Not first come, first serve.
This takes place about a month after the festival.
This is a bit of an unorthodox sign up. The thread was originally going to be split into two threads, one an open thread and then a separate closed thread, but I think combining them into one and just making a sign up would be better.
For starters, I want to make it clear that this will not be a "large" thread and, in fact, will be pretty simple. Half chase, half fight.
"What do I get out of being part of this?" Well, that's a good question voice of explanation! You get the joy of fighting. Oh, and also a foot in the door for White Fang plotline stuff down the road. By having first hand knowledge of the Fang, you'll be more likely to be picked for long term things so that your character will have a point in the story instead of just "Here's a different character every single thread."
Now, with EVERY White Fang thead, there WILL be a chance of death. But, like Walking the Beat, it's only if you REALLY REALLY REALLY mess up. I mean, the Beat guys didn't post for a month and all I did was give them temporary disabilities like a broken leg. That said, if you're presented with someone that can solo-kill hunters (you won't) and you're told that they can do that (You would be) and you say "I'MMA FIGHT IT!" you are going to die.
There is a good end and a bad end.
Oh, and both faunus and humans are welcome to participate, unlike Walking the Beat where we purposely chose humans.
THE PREMISE: If your character would be in a bar (eating, drinking, serving, whatever) or around a bar (Going somewhere else or at a store or shop across the street) during the daytime, you can be in the thread. While I PREFER students be involved, I'm accepting everyone.
Please direct any questions here so I can edit them in toward the top.
Characters!
1. Argent Grae
2. Kei Almas
3. Izumi Cremisi
4. Juno Vert
Thread will be up Saturday or Sunday
-
Kei Almas would participate.
-
Sherwood Cathasaigh from team ASPN is in for the thread.
The other members of ASPN are interested as well. Noctis Quartz for sure, Persimmon Burhan and a tentative (at time of posing he's asleep, but he's said he wanted to do WF stories before) yes from Argent Grae. They'll both follow up as well. Looking forward to it Gus.
-
Add Noctis to participate
-
Might as well throw Percy... err, Persimmon at it. Still pending on whether he's gonna die in JJ's tactics class but I could always just have his ghost participate.
...Yes I'm being facetious.
-
Well Gray wouldn't hang around in bars so i won't submit him. Revya and Cerulean totally would though.
-
Juno Vert would definitely have reason to be about in town, and would probably pass by a bar at some point. So why not.
-
Signing up Auric Herz, mostly just to do reporter things and show that he's down to do some real grass roots activism by getting in the thick of things
-
I'll put up Solaris. She ain't a student but she does hold distaste for the WF. If this thread is strictly Vale area then a high chance she won't be there.
-
Argent Grae, a member of team ASPN would be into this. The others have already signed up.
-
Janna Tarmac could use a night out in the town.
-
Is this just a Valesian thread, or are characters from other regions allowed?
-
If they have a reason to be in Vale, sure, but this takes place after the Vytal Festival.
-
I guess I'll put Arashi Kusanagi forward. He has a good enough reason to frequent bars, being a bartender himself.
-
Alrighty, what's the character limit on this event?
-
In the good dr.'s post he says 4 characters. One per user.
-
As we've discussed, I'm throwing in Theodore "Teddy" Williams now that he is approved.
-

Sorry for the delay, thread's up http://rwby-rpg.rwbyfanon.com/index.php/topic,764.0.html
