't swap two card in one round. If you don't want to swap you 'move', then it's the next one's turn. If you are convinced that your Hand is good enough to win, you 'knock', that means that everyone but you is once again in turn and then everyone has to show their card. If you have 31 points, that is, two 10's and one Ace, you must immediately reveal your cards and end the game, same with the 33 points. Simple, right? My dad taught me it when I was seven, so it's really easy. Well then, sit down," she finished, patting the floor next to her.

(HA HA! I SWEAR TO GOD IM NOT DEAD, IM JUST DYING BECAUSE OF SCHOOL!)

Ismael stares off into space as he listens to the story and he begins to invision the idea unfold. They hit an iceberg and begin to take on water, and they rush to the side of the boat to find only one raft is remaining. They all looked at each other and sigh as one brings over a table as everyone else grabs chairs.

Then they all sit down an play a little game. "........Hu?.

Ismael looks at Kisha with a blank stare as he is still stuck on why people would play a game while a boat is sinking.

Nathan scooted over a tiny bit when Kisha started handing out cards (with an extra set since he wasn't exactly playing at the time). The story bit was weird but okay; completely unrealistic but feasible bit of folklore. After all, as Kisha explained the rules, how in the goddamn world would people have the time to play that on a sinking boat of all things?

Nathan wasn't quite sure what Izzy was thinking, but it seemed to be somewhat along the same lines, judging by the blank stares aimed at Kin. Whose answer made Nathan think Implying they aren't currently.

Kisha raised her hands on head-height as she saw the looks the others gave her "Hey, I didn't make that up, that's what I got told when I learned the game!" (No seriously, that's the story) she said but then turned to the cards, not saying something about Kin's comment. People are stupid these days too, it's a disease that will never die out.

Just as she was about to hand everyone to a stack, she looked again at Nathan "Do you want to watch a round first?" she asked, tilting her head slightly. While waiting for an answer she pushed a stack to Kin and Ishmael, or rather she pushed stack to Kin and two stacks to Ismael. "The person next to the dealer gets two stacks. You can look into one of them, if you like the cards you keep them and the second stack comes in the middle. If you don't want the cards, put them away and take the second stack." she said.

"Well, I definitely want to play. I wanna see if I got rusty or not." Kin grinned at the prospect of a card game, his eyes gleaming mischievously as he plopped on the floor, "I totally bet I can beat you, Kisha~"

FUCK I'M SORRY FOR BEING AS DUMB AS A BOX OF ROCKS! I DIDN'T REALIZE I WAS BEING WAITED ON!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ismael grabs the cards and begins to think, "Hmmmmmmmmm", as in his mind he begins to think of the different combinations of numbers to make 31.

Yet all he can think of is the entire image of them all on a ship that is sinking, every card is life or death. Every moment there could be a watery grave as he stares at Nathan as he begins to blink and give off the feeling of, what are we doing again?

best box of rocks, to be honest

Nathan more or less just... stared? Stared at the playing field. Not only did he always suck at any given card game and usually needed to play through several goes to get the gist of the more complex ones like Charlemagne, he was still trying to make up his mind regarding the backstory.

Meeting Izzy's (sustained) gaze snapped him back to reality, if only to admire of slight despair the lad sometimes gave off when completely befuddled. Making sure only Izzy could see him, Nathan subtly mouthed (and attempted to facially express, but probably failed anyway as far as he was concerned) something along the lines of 'getting to know each other with a common activity or something i dunno'.

Kin eyed the deck of cards, thinking more simpler thoughts. Being busy with his modelling job, and his curriculum, he was eager to get some time off and play a card game with his new team. He hadn't bothered with thinking about the origins of 31, what he did wouldn't change the outcome anyways. As he ate his choc9late muffin, he started looking at ways to make 31 and win. He subtly wondered if there would be a prize for winning. Maybe another muffin. They tasted so good~.

Kisha shoved the two stacks over to Ismael and gave him an impatient look. "Well then, which one do you want to look in?" She asked, then took a look in her own cards. Damn, they were good! Seven of hearts, seven of diamonds and a Queen of Diamonds! "After Ismeal picked a stack, you can start Kin."

(Okay, since playing cards is a bit arduous in an RPG, I stole a card pack and laid it all out, it'll be chaotic, but that's how it is now, I'll edit this down here as soon as Chaos has chosen his stack. The current cards are:

Kisha: Seven of hearts, Seven of diamonds, Queen of Diamonds
Ismael: Ten of Spades, Seven of Spades, Nine of clubs
Kin: King of Hearts, King of Clubs, Ten of diamond

Middle: King of spades, eight of hearts, Nine of diamond

Chaos has the next post, but can't lay a card yet, just pick the stack. Then it's Kin's turn, then Kisha. So that we don't exclude Nate we now have a conversation. I guess. Idk. What am I even doing here? )

"So," Kisha began as she looked at her cards, "How about we make it a little more.... interesting? Whoever wins may ask the loser a question or a task, you know, like truth or dare, or something like this."

Ismael looks through his cards and keeps his stack and sets the other in the center as Nathan reminds him what he was doing as a shine of remembrance in his eyes appear as he continues.

Ismael listens to Kisha's proposition and Ismael realizes what could be asked and understands what anyone would asked and his eyes became that like ice as he is now determined to win.

No one must know.

Kin nodded at Kisha's words, grinning as he glanced at his own cards. Two Kings and a ten? He could work with this.

