Chris activated his semblance, his heart pounding in his chest from the adrenaline. He leaped from the edge of the building, reaching his arm up to grab a beam on the nearby crane. He barely managed to grab it, his grip well-placed due to his semblance. He looked down the length of the crane, starting to think of his next move.
This is when his grip failed. The storm that caused the construction workers to go home also caused the equipment to be wet. And you can't grip wet metal effectively. Chris' head snapped up in time to see his hand slip from the bar, his form plummeting toward the ground. He managed to land on what the crane was supporting, which was a large metal beam, a few floors below.
As he landed, his leg bent in ways legs are never meant to bend. It stopped most of his momentum, but all of his weight caused his leg to give out. He then fell off the back of the beam, falling the remaining story to the ground, where he laid in a broken mess.
