The sun shone down on the fields of Beacon. In the park nearby students were out and about enjoying the wonderful weather after having been stuck inside for the past few days due to a heavy rain storm. Under one of the large trees lays a girl with her eyes closed and a book laying open next to hear having fallen out of her hands when she dozed off. Celeste's wings were neatly nestled against her back. It was a wonderful day.

There were almost no clouds in the sky which could prevent the sun from shining down on all beacon. It was great to have the sun out after all the rain in the past few days. Just like a lot of different sudents, Kisha also was out enjoying the good weather. She sat on a rather big branch of on of the many tress of the little park, back resting on its bole. She simply sat there, looking around the area, watching birds fly around in the sky or just enjoy the sun, shining through the leaves of the tree at her face.
Kisha grabbed her backback and took out a water bottle. She just opended it and wanted to take a sip as suddenly a squirrel burst through the top of the tree, running down of it next to her. The sudden outcome caused her to drop the bottle, which fell on the person under her. Kisha wince as she heard the bottle emtying on the poor girls head, which just seemed to have taken a quick nap. Kisha wanted to apologize, but when she saw the drenching face of the dove faunus, she couldn't help it, and started laughing.
"Oh my.. pfff. oh my god, hahah, I´m sorry- hahha- I´m just- " she started but couldn´t bring out another word

Not having realized she had fallen asleep made waking up to a bottle of water falling and emptying on her head a lot more surprising. Sitting up quickly, Celeste said, "Whaa what was that? Huh?". Looking down she noticed the bottle and around she noticed the girl dressed in brown. "What's so funny? Shaking her wings out, Celeste gently used her semblance to fly up to Kisha, "Celeste Izusa," she introduced herself as she reached out her hand.

Kisha stopped her laughing and stared at the girl flying infront of her "Wow! So you can actally fly with those wings? That's so cool! I wish I could fly!" It took her a few seconds to realize that she forgot to introduce herself. "Kisha Miles" she replyed and shook her hand.
"So... uhmm... Sorry again, the bottle just started to have a mind of his own" Kisha said, making weird hand gestures while doing so.
A fey seconds of silence went by.
"Oh" She started. A blueish circle formed next to her side, from which a book flew ou. Kisha easely caught it and held it out to Celeste "That's yours right? At least it didn't get wet

Settling down on a branch, Celeste responded, "It is nice to meet you Kisha. I can only fly using my semblance." Picking up her book, Celeste set it down in her bag and finding a comfortable position to sit on the branch asked Kisha, "I am a first year student. I figured today was a nice day to come out side, read, and make friends."

Kisha's eyes light up and she clapped her hands together in excitement "I'm a first year too! Annnnnnnd, because we know each others name and we're sitting on the same branch, we're officially frinds now!"
With a big smile on her face, Kisha waited for an response. It wasn't something new fo her, that she was overeager and hyperactive, but she often forgot that the person next to her meet her for the first time and weren't used tohave somebody like this arround

Smiling, Celeste replied, "Friends, I'd love to be your friend Kisha." Giggling, she glanced out at the rest of the park. "So why does you cloths say Schoko?"

After finishing classes for the day, Smokey decided to take advantage of the clear weather by getting in some extra training in. Heading out in full gear, he decided to do laps around the park to help his endurance and agility, things he'll need to compensate for while carrying two large weapons in the field.
'Twenty laps oughtta do it' Smokey thought to himself as he stretched. But as he warmed up, he spied an empty bottle next to a tree...and not in the trash can just a few yards away. Grumbling to himself, Smokey marched over to the bottle to put it where it belongs when overheard some giggling. He looked up to see two girls sitting in the tree.
"Oi! This yours?" Smokey shouted up, pointing to the bottle on the ground. He was visibly annoyed.

"Oh, that's my nickname! One of my friends gave it to me some time ago. It means chocolate and- oh, wait a second" Kisha stopped herself and started to dig around in her backpack. After a few seconds she pulled out a blue box "Do you want some? One of my teammates is in love with those. It's funny, when we first meet he almost ate all of them, uhm, anyway, here you go!"
She opend the box to reviel two different kinds of chocolates "The ones on the right are filled with caramel and the other ones whit a nut cream. I made too many, Nathan won't have anything against it if you take some"
Befor anything else could happen somebody, under the tree caught their attention.
"Oh, I totally forgot about it, sorry!"

Smiling, Celeste reaches out and took a nut cream chocolate and quietly ate it. Glancing down at the newcomer she asked, "Why are you carrying so much gear on a wonderful day? Take it off and relax with us." Slipping off the branch and floating down to the ground in front of Smokey she picks up the bottle and tosses it into the trash can. "Take off all that gear, all you will do if you run around in all that gear is tire yourself out and waste this beautiful weather." Hoping back up into the tree she smiles down at Smokey and says, "Plus with all that heavy gear on you can't climb up here."

