WiP Characters / Yori Dango[WIP]

CHARACTER

Name: Yori Dango , also known as “The Great Mountain Yora”, “Dango Man” or “Tsunami Yora”

Age: 23

Species and Gender: Male Binturong(Bearcat) Faunus

Symbol: Three hearts pierced with a stick

Occupation: Mercenary, Hunter, Chef

Appearance: Yori is big and robust, a large frame of 184cm of wide shoulders, muscle and fat. With a big hard round belly, this man with a mighty mane of black hair weighs a hefty 148 kilos from both fat and muscle. With small beady eyes like the shells of black beetles, and a rather crooked smile, this jolly man may not be the prettiest in looks, but certainly is a jolly bowl of jelly the color of a tanned man. His faunus trait is the large black tail that is about as long as his body, thick and muscular with a leather pad at the tip.

Wearing robes that have three different colors, pink for his left side, blue for his right and yellow for whatever is in between. Sewn into his robes are beautiful patterns which easily represent his origins as a Menagerie citizen. Around his waist is a belt with pockets. Equipped with black baggy pants and wearing white socks and black shoes, it is obvious this guy is a monk. Around his wrist is a bane of beads and he wears golden earrings on his left ear in a group of three. Attached to his belt is a gourd and a pipe shaped like a dango along with a pouch of herbs.

History: Sample Text

Personality: Yori is as big as his heart, a golden heart in fact. The man’s hefty weight matches his earth shaking laugh of joy. Yori is a man who can laugh in the most darkest of times, for he enjoys every bit of his life. No curse to him is a curse, no blessing to him is a blessing. He understands the power of gratitude and though he may forget it, he is a gracious and humble man. This titan’s mighty strength is equal to his love and kindness, always willing to reach out to help others. Though some may view him as soft and not someone you can call a mercenary, Yori is not a man to threaten. His mighty laugh can be laced with a monstrous intent to kill.

Despite calling himself a monk, Yori shows very few display of a monk. One is his obsessive eating for dangos. His love for these rice dumplings on a stick spreads far and wide, and is more than willing to lend you his aid in exchange for a good supply of good quality dangos. Another not so monk like behaviour is his smoking tendencies. Filling that pipe with a mix of special herbs, burning them creates an effect similar to anaesthetic, relieving the body of pain for a limited time. The odd side effect is that it smells like popcorn when burnt.

This big man happens to be a softie for children. Allowing them to have fun around him, use his pot belly as a climbable area or give them a makeshift swing with his tail. This jolly giant can be surprisingly gentle, and a massive force of a crashing tsunami if children are threatened.

Aura and Semblance: His aura is either Pink, Blue or Yellow at random times.
His semblance as he calls it is “Within”.
“Within” is simple in concept, when activated, it enters a passive state where his aura is strengthened around his body, too insignificant to actually be noticed, and wherever he channels the aura too. That is however not the power of “Within”. When Yori begins to move while “Within” is active, when a significant amount of force is put into something like a swing of his weapon or a punch, “Within” allows that force to travel a much greater distance with little falloff, hence turning his melee attacks into large long range sweeps.

Combat Behavior: Yori is given his title “Great Mountain” because of his fearsome large size and “Tsunami” for his incredible force of power that this man is not hesitant to use when you threaten a fight with this giant.
A large, big melee fighter, he is what you expect from a man of his size and stature. However do not underestimate his surprisingly mobility. He may not be as agile or fast as the typical fast and agile ones, but he certainly is for his size. Great leg strength, amazing sense of balance and his know how on using his bulky body, he rolls, flips and dances easily around, before he jumps in to deal quite the heavy strike.
Yori utilities every part of his body, elbow, knee head you name it. He aims for grapples and will give you a taste of his belly gongs and butt slams. He remains a jolly man in his fights, unless he gets really serious about it. He is a strong wall with a mighty force.
However his large size makes him an easy target for gunshots and large attacks, both an advantage and a disadvantage. Yori will help you take that damage, but it makes him an easy prime target. He also can not fit into tight spaces so hiding him is not easy. He is best as a frontline force.

WEAPON

Name: Hana Hua

Primary Form: A large monk’s spade, with a length of 2 meters when not counting it the blades. The shovel blade adds a good 30cm while the crescent blade from the tip adds a 30cm as well. There is a switch close to the shovel blade.

Secondary Form: Yori flicks the switch and inner mechanisms flip the crescent blade as semi circular protrusions appear, giving the overall look of a huge 2D dango. The holes are wide enough for almost any bladed weapon to go through. He holds the weapon near the shovel blade, using the weapon as a greatsword of sorts.

