Zabar felt the end of staff slam against his chest, had he not been wearing his chest piece, that attack might have winded him and cost him valuable time. Instead, he grit his teeth and endured the pain, letting the heat wash over him and the electricity crackle across the armor. Wasting no more time, he quickly brought both of his hands down onto the staff and gripped. hard.
He turned his body to the right shifting his grip on the staff as he did so, and planted his feet firmly to the ground. He arms tensed as he swung the staff around with his opponent still attached and launched them away from him, toward the ground on the opposite side of the arena.
Just as Nathan hit the ground, the glassy cage around the arena flashed and disappeared. The sound of Vulco laughing from the announcers booth rung around the stadium, overtaking any cheers or boos that had been in place before. "WELCOME TO THE SLOPE, B ҉ ҉ CHES!" was all that could be heard before the ground rumbled once more, and began to slowly tip to the side, placing Nathan at the bottom of the hill and Zabar at the top.
Zabar looked down at the arena as it sloped below him, Nathan was up now, same as him and recovered from the shifting floor. As he looked down at his opponent and the floor below him, an idea came to mind, one that he would only get a single chance at. Whether it was a good idea or a bad idea, he wasn't sure. All he was sure of was that it was an interesting idea, and that was good enough.
The chamber in the Vacuan's left arm spun back around to propulsion dust as Zabar pointed it down toward Nathan and fired off a burst of dust, sending him sliding backward, just barely against the edge of the arena. Once he had solid footing, the chamber cycled around again to ice dust, keeping it pointed directly toward Nathan in case he got any bright ideas. 'There might not be much left in this gauntlet, but there has to be enough for at least the plan... the ice dust doesn't give off any effect to the gauntlet, if I can catch him off guard by making him think I'm still on kinetic dust then I can get the advantage... if not...'
Zabar raised his right hand high above his head and opened his palm up to the sun above, and as the light beat down from the sun and the air above Zabar's hand begin to shimmer, flames began shooting up into the air before being pulled back down toward his palm and being whipped around into perfect, explosive ball that grew each second. '... Then I'll make it work.'
