The general premise has been brought up in the discord channel but I will go over it here as well as handle recruitment (In a dastardly plot to get more people to post on the forum).

So we have previously discussed the idea of having a soft reboot tied with some changes to the board, but we haven't really set anything in stone on what or how. Rather than getting stuck in the minutiae of what that could entail for the board, characters, and the world I propose we have a soft soft reboot. We will make no changes to the site infrastructure, setting, or anything like that. The focus here is to get people to post, to achieve that goal I propose that we focus on setting up first-year beacon teams as they are by far the most popular characters, and have an easy first thread plot hook in the form of initiation (Describe your characters landing strategy, run around and kill some grimm, meet up with teammates, kill more grimm, find something. Easy plot with no need to plan anything). To simplify setting up these teams we will pretty much ignore any previously established character lore, hence reboot.

Requirements
1. Your character needs to have a profile on the site.
However, as many of us will want to update characters they don't have to be fully approved, as long as they are in Character Editing or Character Creation they can be used to facilitate some speed (and in case approvals are slow since you know we haven't done them in a while)
2. Your character is being rebooted (ish).
Outside of their team we aren't being overly strict about this, however the point is just to help facilitate story elements. If your character has been influenced by a previous thread or has an important relationship with another character no one is going to stop you from keeping that canon, but too much of that could bog things down.
3. You are okay with getting discord pings.
Now I don't want to be spammed on discord anymore than the rest of you, but a simple message in a group chat to say "I posted, it's X turn now" and potentially a ping if they haven't posted in say 3 days, is perfectly reasonable.
4. Post the elevator pitch of your character here (this will count as recruitment).
This doesn't have to be much, just the broad strokes of the characters personalty and combat style (Mainly so we can avoid having a team where everyone is an anti-social sniper)

Sidenote: I am just making up these requirements and using "we" so it sounds more official. I would 100% welcome input on these points. 

Based on the interest in the discord thread we will likely need more than one team, however, if we are lacking enough players to fill two teams then I will be happy to be on both teams (with different characters), and will gladly open that option to others as well. Once this has been up for a week or two I figure we will start to look at what teams could be made both in terms of characters and potentially names, but we will get to that when we get to it.

I'm planning to put forward Diana Farran, though I will be making some minor updates to her profile.
In terms of combat, she is more focused on ranged using a rifle and dust, and has a support semblance that can help heal or recover aura. Personality-wise she is a bit awkward but highly empathic.

I will also sign up Bastet Nin as a backup if we need more characters to fill a team.
She is a melee focus brawler that can teleport to her weapon, allowing her a lot of mobility. Her personality is certainly more boisterous with an emphasis on creativity, if she manages to stay interested.

I'm gonna go with Nathan on this one to literally nobody's surprise. He's still my most fleshed out character and hasn't ever been (iirc) involved in any plot that made it into changes on the sheet, so he'd be pretty much good to go as-is.
As far as combat is concerned, he's more of a jack--of-all-trades than anything else, though he's inexperienced in extremely close CQC (think grapple mechanics) and has very minimal long-range potential. Depressingly well-rounded, mixes power, mobility and slight resilience.
Personality-wise, he is the most boring man in the world and decidedly asocial (to be clear, that means he is not one to go towards others first or feel the need to go towards others in basically all cases, but isn't adverse to social interaction at all). Shit at non-verbal/non-written communication. If an overcast sky could take on human form this'd be it.

Signing up with Ferra. She's a kind-hearted badass. Her semblance allows her to summon floating hands that she uses to carry many, many guns. The most wholesome tank around. (Might use Iris or Cloe too.)

I'll throw in Yasha Krasny, who is an NPC character I made.  I will de-age him and redo his background over time.  Not even sure if he's even going to be a faunus, but besides that, his abilities and equipment will more or less the same, in less advanced form.

I'll put in Lilith Kaiser, a rework of a rework of an older character; just working on the character sheet now.

Lilith is a close to mid range fighter with a focus on shock tactics and single-target combat. She uses a set of power armour in CQC (her primary focus) and a rather over-calibered assault rifle as her weapons of choice. She has secondary specialisations in adaptability and high-level demolitions through her semblance, though using it results in a reduction in her capability for strategy.

She's also a bit of a socially-maladapted derp.

I'm still alive? Holy shit.

Thinking of tossing Lavender du Lac into this mess. A flowing swift moving vanguard who prefers the front lines with her spear/shield/swordwhip combos.

Might think of throwing in Ayaka Miyamoto if I can handle it. Rapid Nodachi/Katana user who prefers limiting their opponents' movements with both aura strikes and wires.

Okay and with that we have 12 characters, aka 3 teams.
So think recruitment will close there for now, and now we just need to look into who would make good teams.

Is there a character that you think would work well with yours, or just a character/player you want to play with then feel free to say so here.

Edit: Actually to facilitate this slightly (so it doesn't take several weeks) I'll send each of you a discord message directly, all requests might not be possible but having something to start with will speed it up significantly.

You mentioned on discord that one spot had reopened so I thought i might as well apply.

Cyrus Blaze is a highly mobile and aggressive front line fighter which combine to set up a furious assault few can withstand. Cyrus however lacks the endurance to go all out for long.

Personality wise he is a punk rocker filled with teenage anger, with all the positives and negatives that go a long with that.

Opening the recruitment for more people now that the threads all seem to be going well.

Rather than waiting to try to make multiple teams the plan is just to make a team of the first four that sign up.

Camelia.
Highly specialized in CQC and tanking, doesn't particularly favour strength, toughness or dexterity. Her semblance is however very versatile and can serve for anything from crowd control to moving inordinate amounts of mass towards a target.
As far as personality goes, she's very nice and fairly open-minded, communicative and caring. She also has extreme self-confidence and isn't afraid of confrontation, although she won't seek it. Impulsive.
