Title: Character development through plot threads
Post by: Capta1n_Henry on April 30, 2017, 11:17:40 PM
This is kind of a stupid question, and it might be posted somewhere, but plot threads can warrant the change of characters right? I ask this because Manic has a workshop thread and I was wondering if I could use it to upgrade my 4th year character for future threads (obviously they wouldn't carry over to threads where the character is already engaged in combat or conversation).

Yes, it can! However, any change needs to be edited in and approved before you can make use of it. I *could* add a flamethrower to my weapon, but not in first year because it's already damn good 'nough.

I'm sure it would be a good opportunity to add something you have recently thought of without needing to retcon it in.

As far as I know, you can advance your character with events from any thread. I've changed and upgraded Enz based on events in open threads and the like. I mean, as long as it's reasonable and makes sense, you can have just about any meaningful event change your character.