Smokey shifted his attention to the girl in the-- wait, is that a guinea pig hoodie? He cocked his head to the side and was about to comment on it before the other girl spoke up and floated down in front of him.
"Take off all that gear, all you will do if you run around in all that gear is tire yourself out and waste this beautiful weather."
"That's rich comin' from the ones wasting the day in that tree. Do ya know how long it's been since we had good weather like this? You two should get...some...exercise...too" Smokey trailed off as the girl who floated down proceeded to fly back up into the tree. 'Stupid mobility semblances' he mumbled under his breath.
"Plus with all that heavy gear on you can't climb up here."
Oh, that was a challenge if he ever heard one. 'No it's wan't, Smokey, calm down,' he said to himself, making sure to keep his cool. Taking a moment to think about it, though, getting better at climbing over difficult obstacles could come in handy in the field. Perhaps climbing would do some good for him.
"I can't, can I? Well why don't we just see about that," Smokey said confidently, as he strode up to the tree and began to climb. And he definitely made an effort. He almost made it to the first branch before sliding back down the tree and on to his rump.

Watching Smokey try to climb the tree in all his gear, Celeste couldn't help but laugh. Giggling she replied to his comment about getting exercise, "But why work when you can play? We practice every day but it isn't every day you can relax like this." Turning to Kisha, Celeste asked, "You have any more of those chocolates that was really yummy? You said you made them? I'd love the recipe. I LOVE cooking we should make some stuff together sometime."

"She's right, chill out for once! You look like somebody who could really need it! Kisha than turned to Celeste "We should totally do that! We just need to ask if we can use the kitchen of the academy, a few days befor we actally do it, they won't let us in otherwise.
Kishas attention shiftet to the boy which fell down to is rump the second time. Wait a second" Kisha said to Celeste befor jumping down the tree. She landed without any problems and stood now right infront the boy "Name's Kisha"
With that short Introduction she grabbed both of the boys hands "Now stop being so grumpy down here and get up and have some fun"

'I'm gonna figure this out, darn it' Smokey grumbled under his breath. He just couldn't seem to get enough grip on the tree to hold him up, and it was starting to frustrate him. It didn't help that two girls were giggling at him. Honestly, he probably should leave before his frustrations got the better of him, and he was about to get up and walk off when one of the girls, the one with the hoodie, dropped right in front of him and grabbed his hands in an attempt to pull him up.
A little bit out of spite, but mostly a knee-jerk reaction, Smokey activated his semblance and anchored himself to the ground. He watched, amused, as the girl named Kisha struggled to lift Smokey to his feet, her own heels digging in the dirt.
"I'm not grumpy, I'm having loads of fun. Here, maybe you'd understand if you saw things from my perspective," he said right before deactivating his semblance and deftly removing his hands from Kisha's grasp. Just as when someone pulls on a taut rope that suddenly goes slack, Kisha stumbled backward and landed on her rear in the grass.
Chuckling, Smokey stood up and dusted himself off before offering a hand to the girl. "My name's Smokey. Smokey Emberstone."

Kisha looked up and gave Smokey a smirk, accepting the challange, befor a blueish circle formed under his feet. The boy with the ash-colored hair let out a startled noise as he fell right through the portal and landed on the branch next to Celeste "I wounl't stand up if I were you! The balance problems will be gone in a few minutes or so"
After saying that, Kisha replaced the portal on the branch were Celeste and Smokey sat to the branch over them. She swiftly jumped into the protal and landed on the branch. Holding on to the branch with her legs, she let her upper body hang down, facing those two.

Sandy strode through the park with a grin as Vale finally had some decent weather. It felt so weird to not be thankful for the rain when it came but he was just ecstatic for warmth. It was so warm he was even able to go without his coat. As he walked through the park his attention snapped to a blue light that two people promptly fell through. "what the hell!" Sandy ran over to where the light came from and looked around in a slight panic before he kicked on his semblance and found the two in a tree above him. "damn. that's a cool semblance."

"Thanks, though I wounldn't recomment going through them. Anyway, I'm Kisha! Want to join us up here?"
Kisha, still hanging upside down waved in the direction the newcomer stood. It may could get a bit crowded up in the tree, but there sure was enough room for one more person. She than looked to Celeste and Smokey You're okay with that, right?

"Of course, the more the merrrier," Celeste relied. Looking over at Smokey she said, "Nice of you to join us up here. Now isn't this better than just running around for no reason?" Winking at Smokey, Celeste moved to a comoftable position and looked down at the new arrival, "Come on up! I'm betting coming up on your own is better than going up with Kisha's semblance."

