The question we were wondering is "Can she 'aim' the ricochets?" Bounce shots around corners, between enemies, etc. Pool/pinball style.

"Swear to the Maidens, it laughs at me. I can hear it, right at the edge of things. When I'm dropping off to sleep or when shit goes south, or whatever. It fucking laughs at me.... Or I'm losing my damn mind, hell, I don't know."

You don't need to specify exact calibers. There's no rule against it, but it is occasionally nice to have that detail. When you do is generally when I get involved, though, and I'm pretty good with guns. Also you should change the names of the  weapons. I doubt Remnant has US Military weapon naming conventions.

Maybe ist the best think just to wait until a mod shows up and says his opinion.

You do know I'm one of the Worldbuild Mods, right? I'm not Character Creation, but I generally know my stuff.

Unlikely. Too many abilities. Semblances can do one thing. Some boost strength, some allow elemental contro, some create little energy drones. Janus' generates thrust. Etc. You've got, like, seven abilities in one.

AMA Section / Re: How do your characters spend their free time?
« on: February 06, 2017, 10:26:00 PM »
"Hmmm....", Janus growled, rubbing at the stubble growing on his chin. "Well, free time in the Hunting line of work, or even my line, now, is a bit of a... misnomer." He gestured to the table he was seated at. An open scroll sat at the edge, the rest of it was newspapers, articles, maps, and magazines. "See, if you're between jobs, you should be keeping an eye out for the next one. When you're solely a Huntsman, you can see where the world is shifting, you look close enough. Where's conflict brewing? Where're supply lines shortening. Where...", he paused for a moment, swiping across a block of articles.

"Where is shit gonna go wrong? You find those, you find Grimm.", he sighs, sitting back, he tugs a bottle out of case on the floor next to him, cracking it open on his rifles barrel.

"Now, in my line, you're looking for a lot of the same shit. There's a fair amount of us out there, so you wanna try and be the first one on site, or the first to get a message through, whichever. There's some... less reputable boards that you can find, if you're discrete enough, skilled enough, connected enough, what have you.", he waved dismissively, downing a considerable portion of the ale. "Generally speaking, you'll get better results if you're proactive. You gotta actively hunt down leads, which could be anything. Political, economic, criminal, legal or illicit. That takes time."

The Mercenary paused for a moment, shifting a few of his papers aside, revealing one with a quickly drawn White Fang logo on it. "Course, you're gotta keep your own skill level up, too. Gotta train, gotta work, gotta learn. Time, time, time. You never know what, or who, you're gonna end up tangling with next. Your life, your paycheck, and usually both, depend directly on how much time you put into your work."

With that, he polished the drink off, setting it on the floor, next to a cluster of it's brothers.

"So, kid, to sum it up? Downtime is just wasted time. Waste not, want not, hm?"

Plot Zone / Re: Non-Canon Star Wars Thread
« on: January 11, 2017, 07:36:03 PM »
Alright, set up the dossier a bit more. Anyone looking to join, there's still plenty of roles. If you've got any weird shit you want, like Mandalorians, or something like that, let me know and we'll see if we can work something out. Still need some Squadron Leaders and Ship Captains, too, folks.

Plot Zone / Non-Canon Star Wars Thread
« on: January 08, 2017, 10:18:42 PM »
So, for anyone that's been in the IRC channel for more than ten minutes, you've probably caught on that I'm a big Star Wars fan. Now, I know on the old board there was another Star Wars thread, one that spiraled out of control, apparently, with Sith and Droids and Smugglers and anachronisms and confusion and whatnot.

Well, I'm gonna give it another shot, just with a bit more structure. I will be making a NEW Star Wars thread. There's some catches here. I like killing characters being a big one. This is a Star Wars thread. In the spirit of the movies and books, I don't expect everyone to make it through this. Everyone's going to make three separate New Republic characters, at minimum, 5 at maximum. Now I know this is a lot of characters for one thread, but I don't expect you to go through the whole creation process as we do on the board. You're welcome to use versions of those characters, if you choose, but with all characters I need the Name, Race, Age, Planet of Origin, and a couple sentences of their history. There'll be a few examples at the bottom here. NO FORCE SENSITIVE CHARACTERS.

Now, when you post, I might message you shortly afterwards saying that your character is dead, in some way, shape, or form. An X-Wing pilot could get shot down by a TIE Interceptor, or a Pathfinder could get enough shrapnel to put him down, or the like. After my message, you get to go back, and edit the circumstances of the characters death, whether they just burn out immediately, like Red Ten, or if they have a couple seconds to scream and fight before expiring. At that point, you're more than welcome to assume the role of the next character in your list, having them drop out of hyperspace as reinforcements, or switching to another squad as support, or something along those lines. I would like a total of six people for this. Some slots are already taken, so post in here and I'll let you know, or keep you in mind as backup if this shit doesn't go completely off the rails. There's going to be a space element, followed by a ground element. One full fighter wing supported by two CR-90 Corvettes. Ranks drawn from the X-Wing Alliance structure for Fighter Pilots, keep it simple for the groundside guys. I'll fill in roles as needed. If you want to make a character, just for shits and giggles, go ahead.

