The Vale Region / Walking the Beat [Bad End] [Closed]
« on: October 11, 2016, 05:32:50 PM »
Frost 4th, 80 AC

On a rather cold and drifty day in Vale, like the weather usually is, the docks at Beacon Academy were bustling with people as they wait for their next ride out of Beacon. Multiple people of different kingdoms would wait as the Bullheads shuffle in and out as expected of the Vytal Festival. It was normal for Bullheads to come and go at certain times since people were always traveling around Vale in a sense of tourism. However, when a Bullhead pulls in at an unexpected time, it would surely draw curious glances towards it considering the brief pause of nothing happening. It would invite even more gazes to it as a recognizable figure comes out of the docked Bullhead and waits in front of it:

Eklipsei Gray, a Head of the White Fang Investigation Team.

What reason would such an authoritative figure to be at Beacon Academy? Well, four very lucky individuals of different years and kingdoms are going to be taken under his wing as a team for the day, and they’ll take a nice simple mission as a way to pass on Eklipsei's simple lessons to be taught to the future protectors of humanity.

Flicking his fingers left and right, Eklipsei held his scroll in his fidgeting hands. He had checked his scroll to pass the time as he waits in front of his designated bullhead for the mission, but now that Eklipsri was awaiting for the individuals he had chosen for his request, he might as well also shoot off a few messages to his peers and superiors. Especially to a certain retired huntress that is sneaking around Beacon Academy when she shouldn't be...

Bobbing his head to the beat, it was no surprised that Noir would get surprised when he was suddenly touched out of nowhere. Figuratively jumping in fear, Noir calms his racing heartbeat from the scare as he takes off the headphones off his head. Immediately after, he gets up, assuming the person that touched his head would be his teammate. With a shaky grin as he looked in the general vicinity of where the touch came from, Noir held out a hand for a handshake.

”I’m, uh, Noir. Nice to meet you… all?”

Noir had just realized that there was more people in the room after finally noticing his aura sensory. However, in spite of his fact, there is a very clear hesitant tone on his last word as if he was wondering if he’s wrong about the amount of people, or worse, in the wrong room. Semblance usage on the back of his mind, as he currently does not want a headache, Noir just keeps a shaky grin on.

Warning: Your characters CAN possibly die, but that is only if you fuck up badly. The GM DOES not intend to screw you over, but if you fuck up multiple times, you can only blame yourself.

On one of the many busy days that came from the Vytal Festival being in Vale, an inconspicuous mission was floating around the board, eagerly awaiting for someone to take up on this proposition...

Greetings Hunters-in-Training,

In light of recent news, it has come to my attention that “Lord of Nevermore” must be taken in. Fortunately, there was a tip from a protected witness that the criminal would be showing up at a location in a certain timeframe. Considering it is good to be prepared and that you students are still learning, it had been decided that I will be taking a team of 4 students and I will “show the ropes” essentially. It would be a fun teaching experience, and we’ll get things done.

Good luck, Eklipsei Gray.

P.S. You’ll get paid.

Remnant News Network / Zester: Lord of Nevermore?
« on: October 06, 2016, 01:28:43 AM »
Zester Post:

There is a masked criminal running freely around the streets of Vale, calling themselves “Lord of Nevermore.” It is unknown for the reason on why they have chosen that name, nor the motive, but there is information that is currently disclosed to public is that “Lord of Nevermore” had been terrorizing the streets of Vale in multiple instances. They have been linked to multiple crimes for over a year now some in other kingdoms, invoking Head of White Fang Investigation, Eklipsei Gray, to begin investigation on the criminal. Please send any relevant information to Vale’s Police Department. Watch out people, don’t want you all hurt!

Sovereign wasn't paying attention as he manipulated the flames, yet he can feel the burning within his body from his semblance. He would've continuely done so as well if it hadn't been for Osbourne appearing right in front of him while doing so. Thrown off, Sovereign can only watch as Osbourne grabs his head, effectively cutting off Sovereign from using his semblance at that point in time. Sovereign could only watch as electricity started to dance off of Osbourne's armor before flowing into Sovereign...