Sandy grinned up at the group. "sure. why not?" he inclined a hand towards the tree trunk and a grappling line fired into it at roughly the height of the other's heads rapidly pulling Sandy up to meet it. Instead of then moving onto the branch Sandy braced his inward foot against the trunk and simply hung facing the group.

"...Wha...?" Smokey sat, stunned, in the tree. He fell, but he's in a tree. ...Did he just fall up? Did gravity glitch? It wasn't until Kisha jumped through the portal that he understood what actually happened.
'Stupid mobility semblances' grumbled Smokey once again. Sure, climbing a tree is a cinch when you can just fly or open portals, but isn't that cheating? What about those of us who don't get the ability to defy gravity, huh?
And as if on cue, a newcomer walks up, some sort of dog faunus, and proceeds to use a grappling hook to latch himself to the tree with the rest of the group. "That's cheating, too," Smokey said dejectedly. He tried to think of a way to shake the three others out of the tree, but he was out of luck. One can fly, one can just hop through portals, and the other is secured by a mechanical device.
Left with no options, Smokey crossed his arms and sat in the tree with sour look on his face.

"Oh come on, Mr. Grumpy, just have some fun with us!"
Kisha started to poke around in Smokeys face. While doing so she turned to the dog faunus "So, what's your name? I think I already told you mine,
but just in case, I'm Kisha Miles! Kisha, who still hung upside town offered him a hand "Oh, and by the way, you can have some of the chocolates in the box"
She pointet with her free hand at the blue box on Celestes lap "The ones on the right are filled with caramel and the other ones whit a nut cream."

"So, you are stuck here with us might as well enjoy it. I mean you are in a tree with two pretty girls on a nice day, why so grumpy?" Celeste says to Smokey while tossing another chocolate in her mouth. Hearing Kisha offer the newcomer chocolate, she leans over and offers the box to Sandy.

Smokey opened his mouth to snap at the girls, but quickly shut his mouth. He took a long slow breath to collect his composure. These people aren't trying to provoke him, they're trying to get him to relax. They're doing terribly, but they're trying. He took another breath and pinched his brow before finally speaking up.
"Alright, first of all, I told you my name. It's Smokey. You call me Mr. Grumpy again, I might shoot something," he threatened, gesturing to his revolver. It was a bluff, he didn't actually have any live ammo on him, instead simulating the weight with a few sand bags under his coat. Carrying around that much dust and ammunition for mere physical training was pointless and basically just asking to lose it. But dammit, people should stop calling him grumpy! It's only gonna make him grumpier.
He turned his attention to the winged girl who'd been, as far as Smokey was concerned, making fun of him since she laid eyes on him. "Second, since you've finally got me up in this tree, you mind telling me your name?" He looked at the other man, who had secured himself to the tree. "You, too, I guess."

"Oh sorry about that. My name is Celeste Izusa," Celeste replied popping another chocolate in her mouth. Jumping to another tree branch, she sat down and asked Smokey, "Why are you dressed so heavily and angry?"

At the offer of chocolates Sandy reached out to try and grab one with his other grappling hook. Fortunately the box was moved closer to him before he tried, likely preventing a disaster in the form of the whole box winding up on the ground. "Thanks. my name's Sandy, though I usually just go by Sand." With introductions out of the way sandy threw the chocolate into his mouth. "damn this stuff is great."

Kisha finally swung up again and looked at the other three from the branch above “So, now that we all know each others name, let's do something together! How about 'a truth, two lies'? It's an easy game, you tell three stories of your live, but only one of them is true. The others have to guess the right story and if they do, they get a ponit.

"I'm not angry!" Smokey snapped, then he immediately realized he snapped and promptly snapped his mouth shut. He took another deep breath, before calmly asserting, "I'm not angry. And as I said before, I was trying to get some conditioning in, hence why I'm wearing all this armor. Don't you realize how long its been since we've had good weather like this?"
He turned to look at Kisha, who had swung up on another branch and made the suggestion to play a game. Smokey sighed, it looked like he was stuck here for the time being. He'll get training in some other time. "Sure, why not?" he said resignedly as he shifted his weight to a more comfortable position.

"Okay that sounds fun," Celeste said. Looking over at Kisha, "Why don't you start?"

