In all seriousness, Calypso has nothing do with Apocalypse but... If Apocalypse and Polygamist fail you know where I'm pointing to with a name that is the root of Hell(no really, look it up, the root Latin word for Hell, comes from Calypso)

The four-letter shortenings of Apocalypse and Polygamist are way too far from their actual words to be particularly viable. Calypso works fine, though.

There are two routes I suggest considering to decide a color. Disclaimer: I'm basing all of my statements following this sentence on basic surface-level Wikipedia research.
So the mythological nymph Calypso took Odysseus prisoner on the island of Ogygia. The island is apparently devoid of human elements and consists of thick foliage and a cave decorated with vines. Overall, it invokes a feeling of a warm yellow-green, like a sunrise over summer flora. She apparently enchanted Odysseus with her singing while using her loom with a golden shuttle. The conclusion of Calypso's story involves setting Odysseus free on a raft, so I believe an oceanic blue would be appropriate as well.
Another option would be to consider the etymology of the word, which comes from the Greek for "to cover" or "to hide," and Calypso's name has been translated as "concealing the knowledge." There's... also some several-generations removed way of connecting it to the word "Hell" in English, but... bleh.
You can make of that whatever color-related decisions you like.

I could agree with that, or maybe #ABF900. Oh, and since I forgot to respond about the Vytal Festival:
The Festival is a pretty general event, and I don't think there's anything already established that would require a whole team to go together (correct me if I'm wrong, I haven't really been keeping up with that). That said, if there's any particular event we want to participate in as a team it would be against Cara's character not to go. :P

I will say Cara's not super well suited to combat tournaments simply based on the fact that use of her semblance would instantly disqualify her. She can still fight without it, but yeah.

Gonna try to revive this thread. I don't care which color we use between #95FFB0 and #ABF900, and I'm open to suggestions regarding initiation. I know that jbb is too busy at the moment to run our initiation, but I'm sure one of us can run it. I'd be willing but don't expect top-tier writing if I do.

How far along was team Malfunction when they... malfunctioned? I almost wonder if we should just rework their original event with Cara in there instead.

I went and checked the archives (not sure why I didn't do that originally honestly) to find that the old team hadn't actually even started an initiation. So my previous comment is pretty worthless.
That said, you guys did have a meet-and-greet thread in progress... how important is that step in the process? Do we want to do that with CLYS, or go straight into initiation? Either way, I'm perfectly happy to start a thread and get rolling (although give me some time if we go for initiation because I'm sick of doing the classic Emerald Forest event and JJB is too busy to run one).

Sorry it took so long, but I wanted to clarify some rules regarding what I was planning to do. Also be aware that I'm perfectly open to people adding what they want to flesh out the story, so don't think that just because I started the thread means I plan to GM with an iron fist.

Two members of this team have been inactive for a month now, including the author of the original thread. Therefore I believe rather than searching for substitutes we should simply disband. I'm withdrawing Cara's membership to find another team.