Dust Functions: Loading into a Dust Foci located relatively near the shovel blade. Yori is able to utilize dust into his semblance.

History: Fashioned from his time in the monastery and his love for dangos.

Everyone has some sort of personal hobby once in their life whether it would be experimenting with Dust or reading a book on their bed wasting the night away. In this wonderful after class afternoon with it's clear blue skies and all, one could hear a certain bang coming from the arena. While it may sound rather minor, as it is an arena for students. Well that wouls be the case if it was not for the fact that there was very tall poles set up, each as thick as a steel beam set up horizontally, arranged in a wat it looks like a huge jumping obstavle course.

That is where Lix Reinhardt, the smallest Reinhardt in existence comea in. Wielding her shield, she takea breather and positions herself in the step of her shield once again. Naturally the poles would be too tall for anyone to jump on to, but when it comesto the surprise Lix has in her shield, jumping the distance is not a problem. Well not say jump, but rather pogo. Pressing a button hidden in her handle bars she is sent into the air, a loud bang signals her next jump and she lands ob the pole, the sharp tip of her pogo helping to balance before being sent off again and lands on another pole. As of now she is about 7 feet in the air. Then she jumps of and lands back on the ground before sitting on the ground, her once confident face suddenly now gone as she srared at a pole of about 12 feet.

So yeah...
If you want a more detailed look of my character she is right there in the sigy! Anyway brief overview.
Lix is a weak link, not the best in combat but knows how to get out of one rather quickly. Not leader material either. Lix is shy and tends to be  over curious about girls and shows no interest in guys. Wields a shield and a grenade launching glove.

Now most Vale students will know of the Shields of Vale, one way or another, whether it is tours in their castle or perhaps they were escorted through the mountain pass they overlook. Or they saw their manly muscles flexing in many commercials and movies. If you want someone who embodies the word 'man', trust a Reinhardt to easily take that position.
Well unless you are talking about their dainty female descendant Lix Reinhardt. Unlike the towering muscles, amazing man hair and flex muscle control, Lix is soft, small and not so muscular, with the only visible signs of muscle is in her legs when she begins to run away from a fight.
Lix ponders about that, as she sat at the entrance of Beacon with a suitcase under her that is bigger than her. Sighing, she expected her dad to have stuffed plenty of unnecessary stuff inside, most likely dumb bells and books on how to fight Grimm. Actually now that Lix thought about it perhaps maybe the book on Grimm will be useful after all. She turns to face the entrance, expecting someone to come out but lowered her head disappointed. Her dad left her with this huge luggage and no one in the regular staff could carry this hefty boulder of leather without breaking their back, so they had gone ahead and went to ask their more stronger crew but with still no man in sight coming to help her she laid on her lugagge and stared into the sky.

Name: Lix Reinhardt, also known as Janitor Lix

Age:17

Species and Gender:Human Female

Symbol: A glove with roots at the base with a sun shining behind it to make an overall resemblance to an olive tree.

Occupation:Beacon 1st Year Huntress, part time Janitor of the Beacon Arena.

Appearance: Lix is a 158cm tall lady with a lithe lean stature. Lacking in body fat but still enough to retain a soft and squishy look, her milky white smooth skin seem to shine like a mirror. Her tender round sky blue eyes contrast her surprising black hair, which flows in curly locks upon her round face with no noticeable cheekbones down to her shoulders. Average weight is 56 kilos. Her small size in both the feminine areas and height would make one believe she is actually younger than 17.

Her typical outfit, which works as her combat outfit as well, consists of a white denim dress as the base, everything else works around it to make it not look like a simple dress. Lix wears a leather shawl that is up to her upper arm, ending about halfway between the elbow joint and shoulder to give herself a bit of protection. A black ribbon with golden lacing at the ends ties Lix’s shoulder length hair in a low ponytail that starts at the back of her neck in a pretty bow, with the ends pointing down. Wearing a satin white glove in her right, and an odd looking black one on her left, Lix leaps into battle wearing stylish and effective  brown leather boots with a click to their step. A belt stashed with removeable box pockets is filled up with dust canisters the size and length of her middle finger is strapped to her waist, leaning a bit to one side due to a certain weight on it.

