Lilly needs a team. She is a headstrong team based fighter who loves to dance.

Finally an opening for a third-year team in Beacon!
I have a character that also moved from Shade to Beacon for his third year, a bit of an antisocial and know-it-all, not interested in being the leader of a team.
He prefers to fight on his own, but actually, he would really benefit from good teamwork (because of a very complicated and dangerous semblance).

If you're willing to wait until she's approved, I have Jima Purpora (http://rwby-rpg.rwbyfanon.com/index.php?topic=1380.0), a Grimm-obsessed Beacon 3rd Year in need of a team!

If this becomes a team we would have four close-range fighters, with limited ranged options but good versatility overall. In terms of semblances, we would have a sensory ability which can also be used to coordinate the battlefield, an elemental semblance useful to stun big targets or obliterate many small ones, a decoy semblance very useful to distract the target or have an extra hand, and a heavy damaging semblance that needs a bit of time to charge. All in all a very good combo if we can coordinate properly.
The downside would be the absolute lack of someone capable of taking hits, given that all the characters are quick and rely on dodges and fast hits. Which means that if even one of use is beaten and needs protection the entire formation collapses because there is no one capable of providing a good defense (my character can at most buy some time).

can we get out initials to spell glas cause it is a glass cannon but sounds fun. i would put Lilly up for leader if that makes sense.

I don't mind, my character is a bit bossy but doesn't want to be a leader anyway.

Wouldn't really have any complaints frankly, Jima's priorities are a little skewed when it comes down to fighting. I'm don't know if we could get the name GLAS, as nobody has a G initial in their name though. Also, when it comes down to team names, I've had approximately one food-based idea that's a little too silly to be seriously considered:
Team JMMS (Jimmies, like the sprinkle) - Jima Purpora, Lilly Meier, Morgan Treehouse, Suntalia Lyn Ryker

So, let's just get the initials out so it's easier to see:
L / M
J / P
M / T
S / L / R
I'm alright with Lilly being the leader. Suntalia is DEFINITELY not leader material, but is a good support to one.
As for team names, here's what I could come up with:
MJST - Majestic (or Majesty)
MMPR - Morph
MMPL - Maple
PLSM - Plasma
PSTL - Pastel
PLLT - Platinum
TMPL - Temple
We can start there for now. If we do go with Lilly being the team captain and if we still want to keep to the Canon and have the team captain's initial come first, then that limits us to anything that starts with L or M. Let me know what you guys think.

Team MJST, Team PLSM, and Team PLLT are all my preferences, and team MJST works well if we'd like to stick with the naming traditions.

So, while we think about the team name, if we four are to become one, how about we discuss a bit about the background? I mean 2 out of 4 are transfer students, so why does this team forms? The other two members were previously part of other teams? Was there a surplus of students? Should we do a mission together to get to know each other or would a simple open thread be better to start things off? What do you think?
Ps. Jjb how should we handle our two characters, since the quest in Mountain Glenn seems to have somehow stopped? Do they know each other already or do we start anew?

I'm thinking that the other two members transferred from their old team for different reasons, which is how they were brought together onto this team. My vote is for us to do a team mission together, which we can use to get to know each other. If not, we can always do a simple scene at the Academy as an opener. I've done a thread where we formed a new team and had a simple sparring match in the Beacon Colosseum to get to know each other. That would work also if you guys want.
As for Mogan and Suntalia, seeing that the other thread died, I would say that we just start anew.
We do still need to figure out what team name we want to go for. Any thoughts? Also, thanks Nathan for the link!

The team being assembled like that works well for me, and a mission somewhere to start things off sounds fun. And when it comes down to it, the names that both SerAnd and I both liked were team PLSM and PLLT - all we need is feedback from Kayla.

Mhm, I too would prefer a mission for the entertainment value, but doesn't it seem odd that a newly formed team is immediately sent on a mission? For the sake of consistency, I suggest we do first a thread to get to know each other or the sparring session. We can always do all the missions we want after that.
Ps. JJb do you by any chance know why the Mountain Glenn thread died? I tried to contact Monster but I haven't received a reply...

So if nobody has any objects - Team Plasma it is?
We're not limited to one or the other frankly, if we don't care to be. They could all meet for something of a breakfast pow-wow and introductions/learn-how-you-fight-what's-your-semblance something before being shepherded out on mission. Even if that's a bit ambitious for a thread, but the point stands.

- Lilly will be the team leader
- Team PLSM (Plasma) will be the team name
- We're going to do a get to know each other setting before hitting up a mission?
If we're all good for that, then I can put us up on the team thread and look into getting a thread started for the team. Unless someone else would like to start the thread off?

So, I looked up what color plasma is and found out that it is either something found in blood, which is a type of straw color like so.
I had the plasma beam in mind so we could go with either blue, green, purple, or red. I just chose those since those are the closest I could find to lightsaber colors ;D.
What colors do you guys have in mind?

Not a fan of the plasma found in blood (trust me is not a pleasant color at all when you see it in a lab), so I'd much rather go with a glowing changing purple/red.

JJB, go ahead ans start the team thread - I'm looking forwards to getting it moving! I did some googling too - the plasma in blood is not a pretty color, so definitely a plasma beam is preferred. As for the name color, either red or purple is preferred - though why not a deep pink/red?
