As soon as Smokey crashed through the wall, his triumphant shout was rudely interrupted by two explosions. Someone's gonna pay for that. Fortunately, Mikado is still firmly within Smokey's grip at this point, so any knockback is firmly negated. The improvised delivery system continues as planned, uninterrupted.
However, as Smokey loads the ice dust cartridge into his gun with his now free hand, he overhears something far more distressing: "Amane and Coco, time to kite! Jocelyn, no more than 10% healing on Amane, prioritize longetivity and speedboost both!"
Were they going to try and run away after he had come all this way just for them? Did they seriously think that would sit well with Smokey? Because if they did, Smokey would like to introduce to them 6 more barrels that would politely disagree.
Which is why when Prism aims her gun at Smokey, she'll be staring straight down the barrel of the gun that nearly concussed her a few weeks earlier. Smokey goes for the classic simultaneous shot, aiming to freeze Prism with his newly loaded ice dust and turn her into a sitting duck.
What ultimately happens, though, and probably much more to Smokey's benefit, is that Prism's dust charged bullet collides into the spread of ice dust-filled shot, causing the dust to discharge and the bullet to lose a lot of momentum. The spread, in kind, loses a bit of oomph, but still carries through, and still filled with a nasty bit of ice. If it hits, Prism won't be frozen, but she'll be a bit frosty and a little bit slower. Considering she made the effort to toss BSSM's sniper's hat into the air, Prism may want to avoid that outcome.
Oh yeah, Prism's dust crystal explosion and Jocelyn's shot also hurts, but Smokey's a big boy, he can take it. He's currently much more focused on boy doing his best impression of a whirly-gig. What was his name again?
"HEY CREAMPUFF! WHY DON'T YOU TRY FIGHTING SOMEONE WITH A LITTLE MORE MEAT ON THEIR BONES!" comes a very ominous shout, which would also inadvertently serve as Serin's cue to retreat from down range. Shortly afterwards, like the thunder after lighting, another blast fires from Matchstick, aimed at the swordsman's legs.