History: Before diving into Lix's history, one must first understand the Reinhardts, also known as the Shields of Vale.
The Reinhardt family has always been loyal to the Vale cause since the first colony was established, and are still. The family upholds the values of honor, justice and optimism. Brave and daring, if they are not protecting the city, they protect those outside it. One may call them crazy, but they pay no heed.
The Reinhardt family is well known for two things in their history. One is their incredible sense to uphold ones values, and express their individuality freely. Number two is their amazing testorones. Most of their recorded family tree are males, with the exception of Lix' s many great aunt Susie who looks more like a man with boobs. As of now, there are 20 living Reinhardts, each spread out throughout the world.
Most of the Reinhardts live in a castle stationed in the mountain range of Vale, in the outskirts of the city with a direct access. Hence in a distant past, the Reinhardts have an agreement. If they protect the road and it's travellers, Vale government is to provide the castle with income and maintenance. Stationed as the peak of a mountain range, overlooking a pass that runs through it towards Vale, they overlook those who go through it, whether it would be Grimm or human.
Moving on to Lix. Lix is the second female descendant to grace the family, daughter of Dragun Reinhardt and Matil Soleil. Having grown up with men who are ten times her size, as a child she never took notice to the fact she is a small baby among boulders, nor the fact that men are attractive, having grown immune to pulsating muscles, thick veins and mighty roars of manliness. Oh and pec control. Unlike her many great grandma Susie, she never really showed signs of pure muscular brawn, but stayed a rather dainty looking child despite being homeschooled and trained by her family in several cardio workouts. Genetically it does not oddly seem to work out for her. Before long Lix had two younger brothers Eix and Wix, who grew bigger than Lix, thus confusing many outsiders on Lix's acfual family position.
Over the years Lix, despite not becoming combat strong, grown to have better stamina than slot of people, capable of running laps faster and longer than the guards of the castle who patrol the mountain range. However she lacks combat training and loaf any attempt to do so. Lix so became accustomed to either reading or baking with her mother. She also gained a fun past time to do pogoing thanks to her uncle Eugen.
Being the older, when she was 15, Lix was granted a shield, and that her uncle Eugen will take care of her to help get herself a combat style to fight with. However despite accepting the shield, she did not take the matter of combat lightly and demanded time to decide. However her uncle Van knew something was off and privately they spoke.
For the next two years, Lix denied attention to start combat training and begun to shut herself in. Slowly breaking down she finally found comfort in her mother, who also was unsure of how their only daughter should go with life. An aura glowed from inside Lix when she unbottled her feelings.
One day, Eugen finally got Lix out and upin learning she has aura, her jolly uncle got her to expriment with dust. Well, that was when he mafe a mitake to use dust crystals on accident. The crystal react and became a prime tnt, quickly going to guard Lix from the explosion, the sharpnel that flew from the explosion earned Eugen his eyelatch. It was then did uncle Van finally asked. Becon or Haven academy. Unable to fight her case of not wanting to, she entered Beacon despite her incapabilities in combat.

Personality: Lix is a delicate flower in physical sense but with an expansive mind. While she may lack proper decision making, she does not lack in awareness and consciousness, and is able to do things smartly and wisely. With plenty of books in her possession, she has grown to be academically strong, but undermines her physical capabilities, though she does keep fit and maintains relative stamina, hence has always been, a capable marathon runner.
At points, she may sound whiney, or perhaps nervous or afraid, is because of who she is, a very indecisive person. Afraid of making bad decisions, afraid of the consequences, afraid that she harms others. Hesitating and stuttering fill her speech patterns. Even speaking confidently is not the easiest thing for her.
Lix is well known however, for having a strong mental psyche, while she may lack the physical prowess her family holds, she makes up with having a strong mental mind and ability to keep cool in really dangerous situations, and unknowingly to her, is when she makes the best of her decisions. A certain level of stress keeps her shyness and uncertainty down.
Lix has grown to be rather, immune to male attraction, she is still straight but the fact her household is full of people who make can gorilla faunus feel inferior in manliness, makes her very immune to the flirting and man skin shows. This however also results in a lack of male consciousness, meaning her actions barely show any signs of restraint around males, and she often forgets that there are even any males around. In contrast she has an increased curiosity in females, due to the lack of any other than her mother, and tends to be shy around girls due to her insecurities about female socializing capabilities. As much as she is incapable of making female friends, she is very capable of making male friends.
Lix likes baking and pogo as a hobby, and writes her own small story ideas in her diary.

