Martin is pretty lonely being one of the few (that I've seen) people from Vacuo around here, especially in his year at Shade. Sure, the pretty girls and interesting folks he's been running into make it a bit better, but the whole 'fish out of water' thing would go a lot easier if there was someone he could commiserate with, and possibly team with, and (especially if there's going to be teaming) I don't want to create more characters just to talk to myself.

I guess it's a bit of a vicious cycle. People don't make single characters because as of right now, there's a very small amount of characters outside of the structures of Vale to interact with, which in turn puts people off from creating "outside" characters and so on and so forth. I initially wanted to have my first character be of a completely different concept myself but backed away from it since I...well, wanted to have something to do for this character.

I know AzureAzure and I had some plots lined up for Vacuan specific characters, and I would love to see them play out, but I am decidedly trash at keeping threads alive. I might put some of the info out there to at least get some interest before I decide on what to do with it.

I'll be honest, I'd love to have characters from other regions, but I don't have a lot of information on the world of remnant outside of Vale. That's my  biggest reason for not making any characters in other regions.

Hopefully, with Volume 4 taking the show on the road, we'll get a better idea of how the rest of Remnant is (As well as proof of aquatic Faunus) so there may soon be a spike in characters.

It will likely be a spike in Mistral characters more than anything. Maybe Atlas characters since Weiss is there, but most of the show seems like it's taking place in Mistral. Part of the reason why we wanted to crank out some basic details about mistral before V4 started.

Kaliot has a great Idea there. My next two characters are going to be from Atlas (Xavier) and im looking at Vacuo for another. I have seen rp websites propose more strict character creation rules than making sure that at least 4 are from individual schools. It is certainly a plausible proposal.
