Everywhere Else / Re: A Small, Dark Room [CLOSED]

Abi had entirely blanked through the entire monologue and information just after Trauma and donuts. Blinking as her semblance made an Exclamation Mark Sound effect as she returned to the land of the living after being told to get in her seat. Doing as she was told, she'd hunker back down into the seat she had claimed before and watch the others get ready. As her brain tried recovering the information about the semblances and what they did she'd turn to look at Jane, "So what happens about our clothes? Is it sort of like that whole voices are mental thing where they come with us?

Wiping her mouth after to make sure any crumbs from the cracker weren't stuck on her face when anyone looked at her for the question. She'd loosen the breastplate to let in some of the air, though wearing metal around her constantly had left her feeling sweaty, another self-conscious aspect for her to try and keep under control. Pulling her shoulders inwards towards her chest as a side effect of trying to keep it from showing.

"His jailer, or teammate. Whichever one works on the day really." Being kind enough to her teammate to actually refrain from bringing her elbows up and having Gram learn how to defend himself from suicide, Aoife would just focus on Lucas, not seeing Gram as some kind of threat or anything to be on edge by. "His semblance is he farts really badly. Like. Clears a room grade bad. Pretty sure the bunk next to him has to wear a gas mask to sleep in case he lets one rip in the night and straight up kills them." Shrugging gently, she'd then look down at Gram for half a second to go "The fact that you are never seen around with other people is why I know you're single. That, and you just admitting it."

Abigail smiled at Janken as he responded with the anecdote before moving her hair to accommodate for the full plate helmet, and started removing her left arm's armour. Starting with the Gauntlets, the Vambrace and Couter were taken off as well, only to finally after that move her sleeves up to expose the inside of her elbow. Being halfway to just relaxing until the needle arrived, she'd contemplate it for a few seconds before getting back up and leaving her equipment there, though helmet still on so that she didn't have to adjust that again.

Heading over to the table, she'd inspect the cheese and crackers, before taking a single cracker with her ungloved hand and slipping it under the helmet, lifting it just enough to get it in her mouth, before moving her hand away again, "Thank you for the snack." being said in a distracted tone, glancing over the group once again as she tries to identify what styles everyone fought in exclusively by their appearance, which wasn't going well for her.

As they entered the main entrance, Abigail would make an active effort to try and not be overwhelmed by the sight of everything, not wanting to bring back the unwanted noises. That, and she had little to no clue as to what the machinery all did, and her interest wasn't towards Technology to such a degree. Instead, she'd just head over to the chairs and go to unclip her helmet from her side and stare at it, letting the other questions be asked before raising her voice to ask "Will I be able to wear headgear while we do this mission? Or will we need to wear something which would make that impossible?"
After the question, Abigail would put it to the side as she pulled her shield onto her lap, then place the helmet atop it. Making sure there were no dents or damage to either, it also served to keep her relaxed in the situation, still feeling rather red about the earlier explosion of sound around a bunch of strangers she'll have to work with for the next however long.

As the introductions were done and the eccentric individual had started back inside, the music died down as the tension broke. Her own awkwardness leaving with it, she'd follow silently to let everyone else do the speaking and just relax into listening in to the explanations for the questions. Admittedly, she didn't have any questions, only what they wanted her to do.
That said, she didn't know any of these people. And while it's not as bad for them as it is for the teammates waking up to the sound of horror movie theme song's blasting through the rooms at 3am because of a nightmare. Giving a quick "I apologise for the inconvenience."

As the Doctor finished up and they all had to get in an elevator, she would step inside and bring her equipment as close to herself as possible so people could squeeze in. Though she did have a question pop to her mind. "Have there been any incidents involving the Grimm on the location? Should we keep our gear with us, or put it in storage somewhere to get back later?" After that, she'd adjust the straps on her shield, not wanting them too tight until they had recovered from the cold of the outside world.

