"just one spell. plenty more to go." Fallow replied to Lucas's call for a status update as he ran towards the group. As he arrived as he was facing Lucas he could see Ashlee behind him and a grin crossed his face as she leaped at the boy.

As Fallow reached the edge of the clearing he already had his spell ready. "Alright. Hit the dirt!" Fallow didn't wait to see if Ashlee complied before he cast his spell, creating 100 frozen blades of ice above his head in a wide arc. he then tilted a raised hand forward and those blades flew forward into the battlefield ripping through whatever got in the way or shattering upon it. Fallow had aimed his spell at an angle where anyone flat against the ground would probably be ok but anyone else would be caught in the line of fire.

Fallow simply rolled his eyes as reports came in of Ashlee getting herself stuck into a fight. He knew he was still a ways off but begun flipping through the pages of his book as he ran. "Ashlee. Get clear if you can. If not hit the dirt when I call out. I have a plan."

Fallow doesn’t have a team at the moment. Though I think he’s my only first year without one.

Fallow listened intently as he continued in his struggle to keep up as Ashlee joined Lucas in disappearing completely from view. Great. Good thing the light is there or I'd be completely screwed. "ok great. Let's go through abilities then. That dust enhancement could work well paired with me. Dust is kinda my thing. I use symbols drawn in dust to create what are basically spells. They're really good at taking out lots of Grimm at once but it's easy to catch allies in the crossfire and it is not subtle at all. Also in case you haven't noticed I'm distinctly lacking in ways to move at high speeds so would some of you kindly hold up a second before I lose track of you?" Irritabilty began to permeate Fallow's words as he begun talking about his inability to keep up with the rest of his teammates.

A few minutes later reports of Grimm appeared. Now comes the fun part. Fallow thought to himself as a smile curled on his lips. "How tightly grouped are they? I might be able to take them all out at once. It'll be loud and flashy but without any negative emotions I'm willing to be the civilians will attract the Grimm more than we will anyway.......which now that I say it may not be a good thing.

Fallow was glad that his impact hadn't hurt anyone. I should really try to come up with a less destructive landing strategy. he thought to himself as someone took charge and gave a plan of action. The briefing said that the people at the tower could probably hold out. It would be better to rescue the people who can't defend themselves first. They probably won't even be there to save if we take too long getting there. Fallow had been about to raise this objection when Lucas' scroll negated the need. With scroll details going around Fallow quickly added everyone and saw their aura levels appear. Then everyone got moving, lacking many ways to increase his mobility Fallow broke out into a sprint to keep up but quickly found himself falling behind.

Over the course of the flight Fallow had been seated quietly, working on writing as many additional symbols into his Grimoire as he could before arriving at the location of his mission. An arrival signaled by a sudden blast of wind catching him. "Time to go I take it?" he asked to no one in particular as he got to his feet and lazily walked towards the exit. simply taking a step over the edge he was suddenly in free-fall heading towards the ground, where a group had already gathered. Well that won't end well." "GET CLEAR!" Fallow yelled out as he ran his hand across a page in the book he held in his hand and snapped his palm towards the ground. As he did so a blast of force exploded out from his palm slamming straight into the ground beneath him sending dirt spitting in all directions, the back-blast from this attack on the ground slowing Fallow's descent to the point where he was able to land gracefully.

Well this thread seems written for Gray. This guy is basically defined by his regrets. Be it his past with the White Fang. His abusive relationship with Orabel, getting shot by Nathan. Being caught in the Vale Bombings. I think there's plenty of material there.

AMA Section / Re: What would your character(s) wear for Halloween?
« on: October 20, 2019, 08:26:58 AM »
As previously established in an old Halloween thread that I couldn’t bother finding Fallow went dressed as a necromancer.

As for everyone else. Pre trauma Gray would probably go as the big bad wolf because that version of him still had a sense of humour.

Revya would go as some sort of robot. Maybe the iron giant or tin man.

Ceramite would probably be lazy and just use his performing clothes or join in on whatever the rest of Grimm Omen decided to do.

Sandy would make a new costume every year and always have it look crap because he’d thrown it together in the last minute.

Gray failed to respond for a while though when the scroll was put away Gray did seem to calm down. Albeit slowly.

"The 2nd year rounds. Shows how much better we can get." Gray replied quickly to Toast. Then his attention was brought to the scroll. He didn't say anything but his physical response told the story pretty well. His entire body tensed up and his face twisted into a snarl. He looked about ready to start lashing out again.

"Gray. My name is Gray. Also I'm not crazy." Despite his weapons being away Gray still had his wolf ears perked up to catch any sound. He was evidently still on high alert.

"Didn't want the psycho to shoot anyone else." Gray responded quietly to Toast. Then turned his attention to Diana "Aura was down anyway."

Revya snapped to reality, realising he had been spaced out for an extended period of time, likely thinking about something with gears in it. He opted to remain silent and try to absorb information through context. whoops.
