Alright buckos, I had a fun idea. You know how everyone is pretty good with their own weapons? Eh, screw that. I'm gonna make a set of simultaneous 1v1 threads, however many can be made by however many sign up. Here's the breakdown, I won't be actively participating because I have other things to do, but I CAN provide a platform to set up the threads and then I trust you all know how to do a sparring thread. What's gonna happen is Titania is gonna be holding a class in the beacon arena with a new student, Dee Ree. Rumor is she's Ex-Fang, but that's not important. What IS important is her semblance that lets her swap anything she can see or is touching with anything else she can see or is touching (Within reason). So, match ups will be randomized and after they're randomized, the weapons will be randomized. The weapon you get is NOT LOCKED to who you're fighting, it could be the weapon of a character in a completely different thread.
Now you may be saying "Gus this sounds dumb and gay" but hear me out. This is a great opportunity for players to flex their writing abilities by putting characters in a situation where they aren't familiar with the tools. In addition to that, it's an opportunity to do do some good ol sparring threads. No pressure of it being a tourney and completely at the speed of those in the thread. Plus, the Vytal Festival is technically still in town because I dragged the tourney out for 6 damn months and as such, any student from any school can participate, it's a nice opportunity to meet others from other kingdoms.
There is no entry limit, the sign up will be up a few days.
Semblances might be banned to make it so that people who mostly rely on semblances to augment their combat don't utterly stomp regardless of weapon.
Who can enter? Are you a student? Yes? You can enter. Year doesn't matter.
I suppose you can enter multiple characters if you WANT, but remember, all the threads go up at once. Don't overburden yourself. Also it causes more issues for me because I have to make sure you don't match up with yourself.
Remember. Unless it is STATED in your profile that you can use the weapon you get, you generally are gonna have a tough time using it. Example: Zabar uses his gauntlets to punch people. If he gets a sword, he's gonna have a hard time fighting. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
All characters will be given a brief overview of the weapons they get from their owners out of thread (AKA it is assume at the start of the thread that it already happened "offscreen") so that characters at least know how to transform weapons, reload, etc, but they still don't know how to proficiently use them.
Also, question: if somebody has multiple weapons, do they come as a set?
Okay so let's use Zwei as an example. He's got a pair of batons, grenades, and an Anti-Tank rifle because Zwei is dumb. Anything listed in the weapon section gets put in the weapon pool. Now, whoever GETS Zwei's weapons gets the whole set, but they can choose what to use and what not to use. They can use all of it, just the batons, the batons and the grenades, just the AT rifle, or any combination. The only exception to this is stuff like Juno's hardlight stuff. Because Hardlight. And AI.

Personally, I'd like to submit all my currently approved chars, partially because I want to 'flex my writing abilities' but mostly because I'm a dick.
Also, question: if somebody has multiple weapons, do they come as a set?

OK. I want to fight with Gray and Sandy. I am very tempted to throw Fallow in just so some poor sod gets a completely useless weapon.

I want to see someone use Tieren's unorthodox weapon. Besides, the guy needs action. Count him in.

Malina poked her head into the pilot's quarters of the small airbus. "They're all ready and accounted for, ready for take off when you are." She said, giving a slight headnod back toward the section of the ship housing the students. After the pilot gave a silent nod of his own, she dipped back out of the quarters and made her way back to the main section of the ship, stopping just before the door to check herself one last time. She frowned, pulling on the button up shirt one last time before pulling it untucked from the pants. 'Screw it,' she thought as she pulled back her hair into a tight ponytail, 'I'm making Tania let me wear my combat outfit from now on, this uniform stuff is just awful...' A light sigh and quick check of her scroll one last time was all that she needed to do before stepping through the door.
As she stepped through the doorway, she cleared her throat, getting the attention of the students aboard. "Welcome to class, everyone." She started with a light voice, a slight smile forced out as she spoke. "I know many of you may have been expecting professor Titania, but apparently someone thought it would be funny to spray paint the beacon training arena, so she's a bit... preoccupied..." She trailed off for a moment toward the end, but quickly snapped back into focus. "Don't worry, though, she wasn't going to be involved much today anyway and, well, I'm a graduate from Beacon. I'd say I know my stuff." Malina gave a more genuine smile as she spoke before locking eyes with a small girl in the first row. "But I won't be doing most of the heavy lifting today, that falls on our guest here."
The small girl stood up and walked to Malina's side, standing meekly with her head down. Malina gave her a soft smile before looking back up at the group of the students. "I won't go into any of the heavy details, but long story short, Dee here can swap any object she's touching with another object around her, at random if she wants. The purpose of today's exercise is try using weapons you aren't used to using. I don't expect any of you to be a master of swordsmanship by the end of the day if you've never used one before, but speaking as someone who's had to improvise weapons in the field I can promise you'll be glad you took part in this later. Year doesn't matter in these fights, so first year might go up against fourth years. Try not to embarrass 'em too bad." A smile smirk grew on her face as she stole a quick glance toward Kei before returning to the rest of the students. "The fights will go until aura loss, no hits past that. You'll brief the person who gets your weapon on that weapon, so no lying. Just tell them out to transform it, if it does that, how to load it, stuff like that. Oh, and there's a few things that won't be transfering, specifically limbs..." a quick glance toward Acero, "and generators." Another glance toward Juno. "Now that doesn't mean you get to keep the weapons attached to those things, you can only use the weapons you're given, but you don't have to use all of the weapons if you don't want. Pick and choose if it suits you." Malina paused for a moment to check her scroll before slowly looking back up to the students. "That should be it. You'll all get your weapons when we land at the arena, nice of them to let us use Amity for this, and then you'll begin the fights when you and your partner agree. Good luck." And with that, the woman turned on her heel and stepped back through the doorway, only to stop halfway through.
"Oh, and this is a weapon training exercise. If I catch you using your semblance, I'll let Titania know." And then she was gone.
(Sorry for the super late and super shitty post. Blame life and me being bad at my job on the site.)

Do we do the explanation of our weapon in our first post or in the person who has out weapons, thread?
