Walking into the warehouse building with Nathan in tow, Stella said, "I bought this building to use as a place to train prior to the Vytal Festival."
-
Nathan certainly was capable of appreciating the gesture. "...Uuuhh, wow, thanks. That's really generous of you." After scanning the vicinity, a thought slipped into his mind. "...Hey, how much was this, again? I hope it was cheap enough, even though you've probably got a lot of spare funds..."
-
"About 144,000 Lien. Don't worry about. I just so happened to be looking for a spare warehouse to move some assets into. But that'll come in 3 months so we'll use this place to train. Now, why don't you get yourself settled in while we wait for the instr-"
"Hey." A shirtless man with pale skin, blue eyes, and black hair wearing a set of black pants with a silver chain attached walked into the building.
"Good afternoon, sir. If you haven't seen him from the history books yet Nathan, this is Horatius Macaulay. Horatius, Nathan. Thank you for agreeing to help him. Are you sure you're not going to be training your daughter instead?"
"Strelka will be fine training with her mother and Zoe. Besides, General's orders. You're the only one that doesn't have any instruction for the upcoming Vytal Festival. Now you do."
"Speaking of her, why is she not participating?"
"The tournament is an event that will be shown worldwide, and you know, with how the General's semblance is and how considerate she is of others..."
"Ah yes, I understand. Ismael has nothing to do with it?"
"Nay. If she didn't sign up because of that, it'll just be an insult to the boy and she knows it. Now then, what do you want to start with, Nathan?"
-
Nathan was somewhat surprised that he had been assigned an instructor - and when he saw the instructor, he was a bit more surprised, albeit his face utterly failed to show it. Briefly bowing his head, he said "Um, wow, thanks, sir. It's an honor.", even though he'd only sort of glanced the man on the news once. He didn't really watch the news. "And please thank the General for me." He had a vague feeling he knew who it was, but he wasn't certain.
Without thinking about it, he crossed his arms. When he was asked what to do, his mind momentarily went blank. Did they not know he wasn't a leader? "Uhhhh, I don't have a single clue, sir. I usually tend to be careful and efficient in my combat. The only thing I haven't really had the occasion to train in my life is my semblance, but that's mostly because virtually any 'punching bag' will wind up destroyed in one hit. But in all honesty, I am not the best-suited at deciding these things."
