Common sense, drink from your own servings and don't leave drinks unattended. So Cat only peeked at the drink once and drank from his own bottle of water.

Cat has to turn his brain gears for a bit before coming up with a response, because they are correct. "I'll take your word for it, Smokey, but what if the person you are fighting is not just some random person? What if it was someone you care about? I am not saying you should fight any less fierce for your freedom, and I won't deny that greed prevented humans from basic morals, not until the Great War and the Faunus Rights Revolution. The absolute last thing the Faunus should be focused on is how humanity feels, but it is a thing both Faunus and Humanity have to go over at some point, simply because we will live together in freedom. But that's not until you have taken back your deserved freedom, whether by force or peace. Is that an acceptable position for you?"

"And no, pepper spray and tear gas are not actually used in wars precisely because they can be classified as chemical weapons, they are only riot control agents for that reason. I'm not sure why you think he's only arguing for the sake of arguing, Prism but I'll say that the people traffickers' families are absolutely taken care of by welfare programs if they are eligible, and I dare say that this money that are wrongly made is put into good use." Cat still feels like he should engage with Calen despite what Prism said, ignoring people is a not a good way to get points across.

"Uhh, I would prefer if you are here to guard me. I'm not completely drawn to my character's feed, however if someone approached with stealth I'm not confident I can spot them."

Siu reports her finding with her dragons as she searched, "Big, empty room. Blood stains and claw marks everywhere. No bodies. There's an underground tunnel... Still blood claws and lack of bodies... and we hit a dead end with no claw marks somehow. Big metal doors." Siu reported in earnest.

"Looks like we can just stroll in ourselves. Unless there are people still hiding outside, which I can try to lure out with the Dragons. Can you please help me with that?" So now she needs help.

Alright, the moment of truth. We are closing in on each other, and she is clearly going to swing. There's one chance he can do this.

Cat ran backwards, letting loose the wires he gathered on his hand in the process, as the white energetic arc approaches. He could not outrun it entirely, but he only needs some more time. As the slash gets closers Cat took one last look at it and counted down on the arrival. In 3... 2... 1... Cat jumped above and backwards, crossing over the slice like a high jump athlete. But like an athlete his moves aren't always perfect, so he did get clipped on his leg.

With no time to waste to take advantage of her exhaustion, Cat quickly rushed himself back to Ayaka, attempting to tackle her to the ground. This should be perfect for pulling a Smokey on her.

Combat stats:
Aura: 47.88(repeating)% (1/4 damage from slice)
Ammo for Take That!: 14/20 shots of piercing rounds loaded/1 magazine of piercing rounds/1 magazine of explosive rounds/5 shocking rounds/5 heating rounds/5 freezing round
Dust: 0% Fire/100% Earth/25% Lightning/0% Ice
Semblance: 2200 cm^3

Action: Tackle to the ground(2% plus potential faceplant)

"Yeah, I get what you mean. I never really intended to diffuse the situation. I... just didn't want to be put in the wrong. Unprofessional, isn't it?" Siu answered Saffron's probe into her with a self-deprecating but accurate answer.

With the snap of a finger, three dragons are conjured at in front of her. This is one of those situations she has practiced countless times before. She can just do this still sitting in the car, she obviously prefers to just scout into the construct just like that, but she still needs to coordinate with her squadmate first. "Simple plan, we figure their layout out then see if we need to call backup, call Cerulean or just clear it out ourselves."

(Yes, absolutely. Without that scouting is pretty useless lol)

Even in the vehicle, Siu heard every word the old man lauched at her. When he was done ranting, she lifted her leg, and then pointed it at the door. She do not take well being in the wrong. Not when she just knew she didn't do anything to deserve that.
And after a moment put her leg back down. Instead, she gently open the door, and walk back out to meet all of their resentful stares, and return with one of her own, flaring all over with self-righteousness.

