Keeping one eye on the goings-on of the battle, Samuel mumbled to himself quietly as he tapped in on the keyboard of his scroll. He'd have to go over the code later, not really putting his mind to it properly, but it was a good distraction while he observed the fight starting up. Cerise had gone in fast and hard, showing that at the very least she had an idea of how to use the... halberd? Glaive was probably a better term from taking a glance at the shaping of the weapon. The blows seemed to be quite heavy but not too slow; she either had to be a prodigy of some scale, or that fighting style was going to be tiring. The latter was more probable, giving the age of the students on the team, though he hadn't asked for hers - and Juno had drilled just about enough social etiquette into his head that he wouldn't randomly ask her it, either.
At least, while said team leader was around.
Pausing in his coding, he flicked open his internet browser, becoming slightly more interested in the fight. Searching up the name of their new team member, Samuel tried finding some more information about the girl while Juno responded in fashion. He gave a slight sigh as Cerise switched her weapon to a shorter-range mode; while the Falchion would be more agile, from personal experience he wished good luck onto whoever tried fighting Juno in that close of a range. Annoyed as he was with VCVS' leader, that didn't mean the teen was stupid enough to doubt his skill in combat. He was, however, irritated enough to doubt his relative sanity for dragging them all here so freaking early. Relative, in that Beacon probably held far more not-quite-there people being a hotspot of activity for a bunch of combat-trained teenagers.
As the two seemed to get more into the rhythm of the fight, he smirked slightly. Seemed like things were finally getting interesting. Samuel opened up the few webpages that looked promising, and carried on watching the fight. If Cerise really did use a self-exhausting style, he might actually be able to give or get some hints, considering how much his own drained him when he really went for it. Hm. Speaking of, maybe he should try to work out a bit of the anger and stress, and sparring's a good outlet, right?
