So... Lately I've been finding that my threads are progressing far too slowly. Not bashing anyone here, just pointing out that I expect an unreasonably fast pace of reading and posting from people that have lives because I don't have one. :P To give an idea, I have five characters, only four of which have found teams and NONE of which are completely finished with initiation after a good two months or so of being here. I still have a bunch of ideas for characters I'd like to see made, and most of these ideas can't really be merged into one like I've done previously...
I guess my point of discussion is this: Does anyone think it's a huge problem if my main contribution to this site is flooding the character creation board? It's what I enjoy doing but I feel like I'm being a pain, lol.

Mate, I've only got those written in my sig, and even then, only Nathan made it half-way through initiation before the entire thing went in limbo. Don't worry, as long as your characters are well-rounded and as long as you're happy with them, few will complain. I too post waaaayyyyy more than everyone else. It's fine!
-
Floob, if I were you I wouldn't model myself after Nathan. Try following my standard instead, as I am flawless.
-
But... but your profile says you're two years old... How can you be the wise guru sensei I'm seeking at that age?
-
Sesh is being sarcastic, as expected :P Just do whatever you fancy that won't piss off anyone or get the mods to rethink their approvals.
-
There isn't anything wrong with having multiple characters. But its generally a good idea to only make enougj that you will actually use. Don't make a character just to have them sit unused.
-
Well if you want an older member that can be your wise old sensei, I'm 1996 years old. So...
But yeah, it's fine having multiple, just don't let them sit around too too much. All of my characters are involved in something at the moment, no matter how little, or that Mauve's the only one who's gotten half an initiation. Just as long as you use them, it'll be fine.
-
Dude Marlon and Cheri had a First Day at Beacon thread that lasted like six months. Their initiation is just as grindingly slow.
-
The trick is to have so much PTSD from the first invitation tthe ssite ran that you just ddon't want any more initiations.
Also, keep an eye on the plot zone if you want to hop on a plot line, or keep an eye on labeled threads. Outside of the WF plotline, I know Kaliot and Vox are both starting long term plotlines soon.

Sesh is being sarcastic, as expected
About me being perfect? Yes. About not modeling off of you? No

Oh shit, I completely forgot about our Initiation, especially with the cruise, site change, and the tournament starting....
I should probably get on that

Don't be a dick, Sesh.
-
Fox: Hey, most of it's been retained because of the changes to Nathan, anyway :P
And while Sesh could've been nicer about it, I would also suggest you don't model off of me unless you want MAXIMUM EDGE
-
Well, I've got one more character in the works right now but I think besides that, yeah, I'll monitor the plot zone and stuff.
I'm not much of an edgelord Nathan, so I guess I'll model off me instead.
-
That's right! You be you!
-
Ahem, as the resident Terrible Self Insert Character Creator, Cherry Chainsaw is MAXIMUM EDGE, please and thank you.
-
My edge beats your edge because it's real.
-
Don't be a dick, Sesh.
Sorry Gus, it was meant to be a good natured roast. Just a light roast, a breakfast blend.
-
Edge being a nebulous and unquantifiable concept, I cannot say objectively who's the edgiest of all. That said, I can tell for sure that neither of you can grasp the true form of MAXIMUM EDGE. Sorry.
-
The edgiest user was an old user from the first site, Night.
-
Shit. Gonna have to go root through Google now.

Tip. Make interesting characters? No, don't go through too many open threads. Those tend to die too quickly or get taken over by other people who sometimes(and by sometimes i mean most of the time) drive it off track, forgetting or not realizing the very purpose of the thread. Trust me. That and pick not too many to thread with as waiting for each and every single person would also take forever if you have 3+++ people participating. Another tip? Keep constant communication somehow. Sometimes people would think "Oh this person should be next or something cuz my character isn't in need right now" and forget to inform people that they're not posting or waiting for others and then everyone thinks that way and then NOBODY POSTS AND THEN THE TRHEAD JUST CIDDIOUAWIEJASJDD AS.
Ahem. In short, communication and make sure the people you thread with are trustworthy. And probably plan in advance.
Actually having interesting characters is a good thing too. Cuz nobody wants to thread with a bore. Or an edgelord. Or a special snowflake who tries making the world revolve around themselves alone. Try making a thread that keeps a select interest in mind, it's hard having too many people develop at the same rate so it'll be better to plan for someone's development or a certain goal without making it too much about any one person. Just my opinion.