PLAYERS
1: Seig
2: Aegis
3: Xarias Fury

Plot details follow from here. If you've got any other questions, message me, or hit me up on the IRC channel.

In the four years since the death of Emperor Palpatine, Darth Vader, and many of the Empires best and brightest at Endor, the Galaxy has begun changing. Almost immediately afterwards, the Rebel Alliance began pushing the Empire back. Battles continued to rage as Admirals and Moffs tried desperately to grab for power, splintering the Empire into dozens of Warlord led factions. New Republic Military assets have found themselves spread thin during this period of chaos. One particular instance has seen a small section of the First Fleet deployed for an assault on an Imperial Research facility. Discovered while combing records on Coruscant, very little is known about the Facility, Codenamed: Serafall.

Fuck that, Xar, make your guide how you want. Shits fine now, Sesh a shit.

Janus looked down his nose in irritation at yet another new arrival, this one seemingly oblivious to the situation. He looked back at the Faunus girl that had triggered her Semblance on the now dispersing crowd of people.

"Save your fucking apology for when it's actually needed. Your awareness and reflexes were shitty, but not that shitty. That idiot's the one that set this off.", he said, gesturing to the Alsatian Faunus that had collided with her. "You're a student, young, inexperienced, and in a city that's covered in ice. Maybe fucking walk?"

He looked around at the other students, then started working down the line. "You!", he growled, pointing at Blair. "Turn the fucking fire off. You're gonna melt the frost and snow into a big, dangerous patch of motherfuckers falling over!" He turned and gestured at Dorothy's shield. "Put your shield away. You wanna fuckin' brawl, take it somewhere out of public eye.", his tone remained even, if clearly irritated. "And you."

He turned and looked at Catalina. "Learn to read the mood, boy."

With that, he shook his head, snow dropping off his comfy hat. "It is. The damned. Wintertide. Be festive. Be friendly. Be the Huntsmen you're at school to be. Spread joy, comfort, and warmth-not literal warmth you shits, the metaphorical, feel good shit. Way things've been going lately, everyone here could use a bit more cheer, hm?"

Bundled in all the warming layers he'd picked up over the past few weeks, the Mercenary shuffled patiently through the city. He enjoyed this time of year. The cold was refreshing, like being at high altitudes, just with less effort. The decorations across the city were beautiful. More... soul than he'd have seen in his old home. Atlesians were a bit more... Well, a bit more Atlesian. He chuckled at the thought, looking at the ribboned archway into one of the more populated districts. There was a slight pause, almost a hitch in his step, as he walked into the area. His good mood fled, rapidly. That'd been happening regularly these past couple weeks. No amount of booze, sleep, or distractions had kept his spirits up so far.

Pretty easy to feel down after being responsible for not just one, but two of the biggest atrocities in years.

Janus Rogo shook his head. The ushanka on it had a slightly musty smell to it, when he'd picked it out of a thrift shops bargain bin. Nothing a bit of dish soap hadn't been able to fix, however, and he found it keeping his head warm quite effectively. The flaps helped to hide his face, as well. Under the thick winter coat, he had partial armor, as well as the Tyrant, split down for concealment. Sure, he was likely being overly paranoid, since the news had failed to make any mention of him, but still... Better safe tha-

His attention snapped over as he saw the boy drop from the roof. Maybe don't run around like an idiot and this won't happen he thought to himself. He was momentarily surprised by the boys recovery, though. Something semblance related, going by the reflexes. It wasn't the most graceful of landings, though, when he collided with the Fox Faunus. Nor was the reaction of everyone around them. He heard the startled reactions of the crowd as the Fox panicked, sending a radial blast of cold out, freezing numerous bystanders in place. The older student she'd been talking to had managed to get a shield in the way, while the rest of the students seemed unfazed, and used their Aura to resume moving.

None of them paid much mind to the bystanders, however, and with a fair amount of them lodged in place, this seemed impermissible to Janus. He moved into the crowd, boots going to work. He kicked apart bits of the ice, trying to placate the crowd.

"Hey folks! Sorry for the trouble, everyone! Urban cold weather training! Not an actual fight! We'll get you guys cleared up and on your way!", he shouted. There was a smile on his face as he stamped a foot into the ground, approaching the students, but it seemed one of irritation, more than anything else. He stamped again, channeling his Aura into the blow, and watched the ice sheet fracture, then break apart, letting the rest of the crowd start moving. "So sorry, everyone! Happy Wintertide!"

With that, the crowd slowly, warily started moving again. The voice of the older Huntsman was clearly somewhat effective. That same older Huntsman turned towards the others with a sharp glare.

"Are you students out of your goddamned minds?"

Janus stared between the two, anger tempering to outright disappointment.

"Fuckin kids these days."

With that, he shot straight up in the air, took a 90 degree turn, and sailed off into another, distant part of the town.
