Name: Seth Corbel

Age: 17

Species and Gender: Human Male

Symbol: Seth's symbol is a shuriken with strings hanging off of it.

Occupation: Student

Appearance: Seth has a fairly small build, being only 160cm tall. His facial features and structure is also very feminine, which may lead some to assume him to be female.

History: Seth was born into a group of merchants who would wander the deserts of Remnant, selling their wares. As a child, Seth and his younger brother were both given weapons and were trained by their parents on how to defend themselves from the Grimm. Seth harbored no strong feelings towards any-one of his family and as a kid this always confused him, seeing his brother saying that he loves his parents, when he himself never felt that way. This dug at Seth and both confused and angered him. As he was growing up his brother would be his one and only sparring partner, them practicing almost every day.

When the two brothers were 6 and 5 respectively, their father unlocked their aura. It manifesting a few weeks later Seth was always working on perfecting his semblance. Over the years, his little brother hadn't managed to beat him a single time, let alone land a hit, due to Seth's semblance giving him the speed to always evade his brothers attacks. Though, he never used his semblance aggresively, to attack. So one day, when Seth hit 12 he finally decided to push and use his semblance to attack. Because he had never done it before he didn't know how to restrain his power and accidentally killed his brother. Then, he knew why he never felt strongly towards his family. Because he was better. Now, with something to prove he ran away from the Merchant caravan and his parents and went to combat school in Mistral.

He was top of his class in most of his subjects and the ones he wasn't, he hated. He graduated that academy and got a recommendation for Beacon, in Vale, among many other academies. Wanting to get out of Mistral to leave his past behind him, he wanted to go to a school in another city. Hearing some good things about Beacon from his teachers he decided it would be easiest not to think about it and to just apply there. Armed with years of training and a boosted ego he set off and applied for Beacon to prove to himself once and for all he was the best.

Personality: Seth is a control freak with a lot to prove. Having a natural arrogance about him, he sees every-one else as nothing but pawns in his games. Due to this, he has little to no respect for any-one but himself and his respect is a hard thing to be earned. He is also incredibly stubborn and once set on an idea or plan it is near impossible for him to be swayed. Seth has difficulty emotionally attaching to people, which has given him a lot of trouble by causing him to have no strong feelings for any-one. Though his arrogance is his main feeling, it barely manifests under his snarky and smart-ass bravado.

Aura and Semblance: Aura colour - Flaxen yellow
Semblance: Seth's semblance grants him the ability to create wires made out of aura from the tip of his fingertips. These wires can be up to 10 meters each and take very little aura to use. They are very hard to spot due to how thin they are and can be used to pick up and manipulate small objects. He is also able to use his wires to pull himself towards objects, allowing for greater mobility. However, these wires can be very easily cut, and do become very noticeable when in motion.

Combat Behavior: Seth is a very strategic fighter and will often drag out fights in order to bring out a strategem. He makes use out of all assets in battle, including his own abilites and that of any teammates or allies he has. Thanks to his semblance he quickly dashes around the battle-field, taking in all he can and setting up a strategem. Though he is remarkably quick and agile, his attacks are slow, heavy and easily dodgeable thanks to the size and weight of his weapon. When unable to think clearly in a battle, or if his plan's don't go his way is when he is at his weakest in battle. Alternatively, slowing down his movement, or exceeding his speed will hinder his fighting ability as well.

Name: Desert's Chaos

Primary Form: Desert's Chaos' primary form consists of a giant, purple fuuma shuriken. This can be thrown or spun in his hand like a buzz-saw. It can also be controlled mid flight using Seth's semblance.

Secondary Form: Desert's Chaos' second form is a Greatsword. Three of the blades rotate around until they are all in the same position as the first, then the middle two slide up to give it more length.

History: This was a weapon Seth's parents gave him as a child in order to protect himself from Grimm.

Some of the old ideas are still in there, but it otherwise seems like a complete rewrite which would take it back to the system.

The part I'm most curious about is how or why doing well in Mistral lower academy would net him a recommendation for Beacon and not Haven.