"Oh I had all the ideas how you pepole will be attacked by an extra dangerous force of Grimm. Is it so hard to see your escorts will be as powerful as the toughest packs you expect and then some? You think this is a one-off attack? No it's not, you might think this is an isolated incident, but that is going to last."
"Nobody except maybe yourselves would think this is your fault to be attacked by the Grimm. No it's their fault." Who is meant by this 'their' is left ambiguous on purpose.
"Have we not protected you? Had your escort not stave them off for you? Did we ever say we'd leave you on your own? No. You think that golden man is doing this to you for charity? You are just pawns in his plans and you knew it." Then her voice suddenly turns soft, "We will never abandon you, we will always be here to protect you, from Grimm, from people who want to use you, even if it would take our lives to do it."

With the counter-rant finished she just went back to the group. Nodding in agreement of their evaluation, she opened the comms to Sam and requested for a clean-up team to help them to a city and cover their tracks, since she was told to use them liberally.

"Did you hire any huntsmen? Did they die? Well, I could ask you the same questions regardless." Siu started gathering information from the survivors.

"Are there anything unusual about this attack? Their type, numbers, location, time of day- are they at odds with what you usually encounter?"
"Do you have any idea who would want to see you in harm?"
"Heard any rumor about Grimm attacks being more frequent or more dangerous than usual?"

"You probably got this already, but remember to hire more escorts next time." Siu left a last remark after asking those questions and hopped on their four-wheeler.
"Two options. A, we go and help out each of them, but that means we won't be tracking anybody down by the time we're done. B, we head straight to the shortest plume and hope we can catch the attackers in the act."

"Then I will do coordination." Siu picked her own role as everybody else did as much. "In that case, please keep our ride from being targeted by the horde. Ten or twenty meters out should do. I trust the shotgun is still accurate at that range?" The reason being that the figurative aircraft carrier and command center should naturally be in unquestionable safety. The other reason is that the driver could clearly use some breath-catching.
As the vehicle hopefully got some distance from threats Siu summoned three dragons into existence, feeding them Dust she poured on her palm like they are her pets. Another gets sent straight out and high up in the air getting an overview of the position. She can start from there.
First is pinging everybody with her scroll to establish communication. Then she can get started on reporting Grimm presence to Cerulean, species, number and distance from survivors. For Aurelia, she can report her surroundings to her and she can decide on the best path to move around herself. She does remember that they need to actually grind the horde down, so once her dragons finish feasting on Dust they can start grinding them down.

Inches by inches Cat is getting closer, but the charge in her blade is getting proportionally stronger. It wouldn't matter though, at least if his plan worked, and the closer they are the better. But he isn't rendered completely passive. There's one obvious option here.

Standing only just out of reach, no more than a couple of meters away from the source of instadeath, he raised his hammer, made it a rifle and pulled the trigger aiming at her torso. With less than his rifle's length remaining she would most likely have to block it.

But honestly... while Cat is not out of tricks yet, he feels like something is lacking. It's as if 50% brain power for no reason. What's wrong with this?

Combat stats:
Aura: 62.88(repeating)%
Ammo for Take That!: 15/20 shots of piercing rounds loaded/1 magazine of piercing rounds/1 magazine of explosive rounds/5 shocking rounds/5 heating rounds/5 freezing round
Dust: 0% Fire/100% Earth/25% Lightning/0% Ice
Semblance: 2200 cm^3

Action: Shot to the torso(9%)

"Siu. Siu Ceong." She gave what the driver asked for, clear and concise. Well, not as concise as possible-which Siu noted and makes the effort to maximize information accuracy in her scouting report, which has actual significance to the mission.

"A caravan in the aftermath of a Grimm attack. packs encircle the caravan at range and then another pack hovering around the wreckage. Numbers in the dozens." Siu said as she swiped her hand upwards, directing her dragon upwards to get an overview for the Grimm composition and a guess at the origin of the convoy. That information might be useful in deciding wherever their attack is linked to anybody, especially when matched with the testimony of the survivors. If there are any survivors.

