Years ago, Merletta Yoru's team, SMKE, graduated from Beacon and began work as a team. Eventually the team took on more serious missions and inevitably broke up. While every member went off to do their own work, two members, Merletta Yoru and Samantha Banshee, kept together. After Sam's untimely death, Merletta retreated into her own world. Now, after years of solitude, an old friend from her past reappears in connection to a string of assassinations that looked all to familiar to her team's old tactics. Merletta has taken it upon herself while reluctantly accepting help from others, to find her old teammate and find out if he is involved.

How much "older" are we talking here, out of curiosity?
I have Alec (http://rwby-rpg.rwbyfanon.com/index.php/topic,1106.msg13783.html#msg137833) as an option, but he's got a good few decades on Merletta (and is mostly a background character, if I'm being honest). I also have Budonoki (http://rwby-rpg.rwbyfanon.com/index.php/topic,1233.msg15454.html#msg15454), who'd be more suitable (but hasn't been accepted just yet was just accepted).
If you're willing to bring on a hired gun then Micah (http://rwby-rpg.rwbyfanon.com/index.php/topic,1154.msg14382.html#msg14382) would be a good choice, though I should mention he's... morally ambiguous in his best moments. Interestingly enough, he has a smoke Semblance very similar to Merletta's -- that alone suggests these two would have an interesting dynamic. Cordell (http://rwby-rpg.rwbyfanon.com/index.php/topic,1073.msg13235.html#msg13235), while a bit on the younger end (at least compared to Merletta), is significantly more trustworthy and comes with a badass airship to boot!
Lemme know who you think is best suited and I'll jump into the mix with this. ;D

Im hesitant to put saffron down for another one of your threads but im interested. I think lack of interest is to do with most senior students being involved in your other plot but ill point a few towards it.

I'm not sure if the age is too low, but I think Justice would be an interesting fit for this thread. Especially with a group of morally ambiguous characters.