Abigail had seen the advert entirely by accident. Having been scanning the area, the near illegible colour of the advert had offended her eyes enough that with what words she had worked out, she was intrigued enough to go up to it and actually read it. Intrigued by the prospect, Abigail had signed up for it. Now however, she was regretting wearing her armour or going to somewhere cold enough that the plates ached to touch. Helmet off as she looked over Diligence & Vigilance to ensure they were ready. A glance out the window would've alerted her that they were nearing the landing pad, then a glance at the others who were accepted. A flash of concern crossed her face at the lone faunus, though it vanished when the line about positive attitudes from the ad came back to her.

As the doors opened and disgorged the four of them, Abigail made sure her shield was strapped to her right arm, sword was in its sheath, and her helmet was firmly attached. Of course, the fact that they were heading towards the main objective so to speak, caused Lietmotif to activate, the sounds of cellos and violins ominously playing as her face showed some embarrassment as she quickly succumbed to the cold winds. Reaching up with her left hand, she'd go to move and keep her hair in place over her left ear to keep it from freezing off, or at least feeling like it would. Silence, other than the unhelped and uncontrolled music, was all that she gave to the introductions. Not out of rudeness, but out of the fact she could barely hear over the wind, music and having one ear closed off.

Abi is up for it, and all the Fancy shenanigans if you'll take them. :D

As Calen speaks after her attempt to undermine Gram, she'd glance up at him, twitching at the name as she moved behind Gram to wrap her arms around his neck, the arms being warm to the touch as she uses a bit more of her semblance, flickers of orange criss-crossing the upper arms like twinkling lights or fireflies on speed. While she didn't get the response from Gram that she wanted, the night was still early and making him uncomfortable wasn't too hard. Looking at the group, while she didn't know anything about this lantern or had ever seen the other two. But she knew about Gram's' glove, and while she lacked Love's Bite, she felt comfortable enough with what she could do until she could summon it with the fancy lockers Beacon had.

"Back up date? Smokey would be lucky to get a pet, never mind anything bipedal. Besides, I assumed one of you was his date."
Eyebrow slowly arching as she eyed the pair, she'd finally add on a quick, "Or is this something off an app? Local Singles in your area meetup or something?"

Having been curious about her teammates sudden disappearance, Aoife had been quite the stalker when she saw him head into 'The Dish' and sit by himself. Fangs showing as she cracked a smile, she would skulk away back to their dorm and get changed. What's life without a little fun? Putting on her best set of nightclub attire and wearing makeup despite the fact it had recently rained and was still rather humid. Not too long later, she would return to the bar and spot him with two others. Once again beaming at the situation in front of her, she'd enter the place. While not wearing anything too revealing, it was very far from any form having any form of ability to keep the heat in, or to protect against the rain. Keeping herself warm and dry with periodic uses of her semblance, Aoife would enter the bar and try to keep a low profile until she was behind Gram. Or at least, as low a profile as one can keep while wearing what she was wearing in a busy pub.

""I uh... I don't think I ever talked for hours about anything but I enjoy sciences, biology and a bit of arts, I guess?""

That was her cue. Bouncing forwards while Lucas talks, once he finished she'd go to try and wrap her arms around his neck from behind and steal a pink lipstick'd kiss on his right temple, afterwards moving her mouth to next to his ear to say loud enough for them all to hear, "You can study my biology all night if you want, Gram."
Positively beaming as she pulls away to laugh, she'd wait to see if she got the reaction she wanted. That being for him to squirm and panic at the sudden flush of embarrassment from receiving a public display of affection. Though, torment would be more of an apt description than affection since she knew he was already a massive introvert from their time together as teammates.