Aura and Semblance:Her aura is a Lime Green color and her semblance, is unnamed but dubbed by her uncle as “Spells”.
Spells allows dust activated by her aura to act much more differently than most usages of Dust. One notable difference is that she gains free range of her dust usage, making her resemble a sort of magician when using it, or someone with a semblance to control the elements themselves. Lix can create intricate shapes and bend them to her will, as long as her aura’s energy is laced into the creation, unlike weapons that use Dust which maintain a fixed outcome.
The last notable difference between her semblance and regular dust usage is that, her semblance requires dust crystals. Unlike most canisters that use the powdered Dust, her semblance requires Dust crystals in order to actually work. It is where she draws the powers from after all, for without Dust her semblance is useless. Dust crystals, unstable as it may be, are stabilized under Lix’s semblance and allow her to drain the energy required to do Dust things. But after a certain limit, the crystal becomes a primed grenade and hence unless taken care off by disposal, things will go kaboom, well actually it will still go kaboom when disposed.
But as of now, due to the recent discovery, the only few things she is capable of is the usage of creating a fireball that has to be thrown or it just stays in her hand, and a conical spray of ice that easily freezes the floors.

Lix relies heavily on dust to do damage, and even then she is not fully capable of using it and her semblance, hence making her a very weak link in her party. But give her a more mental standpoint in a battle, and she can help guide you to victory. Trust her to know Grimm, navigation, tactics and more. The best thing she can do without dust, is either run, or do judo throws then run.

WEAPON

Name: Incutio

Primary Form: A black glove with white lines that run down from the knuckles to the fingernails, which at the knuckles connects to a small linear barrel along the wrist and lower forearm. A small pressure pad is located on the palm.
A band running under the launcher, around the mid forearm, with the trigger mechanism using the pressure pad.

Dust Functions:A 3cm wide and 7cm long barrel serves as the core of its dust based functions. A simple hard press on the pressure pad triggers the barrel to shoot a dust canister out.
Unlike most dust weapons, this one uses crystals, resulting in crazy explosions.
Loading is simple, just pull barrel forward and insert like a battery before pulling it back and locking it.

WEAPON 2

Name: Lix's Shield

Primary Form: A 60 by 30 cm yellow heater shield with overlapping areas, the center being out most forward. Behind is a leather strap and a step for her to, step on and handlebars to hold on to. Works well as a battering ram.

Secondary Form: Shield collapses inwards to look like a rectangle, step is folded inwards to prevent accidental knocking. It can be seen hung on her belt as a big yellow box.

Tertiary Form: The step is out and makes it a pogo stick, with a spike tip. Loading dust gives it a bit of power.

Dust Functions: Using kinetic dust, the powdered kind, she basically makes her shield a pressurized pogo stick. While it takes little to make it jump, using enough can turn the harmless pogo into a impact hammer, allowing Lix to make strong punctures or pogo away to higher heights and longer distances.

History: The glove is simple in background, simply her uncle Eugen gave it to her as a gift for entering Beacon. Though it used to use dust powder at first in the canister. But upon discovery of her semblance and its uses, the powder was switched with the raw power of crystals.
As for the shield, being the eldest meant that she is entitled her own shield by her parents, unlike her two younger siblings who have to earn her approval before getting their own. Her uncle Eugen twinked it so it fights her fighting style.

History: Eldest Daughter of the age old family known as the Reinhardt's, known for their incredible physique and undying will. Oh and also their incredibly jolly laugh and the fact most of the family tree are male. The only females are the wives of the men of the Reinhardt's, with the only exception being Lix's many greats grandmother, who looks more like a female version of every male in her family. Living and home schooled in a castle somewhere in Vale, they have relative contact with the main city and the outer forests that surround it. They also help keep Grimm away.
Being the smallest in size, and only petite female besides her mother, Lix has grown an immunity to the sight of half naked muscle men with chest hair and basically anything that describes them as manly in social standards. Oh and the fact they have pec control. However her small stature often confuses the outsiders of her family the fact that Lix is the eldest, with her younger brothers, Nix who is 16 and Wix who is 15, are relatively taller than her, and are bigger. Having grown use to it however often makes her wonder if she could ever see anyone smaller or at least a similar height.
Lix grew up in the Reinhardt castle, a castle still retaining the cobblestone medieval architecture, with towers looming over the forest and battlements to easily look over the grounds. The castle itself, serves as a watchpoint for Grimm of the more dangerous kind, but still relative enough for a team of well trained Hunters and Huntresses to keep at bay.
Lix suffers a rather, polar opposite life. While her opportunities are plentiful, whether to follow in the footsteps of her family to become great hunters, or to pursue a more academic life or perhaps a calm life selling baked goods like her mother. Whatever her decision, Lix remains uncertain, and wouldn't you know it, the stress broke her and unleashed her aura. Her family persuaded Lix to head for a combat academy, but she declined, being unsure of her decisions still.
Lix became rather solitary after that, keeping away from dinners and locking herself in her room, often you see her doing stuff like reading in the astronomy tower which happens to be the library as well, or staring at the stars, often in tears. Lix could either give into peer pressure or run. At least.
Well that was until her uncle Van decided to pay a visit. While most of the family stays in Vale's castle, there is the one in Mistral, which is even older, and her uncle Van oversees its operations. Case in point, Uncle Van managed to push for Lix to attend either Beacon or Haven before school year starts. Unable to argue, Lix retreated to her quarters, but have made her decision to go to Beacon, probably her first firm decision.
One fine day, in preparation to enter Beacon, she went out with her uncle Eugen. In the forest, she found a raw dust crystal ore and touched it. Her uncle Eugen was with her and stared at how the crystal seems to react with Lix's aura. Next thing you know, Lix's hand was on fire but she felt no burning. Then the crystal explodes, causing her uncle Eugen to lose an eye in protecting her from the explosion. Her uncle however did not lose hope, and supplied her crystals, and seeing how her aura works. Before long Eugen had helped Lix discover her semblance.
As for how she got her job, she wanted to get herself some extra cash so she asked Beacon admins to apply for a part time job.