(That's a really neat way to do it, DEX, kudos to you)

Nathan was actually kinda enjoying this. Observing the game, that is. It also allowed him to glean some tidbits of info from the players' actions, reactions and expressions. Though, to be honest, Kisha's proposition/decision did crank up the fun factor a fair bit. The change that overcame Izzy's posture (facial featuers being obscured, minus the eyes) didn't leave much to Nathan's imagination and he almost burst out laughing at the sight.

Mentally, that is. In the real world, a subtle smile barely flashed across his face.

(thanks)

"Hhmmmmmm" Kisha looked from the cards on the hand to those in the middle. A seven would have been nice. She looked back at the cards in her hand and then slid the Seven of hearts to the cards in the middle and exchanged it with the Nine of diamonds. In her hand were now 26 points, not a bad number but nothing to secure s victory. After making her move, she looked at Ismael. Let's see what the others had in store.

(Current Cards:

(Kisha: Nine of diamonds, Seven of diamonds, Queen of Diamonds
Ismael: Ten of Spades, Seven of Spades, Nine of clubs
Kin: King of Hearts, King of Clubs, Ten of diamonds

Middle: King of spades, eight of hearts, Seven of hearts

The bolded ones are the ones that got switched)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ismael looks at each of the cards in hand and tries to remember the rule, decides thats too hard, and then places his seven into the center and takes the card next to Kisha's which is: 8...really? That's no where near enough to make 31, but eh, good enough for now

As soon as Ismael put his seven of hearts down, Kin reached other and grabbed the card of the left, swapping it with his ten of diamonds.

What?! A king of spades?! Oh, he was golden now!

Kisha watched her teammates moves with narrowed eyes. She had 26 points in her hand. Good but not good enough. Her gaze turned from the cards in the middle to the ones in her hand and back again until she finally switched her Seven of Diamonds for the Ten of Diamonds. 29 points were definitely better, but was that good enough to win?

(Current Cards:

(Kisha: Nine of diamonds, Ten of diamonds, Queen of Diamonds
Ismael: Ten of Spades, Eight of hearts, Nine of clubs
Kin: King of Hearts, King of Clubs, King of spades

Middle: Seven of hearts, Seven of Spades, Seven of diamonds)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ismael looks at his hand and shrugs at the idea as he has nothing special, and everyone grabbed the cards from the center, so they'll all be rejects of the three of them. So he looks towards each person and knocks on the floor and passes his turn, hoping he some how got some crazy luck of the draw from some strange rule, or he is boned.

Kin followed Ismael's example, knocking on the floor as he kept his cards close to him. He was fine with his hand. He could take his chances.

Shifty eyes were decidedly in season these days. Nathan crossed his arms and leaned back into his chair a bit, contentedly observing the deployment of the game.

Kisha looked at her cards one last time and then turned them around so everyone could see them. Ismael had knocked, Kin followed this example and since Kisha couldn't do anything to improve her hand, the game was over. She looked at the cards of the others. She had 29 points, Ismael had 10 and Kin had 30 1/2.
"Hey, congrats, looks like you won." she said, nudging Kin amicably, "Well then, you can ask us a question and we'll have to answer it honestly. Come on, ask away"

Ismael looks at everyone's hands and realizes that he is far from the top as even in points he lost and no real rule could save him at this rate.

So he set his cards down and ruffled his own hair as he sighed and fell backwards onto the ground and made a loud thud as he sighed and said, "I guess you win"
Title: Re: The INKKredible room fiesta [INKK]

"Wait, I won? Hey, I actually won!" He beamed, sparkles seeming to shimmer from him as he beamed happily.

And then the sparkles faded as his grin grew devious, "So this means you own me a favor now, right?~" He crooned, a sinister giggle bubbling up from his throat.

Well, somebody won. Probably. Come to think of it, not playing not only served the purpose of, well, not playing, but also allowed him to exclude himself from any possible winner position. He already had most data he could want just from being leader and besides, he was better at answering questions than asking them.

After Kin spoke in a... mildly worrying manner, Nathan interjected, "No, Kin, we owe you an answer, not a favour.", although his tone wasn't entirely serious to the trained ear.

Kin wilted at this, pouting, "Aaaaaaww. That's not nearly as fun as what I had in mind." He replied, "Hmmmm...I'll need some time to think of a good question."

"Well, we have more than enough of that, right guys?" Kisha asked the group. After all, it was not like they had any obligations today, so time shouldn't be a big deal. As she waited, more or less, for an answer, she started to scoop the cards together and place them in a stack. The game was nice and fun, but she wasn't sure if her teammates enjoyed it as much as she did.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ismael sighs again as he begins to think of what they could do. Another game of cards is always an option, but it could get boring, videogames is also an option, but that can also lead to the same situation they are in right now.

Ismael thinks for a moment and decides one way to solve this is a good old fashion game of Bunkers and Badasses. But he forgot many of the rules so he'll brush up for another time. "Hmmmm, how about truth or dare? I've seen people have loads of fun doing that".

ToD, hmmm? Yeah, that could work. Short and straight-to-the-point, universal, had the merit of allowing others to choose whether or not to respond. "Sure, I'm up for Truth or Dare. Not gonna be asking questions, though."

Oh for fucking crying out loud, Izzy. You just had to, didn't you.

Nathan turned towards Ismael and locked eyes with him. His stare was as flat and emotionless as his face as he did so and, after a second or two, he answered with a simple, utterly neutral "No." No sign showed of what he thought - no visible pulse, no heightened breathing, no flushed anything, no unsteady eye movement. A rock with a face would've been remarkably similar.

Ismael hops up and yells out "Closure!!" as he runs around and finishes with a celebratory soccer slide.

He then retakes his position and coughs slightly as he then says, "Alright. I'm done". As he waits for Nathan's truth or dare. He wants to see what he puts on the others.