Beacon Academy / Re: [Open] Breakfast At Bacon

Turning to look at the third member, she'd drop the smirk and raise a brow, aiming a gesture to him punctuated with a streak of flame, "I can hug a pig with my semblance if you're feeling cold. Didn't even know you had a sense of smell, with your horrific smell." After the display, she'd fold her arms, eyebrows furrowed and looking ever so slightly annoyed. Though if it was a show or not was up in the air.
"Anyway. What is the plan. Are we going to loiter around at Beacon and do training, go to study or...?" She'd then give off another flicker of flame to ensure their attention was on her, if only briefly. Using the sudden appearance of colour and heat in their proximity to hopefully do so.

Immediately swallowing what was already in her mouth, Aoife would take the ice cubes to put them in her mouth and start crunching on them, she'd move one of them under her canine to start audibly chomping and scraping it to fragment it. Ensuring at least the first cube to be destroyed was down her throat, she'd move the remaining shards into her cheeks like a hamster to quickly add, "The uniform is too stuffy. I can't properly breathe in it as it gets too warm. Though, I am always up for training when the sleepy one joins us. Or if we find a fourth member. Besides, Nevermores are like, eaasy."  Going back to caress her spear she'd then look it over, "Oh! And you're boring to fight. All you have to do is like, use Fire a few times, then you are like oh nooo, I can't jump any more. Let's quit." Continuing to torment the teammate even as the dog faunus moved over, she'd periodically glance at the cold looking Faunus and slowly develop a smug smile while looking at Ayburn knowingly.

"I can make it a literal barbed wire and spit roast. Just get me the wire." Was a rather expected response, no actual malice in the retort though that would chiefly been known as he had dealt with her for two years. "You're learning. You didn't make a fish reference, you bamboo eater."  Stopping to play with the spear once again so she could devour another good portion of the sandwich, she'd adjust her top to allow more airflow, letting out a rather exasperated "It's too hot. Can you have a good semblance? Like making a permanent blizzard or something? I mean. Sure, it isn't fart smells like a certain lazy person. But still. It has like no good usages, except gathering ice. But I don't think there's any in the immediate vicinity."

Letting out a loud groan, she'd punctuate it with a flash of semblance, emitting a few centimeters worth of flame from her lips to give the impression of breathing fire. "Wait. Do you have Ice rounds? Can you like shoot at something and get me some ice for me to chomp on?"  Finally turning her attention to him and not resuming her baton act, she'd look at him expectantly, eyes periodically flashing away to keep check of anything moving in their general vicinity to register what it was, before turning back.

Beacon Academy / [Open] Breakfast At Bacon
« on: February 13, 2019, 12:18:17 PM »
It was early morning at Beacon with a winter chill in the air, the grounds sparsely populated by students who were on their own way to the various sections of the Academy or heading towards the main city.  Hanging around the sparring area after walking from the dorms, Aoife would be a clothed and armoured twirling her spear around absentmindedly as she held a bacon sandwich in her mouth. Launching the weapon up into the air like a baton, she'd grab hold of the sandwich to take a large chunk out and start chewing it. Swallowing with a little effort as it gets stuck, she'd then grab the spear and plant it tip first into the ground, speaking to the Panda teammate who had made the sandwich, she'd go,  "You know, you're not entirely terrible at making these. I'd probably make better if I put effort into it, but these will pass."
After the rather haughty remark, she'd go to kick the spear out of the ground and upwards, moving her hand down the shaft to start spinning and twirling it again, shoving the sandwich back into her mouth so she had both hands available, every so often her mouth moving in an instant to acquire a better grip of the sandwich and to positively inhale it so she could prepare for another large chomp.

Yeah. Scrawny Aoife is somewhat intended. Though did bump it up as it was a bit more than I was originally thinking (Damn you Imperial System xD)  :)

Added changes (Sorry for taking about several years.) :D Additions are to Personality, Semblance & Combat Behavior. I also added about the Ears. (As while it would be absolutely edgy for her to have no ears at all, it was more me writing it up while distracted XD)
If there's anything I've managed to mess up with the additions, go ahead and shout at me. I've not made a character since 2017 or so, and I am exceptionally rusty. :D