"If we're unlucky they'd be too dead to provide enough information. But just the prospect of having anyone there makes it worth going. Not only because they need saving, but also because of their familiarity with this turf. At worse, we can take a look at their remains and maybe call in the cleanup team to give them a proper burial." Siu took a guessed at Saffron's concern and spelt out an explanation hopefully convincing enough for her. Now she waits after retrieving her dragon, she can't afford to waste Aura for no reason.

This one is not going to be easy to get out of. If she won't allow some distance, then just move the other way and get closer: the closer they are the more each bit of movement is worth. There's another thing he wishes to address with closing in, which is made obvious by the fact that he is wrapping her wires on her hands.

She asked an important question, Cat has almost forgotten about that. What did he fight for? He fought for equality, that people to be treated similarly and viewed only by their accomplishments and not by anything else, most relevantly not by race, sex or age. And if we're being witty, that includes fighting style as well. Or not, since fighting style has a great impact on your build and the proficiency of different attributes that are all important when determining the skills of a huntsman(-in-training). Point is, it doesn't make a world of difference to him whether she respected him with what he had shown. He'll just get to him, and then his more private reason will start to matter. He doesn't plan on telling that to Ayaka though. And he would've loved to tell her all about equality but for now, "I'll answer once I dodge that charged hit of yours."

Siu wore her trademark robes, the one made of silk and that have big long sleeves, making her look just like a mage out of a children's fantasy book. It is also quite comfortable, with little airholes allowing it to 'breathe' which is consistent with the advertisements, perhaps surprisingly. There's only one problem: it is kind of very noticeable.

She did bring her other set of clothes, and those would have been just fine for blending in, and she had no qualms just changing into it on spot, but it is thicker and thus hotter and she figures this wouldn't be a short mission despite being on a clock, so conserving stamina is important.

The summation made by her teammate is not entirely accurate, but she's sure Sam will correct him on that. Instead, Siu plays her usual role of scouting ahead. "Should I send a dragon ahead to check that out?" She asked pointing at the pillars of smoke.

Yeah, figured it wouldn't be that easy. It's ok though, she lost the tip of her wires and her close-up.  Unfortunately, the wires at the sides are still connecting the two of them and prevent him from simply disengaging. Well then, just go the other direction and push for the attack. But Cat would definitely be outmatched by his specialized opponent, so he has to have a plan. He has one.

After dismissing his blanket he took his weapon back out, transformed it to hammer form, then filled it with his ice dust, of course done behind his back. Seeing what could only be a charge in progress, he retreated to the maximum distance the wire allows and focusing to dodge.

Combat stats:
Aura: 62.88(repeating)%

Action: Filling ice dust, backing off

She didn't fall for it. Not bad. Not that Catalina can't get her now, she is still very much in range of Catalina's wires. Then Ayaka jumped, and the silvery tip of the metal wires was stopped in their tracks by a blanket that Cat prepared to trap Ayaka in, one meter long by one meter wide but only 0.025 centimeters thick. The front ones, anyway, and he had to let the ones flung from his sides capture him in the waist. Ignoring that and just running forward, he ran as fast as he can to where she is going to land.
(Snare attempt granted by Xar.)
It turns out she boosted specifically to get ahead of him and she managed to land right outside his reach. However, it doesn't stop him from trying to cover her in the blanket that he had already conjured, electricity still coursing through it. On the other, free hand, Cat took a hold of the wires that were stopped by the blanket.

It is clear that Ayaka fits her place of the quarterfinalist well, she presses like a juggernaut, dodges like the floating leaf and moves with all the spontaneity of a loaded spring. But with the sheer amount of versatility behind him, he is going to make her stay at just that, a quarterfinalist.

Combat stats:
Aura: 62.88(repeating)% (-4.44% from wires; Damage adjusted for lower Aura)
Ammo for Take That!: 15/20 shots of piercing rounds loaded/1 magazine of piercing rounds/1 magazine of explosive rounds/5 shocking rounds/5 heating rounds/5 freezing round
Dust: 0% Fire/100% Earth/25% Lightning/100% Ice
Semblance: 2200 cm^3

Action:
Attempting to snare Ayaka, taking her wires(combined 7% from lightning dust)
