The sound of heavy weights lifting and falling could be heard as Sonya Schwartz lifted heavy weights. She liked going to the weight room, especially at Beacon. Namely, since she could use the dummies there without breaking them after the first few punches. She continued to lift the weights over and over.

Wandering around the school to see if he can find anything that pique his interest Beige sees a sign with the words “Weight Room” on it. What could this be, a room where weight was measured or perhaps it was a room where machines where tested for how much they could carry. With his interest piqued, Beige stepped into the room only to be baffled by what he saw, a room full of what he could only describe as modern art. Then out of sheer confusion he shouted “What the fuck is this place?”

Sonya heard the boy and stopped pumping the weight. she lifted it up and sat it down on the rack. She looked over and saw the boy. "The beacon weight room." She said standing up and looking to the boy. She stood over a foot taller than him and cracked her knuckles. "Name's Sonya." She said walking over to the boy. She wore gym shorts and a red tube top, with a white towel around her neck. "You?" She asked grabbing a water bottle and drinking some.

“Names Beige and could you be so kind as to tell me what a weight room is?” Beige said in a calm and relaxed tone, looking up at the almost 2-meter-tall amazon with his black cowboy hat tilted slightly forward and not even the slightest hint of fear in his eyes.

Sonya smiled at the boy. "Well it's where you go to work out with weights, like weight lifting." She said looking around. "It's pretty much to help build muscle." She said flexing her arm. She looked at his hat and tilted her head. "Why are you wearing a cowboy hat?" She asked tempted to poke it.

Smiling back, Beige calmly answered while flicking his hat so it tilted slightly upwards “Because it’s my hat”. Then he asked in a slightly intrigued tone “So, what kind of hats do you wear?”

Sonya just ran through her mind different hats. She stopped and shrugged. "I don't wear hats, they get in my way when I fight." She said with a shrug and a smile. "Of courseI do like beanies when it gets cold." She said thinking some more. Maybe a fedora? Not a bad idea. She thought nodding at the mental image of her with a fedora.

After giving a small almost unhearable sigh, Beige says in a sincere tone “That’s a shame, because I’m sure you would look great with one on”. Then after a brief pause he asks “So what do you do here at Beacon?”

"I'm a fourth year here, so it varies. Mostly I keep my eye on underclassmen." She said with a sly wink and smile. "So keep your nose clean, else I might put you in a leg lock." She said with a smirk.

With a grin on his lips and in a witty tone Beige said “I’ll try my best”. Then with curiosity in his voice he asked “Since I’m new here at Beacon, is there any advice that you could impart on me?”

Sonya looked up and put her finger on her bottom lip as she thought. "Well...I guess that from what I learned, teamwork is important. A team with no coordination tends to shot themselves in the foot." She said remembering her first year. "Also even if it seems like a good Idea don't hit on the teachers. Never goes well." She said thinking about her first year again. She managed to put him through two walls...not bad.

Sonya’s advice on teamwork reminded Beige of his years in the trio, especially of the early days when they were not that well-coordinated. Then after he heard the advice to not hit on teachers, he thought that there might be an interesting story behind it so he asked “I think there might be a story behind your advice to not hit on teachers, would you mind telling it to me?”

Sonya sighed. "Ugh....I still remember in full detail. A known partier who was having too much fun went over to our combat teacher. He started complimenting her and saying she had a great body and shit." She says with a shrug. "She didn't like it and sent him flying across the room. That didn't stop him though, he just smiled and waved it off. One good thing about that guy, hit him as much as you want he won't stop having a good time."

Hearing the story Beige has a small chuckle and says “Well I’ll be sure not to make the same mistake that he made”. Then he asked with a smile on his face “So, would you like to hear one of my story’s?”

Sonya just smiled and nodded. "Sure." She had some free time and knew that a lot of new years always had some tales to spin. This should be good. She thought smiling.

Beige sits down on a nearby chair and begins his tale "This story begins on a night where the dark and the dense sandstorms made it almost impossible to see. Me along with my old friends Rice and Gold where traveling to a town named black-oak, small and secluded, most people would not have any reason to go there, but someone had offered us a substantial amount of money to transport and protect a business partner theirs as well as some cargo, no questions asked. When we got to the town we were tired and hungry so we decided to go to the local inn. There we met the business partner, a tall yet plump man, called Edwin Bank, he wanted to leave immediately, we tried to explain to him that we had just arrived from after a long and tiring trip, but he insisted that we leave as soon as possible. Fortunately because of the weather we had to wait till morning to leave, so we got rest and food before we left."

Sonya had taken a seat in front of him and sat cross-legged, listening intently. "What happened next?" She asked smiling wanting to hear more.

Beige continued his story "Then, as soon as glint of sunlight shone from the horizon we headed out. While we were traveling to our destination the air was surprisingly cool and the sun was mercifully soft, but when we passed a mountainous dune we were ambushed, by what we at that point assumed where assumed where bandits. A chase on horseback ensued, our attackers road on five black steeds hurling bullets at the wagon that me, Mr. Bank and the cargo was in. Rice and Gold veered their houses away from the road dispersing from sight, I tried to make the horses drawing the wagon even fast, but the attackers horses where of a better breed and quickly caught up to me, one of the attacker even manged reach past the front of the wagon but a few shots from silver forced him back. Then from behind the attackers Rice and Gold having snuck up on them took them by surprise, gunning down one and making the others scatter."

Sonya just blinked. "Wow, sounds like you guys had some adventure. What happened after you scared them off." She asked tilting her head.

Answering Sonya's question Beige said "Well, because of the chase we were a bit of course, so we choose to take a different route, it was not the fastest route, but it was one with fewer grimm and more importantly one which only a few people knew of. Unfortunately Mr. Bank, who had hid under a blanket in the back of the wagon for the hole duration of the fight, wanted to get to our destination as quickly as possible and told us to take the fastest route possible. We tried to explained to him that if we took that route we would have to go through a canyon that was idle for an ambush, but he would not listen and under the threat of not getting paid we complied with his demands. Knowing that our attackers would probably use the canyon to ambush us we took some precautions, for starters we decided that Gold should stay in the cart while I was driving so I could focus more on driving, we also pre-loaded serval guns so we could shoot without having to reload as often and we made some homemade smoke bombs, so we could disorientate our attackers."