Pain. Pure, excruciating pain as a raw, loud scream is torn out of his throat as Sovereign gets electrocuted all throughout, especially after his semblance usage.

Blocking out all the pain so that he can deal with Osbourne, Sovereign uses his semblance to use up all the wind dust he has stored within DPM to get Osbourne off of him. Immediately, with a sudden motion, all that wind dust is converted into force as he brings it down down Osbourne with extreme force, slamming Osbourne's face down into the ground of Geyser. It was not a continuous stream since Sovereign used up all of it, but it was enough for him to get away from the excruciating pain. As Sovereign gained some distance from Osbourne, he slowly adjusts to the pain before moving into an improvised stance.

Artist sighs, as she looks at the forms of her team are spread out around her. Dead or fatigued, she still felt a slight sadness for not being able to protect them. In the end, it didn’t even matter now. They’ll push through and make sure that the White Fang does what it is meant to be done. However, upon Cornix’s question, she had a massive grin as she answers.

”Ah yes, it’ll be taken care of Captain. Now-” ”Good. I am ready as well.”

Artist quickly turns to the new voice, only to frown at who it was. The clothing and mask gave it away, and the very clear signature weapon of Blacksmith was also there. Had Blacksmith been following all that time? Regardless, Artist wished she knew Blacksmith’s agenda. That, and be less blunt. He’s so boring with a stick up his ass. However, it’s not Artist’s place to speak up, as she watched Blacksmith turn to Cornix as if he was going to say something, and with a nod of acknowledgement and respect...

”Cornix.”

Sovereign grimaced in pain as his gauntlet clashed against her fist, the pushed back. If Sovereign hadn’t use his semblance so early on, he could’ve shaken it off, but now that all his nerves are sensitive… the clashing hurted like hell. Once again, the pain is overrun with adrenaline as Sovereign had a match to focus on. Quickly recovering from the distance he lost as pain sparked through his legs, Sovereign quickly snapped to the right of Strelka to try and blindside her with a left hook to the face and a straight jab to the body right after that as the icy layer from his gauntlets start to recover again so that it’s a harder hit for each blow.

The Vale Region / Re: A Dis-ARMing Situation [Closed]

Iron was admiring the arm that Vivian had, only to almost start drooling as he found that the arm was detachable! The sophistication of said machinery boggles his mind as he starts to look at every bits and pieces of it to gather EVERYTHING he could about it. It would require a bit of… experimentation, but the data he can grab from this can allow Iron to improve his own design, and maybe even the design held within his hand!

After noticing his… inappropriate behavior, Iron immediately straightened and cleared his throat. Re-orientating his glasses to be more professional, he holds the arm in a more proper and graceful way as it is still an arm of a person that needs it to actually do things.

”Ah. Apologies. It is not everyday you get to compare a product to that of your own.” Iron scowled as he glance at the malfunctioning arm, even if there were still some things the arm can do in its damaged state. However, Iron grinned in his mind as he pictures all of the possibilities he has using this new variable placed infront of him.

Noir was blindly walking, quite literally, through Beacon’s hallways while listening to some sweet music using some sweet headphones to calm his mind. His destination was his new team dorm after being transferred, which took quite a while to figure out considering “text-to-speech” is pretty slow as fuck. Luckily enough, Noir got used to where the dorms are and pretty much committed it to memory from all those previous years. Idly whistling, Noir was probably not ready for what awaited him…

… Noir miraculously got through the doorway without bumping into anything! That almost never happens because he’s usually off at some point of orientation. Not thinking anything suspect about it, he immediately dropped down to the left of the doorway inside the room. Sitting down, Noir quietly bobbed his head to the music as he waited for his teammates to arrive, not knowing that they were actually there. Gotta love that absentminded part of Noir to not sense the aura signatures inside the room.

With a grin, Sovereign ignores more of his pain as his adrenaline starts pumping again as he is about to enter battle once again with Strelka. Sovereign tightens the gauntlets on his hands, getting ready for the battle that is soon to happen. Immediately, Sovereign closes in the distance towards Strelka while switching off to Ice Dust within his gauntlet. Painfully grinning as his nerves start acting up again, Sovereign does a straight jab at Strelka as he uses his semblance to manipulate an icy layering over his fist.