So, first story happend when I was 8. My grandparents took me to an grimm park. They had some grimm looked up in cages and visitors could look at them. It wasn't a big deal, there where Huntsmen everywhere, so nobody had any worries. However, when we were about to leave, on of the grimm actually escaped. The Huntsmen took him down, but we still was in shook for a few hours and the park was closed the same day.
Oke, second. I was in the kitchen, backing, when I accidentally threw the flour off the counter. I tried to catch it put I somehow created a loob. You know, a loob" Kisha stopped herself. She created two portals, facing each other and took out an apple, she had in her bag. She threw the apple in the lower portal, only to see it come out the upper on, and falling down into the lower one again. That repeating infinitely. "that's a loob. Now, where was I, Oh yeah, She continuat, not caring about the apple which was still caught in the loob. "The flour I threw of the counter was opend and when it was caught in the loob, it didn't stopped twirling. Flour was everywhere, the walls, door, ceiling. My grandparents came to check out what was wrong and when they opend the door, they were meet with an ton of flour right to the face. You can't imagine how much trouble I was in.
Oke, last one. My friends and I played hide and seek in a really big area. But be didn't know that it was private property. One of our friends was sent home from the owner, but we didn't know that. So we searched, and searched, and searched, but we coulndn*t find her. After hours of searching we just sit there and cried, untill the owner of the property found us and told us that he send our fried away"
And whit that she stopped. "So, which one is true?"

Smokey took a few seconds to contemplate the stories. He was pretty sure he knew which one was the truth as soon as he heard it, but there wasn't any harm in thinking things through. Acting on impulse got him in trouble more often than not.
The first story's almost definitely false. Big, scary monsters bent on the destruction of humanity? Sure, let's bring them into the city for public viewing, that can't possibly go wrong. It's not like Huntsmen and Huntresses have anything better to do besides babysit a bunch of gawkers. Smokey mentally crossed that story off the list
That leaves the second and third story. They're both more realistic than the first one, but the third one had a few inconsistencies. Why did the property owner take so long to find the other kids? Did any of them have scrolls? It just felt like if Smokey changed one detail, that story falls apart completely. And going by that logic, the only option is....
"I'll say the second story," Smokey sighed.

"well. the first one is clearly bullshit and the second one is taken so I'll take the 3rd" Sandy replied to the group after Smokey had already beaten him to the most likely story. Then his attention was drawn to the apple that was now moving at terminal velocity. "uuhhh. should we do something about that before it hurts someone?" Before a response Sandy decided to do something himself by firing his spare hook into the "loob" hoping to catch the apple and pull it out.

"Number two is right. Okay, maybe it was a bit too easy for the start but let's see what you got. Smokey, you're next
Befor Kisah could say anything else, something fly by, right next to her. Sandys weapon was fired into the loop. The lower portal sucked the hook in and it dangled out of the upper one. Sadly, Sandy didn’t achieved to catch the apple, but he managed to throw the apple out of the loob,. The apple flew a second befor making contact with Kishas forehead. "Owch, hey, you could have warned me" she said with big puppy eyes, while rubbing the spot where the apple hit her.

"Wait, what?" Smokey started, "Me? But--ah, whatever." Smokey contemplated for a moment.
"Alright, first, I'm from Mantle. Second, my father's a tailor. He's actually the on that made my coat." Smokey paused for a moment to direct attention to his clothing before continuing. "And lastly, my semblance makes me really heavy."
Smokey finished by resting his hands behind his head and leaning back against the tree, awaiting his acquaintances' response.

"Well with that much armor a semblance that makes you heavy wouldn't do much," Celeste laughed, "I'll guess that your from Mantle."

Kisha took a second to think. When she tried to lift Smokey up the tree, she couldn't move him an inch. But he keeps mumbling about stupid mobility semblances, so maybe his semblance isn't just making him heavy. Next one would be his dad being a tailor. There wasn't much you can say about that, besides that he made his coat. But something just felt of about this fact. I'm going with Celeste and say your from Mantle.

"oh shit. sorry about that." Sandy apologized with a sheepish smile as he accidentally propelled an apple into Kisha's head. Then he turned his focus to Smokey and the exercise at hand. Discerning the truth "they do know if we all guess something different one of us is guaranteed to be correct right? "That's a shit semblance mate. Then again I know a guy who had an even worse one so I'd believe it."

Smokey furrowed his brow slightly. He thought it would've been harder for them. "Sorry, Sand, but if my semblance did anything to my weight, it would actually make me lighter. That's not all it does, mind you, more like a side effect," he explained. "The truth is that I'm actually from Mantle."
"I guess that means you're up next," he looked at Celeste, expectantly.

"Hm... well I am from a wealthy family that makes technology, I fight with a large gun, and I am part of the White Fang, She says with a wink. Good luck guessing which is true."

"Now, that’s easy! I say your from a wealthy family! There is no way you could be a member of the white fang and just talk about it that freely. And only a few people would refere to their weapon as just 'a large gun'." Kisha said and then looked at the others to see their response

Smokey looked at Celeste and did a quick up-down. Kisha blurted out everything Smokey was thinking, already. No major detective work needed on this one.
"I'll take option number one as well," Smokey stated.

"Yeah. White Fang is bullshit. I'll try large gun then."