Lix relies heavily on dust to do damage, and even then she is not fully capable of using it and her semblance, hence making her a very weak link in her party. But give her a more mental standpoint in a battle, and she can help guide you to victory. Trust her to know Grimm, navigation, tactics and more. The best thing she can do without dust, is either run, or do judo throws then run.

WEAPON

Name: Incutio

Primary Form: A black glove with white lines that run down from the knuckles to the fingernails, which at the knuckles connects to a small linear barrel along the wrist and lower forearm. A small pressure pad is located on the palm.
A band running under the launcher, around the mid forearm, with the trigger mechanism using the pressure pad.

Dust Functions:A 3cm wide and 7cm long barrel serves as the core of its dust based functions. A simple hard press on the pressure pad triggers the barrel to shoot a dust canister out.
Unlike most dust weapons, this one uses crystals, resulting in crazy explosions.
Loading is simple, just pull barrel forward and insert like a battery before pulling it back and locking it.

WEAPON 2

Name: Lix's Shield

Primary Form: A 60 by 30 cm yellow heater shield with overlapping areas, the center being out most forward. Behind is a leather strap and a step for her to, step on and handlebars to hold on to. Works well as a battering ram.

Secondary Form: Shield collapses inwards to look like a rectangle, step is folded inwards to prevent accidental knocking. It can be seen hung on her belt as a big yellow box.

Tertiary Form: The step is out and makes it a pogo stick, with a spike tip. Loading dust gives it a bit of power.

Dust Functions: Using kinetic dust, the powdered kind, she basically makes her shield a pressurized pogo stick. While it takes little to make it jump, using enough can turn the harmless pogo into a impact hammer, allowing Lix to make strong punctures or pogo away to higher heights and longer distances.

History: The glove is simple in background, simply her uncle Eugen gave it to her as a gift for entering Beacon. Though it used to use dust powder at first in the canister. But upon discovery of her semblance and its uses, the powder was switched with the raw power of crystals.
As for the shield, being the eldest meant that she is entitled her own shield by her parents, unlike her two younger siblings who have to earn her approval before getting their own. Her uncle Eugen twinked it so it fights her fighting style.

Well salutations everyone! I am Luxsayla! Jk I'm Lixsayla, Lix was actually a typo I made while typing Lux... But guess what I stuck with woot! Well I hope that this personal hobby of mine (and my fangirling) would be enjoyable (probably not the fangirling) to you all and well... I got myself a draft here already so I guess since this roleplay (god I am dragging this by typing this in brackets) I should also introduce my character (insert sparkles and fireworks here in your imagination)

Well hi! I am um... Lix Reinhardt, yes Lix, odd name huh heheh... God my parents are weird ahem! So I'm a typical Vale person who um... thanks to my uncle... um... Let's just say I got enrolled yes? Well its not that I'm i-incapable of fighting Grimm... It's just that I prefer the quiet you know... God damn it Uncle Van... It is pronounced Va-An, like in Vanguard. Anyway um... so my uncle yeah... yeah... the old bloke decided to send me to Beacon cause I chose Beacon Hunter Academy over Haven's, which is my family's usually school... So y-yeah looking forward to working with my fellow hunters and huntresses!
