Appearance: Yori is big and robust, a large frame of 184cm of wide shoulders, muscle and fat. With a big hard round belly, this man with a mighty mane of black hair weighs a hefty 148 kilos from both fat and muscle. With small beady eyes like the shells of black beetles, and a rather crooked smile, this jolly man may not be the prettiest in looks, but certainly is a jolly bowl of jelly the color of a tanned man. His faunus trait is the large black tail that is about as long as his body, thick and muscular with a leather pad at the tip.

Wearing robes that have three different colors, pink for his left side, blue for his right and yellow for whatever is in between. Sewn into his robes are beautiful patterns which easily represent his origins as a Menagerie citizen. Around his waist is a belt with pockets. Equipped with black baggy pants and wearing white socks and black shoes, it is obvious this guy is a monk. Around his wrist is a bane of beads and he wears golden earrings on his left ear in a group of three. Attached to his belt is a gourd and a pipe shaped like a dango along with a pouch of herbs.

Personality: Yori is as big as his heart, a golden heart in fact. The man’s hefty weight matches his earth shaking laugh of joy. Yori is a man who can laugh in the most darkest of times, for he enjoys every bit of his life. No curse to him is a curse, no blessing to him is a blessing. He understands the power of gratitude and though he may forget it, he is a gracious and humble man. This titan’s mighty strength is equal to his love and kindness, always willing to reach out to help others. Though some may view him as soft and not someone you can call a mercenary, Yori is not a man to threaten. His mighty laugh can be laced with a monstrous intent to kill.

Despite calling himself a monk, Yori shows very few display of a monk. One is his obsessive eating for dangos. His love for these rice dumplings on a stick spreads far and wide, and is more than willing to lend you his aid in exchange for a good supply of good quality dangos. Another not so monk like behaviour is his smoking tendencies. Filling that pipe with a mix of special herbs, burning them creates an effect similar to anaesthetic, relieving the body of pain for a limited time. The odd side effect is that it smells like popcorn when burnt.

This big man happens to be a softie for children. Allowing them to have fun around him, use his pot belly as a climbable area or give them a makeshift swing with his tail. This jolly giant can be surprisingly gentle, and a massive force of a crashing tsunami if children are threatened.

Aura and Semblance: His aura is either Pink, Blue or Yellow at random times.
His semblance as he calls it is “Within”.
“Within” is simple in concept, when activated, it enters a passive state where his aura is strengthened around his body, too insignificant to actually be noticed, and wherever he channels the aura too. That is however not the power of “Within”. When Yori begins to move while “Within” is active, when a significant amount of force is put into something like a swing of his weapon or a punch, “Within” allows that force to travel a much greater distance with little falloff, hence turning his melee attacks into large long range sweeps.

Combat Behavior: Yori is given his title “Great Mountain” because of his fearsome large size and “Tsunami” for his incredible force of power that this man is not hesitant to use when you threaten a fight with this giant.
A large, big melee fighter, he is what you expect from a man of his size and stature. However do not underestimate his surprisingly mobility. He may not be as agile or fast as the typical fast and agile ones, but he certainly is for his size. Great leg strength, amazing sense of balance and his know how on using his bulky body, he rolls, flips and dances easily around, before he jumps in to deal quite the heavy strike.
Yori utilities every part of his body, elbow, knee head you name it. He aims for grapples and will give you a taste of his belly gongs and butt slams. He remains a jolly man in his fights, unless he gets really serious about it. He is a strong wall with a mighty force.
However his large size makes him an easy target for gunshots and large attacks, both an advantage and a disadvantage. Yori will help you take that damage, but it makes him an easy prime target. He also can not fit into tight spaces so hiding him is not easy. He is best as a frontline force.

WEAPON

Name: Hana Hua

Primary Form: A large monk’s spade, with a length of 2 meters when not counting it the blades. The shovel blade adds a good 30cm while the crescent blade from the tip adds a 30cm as well. There is a switch close to the shovel blade.

Secondary Form: Yori flicks the switch and inner mechanisms flip the crescent blade as semi circular protrusions appear, giving the overall look of a huge 2D dango. The holes are wide enough for almost any bladed weapon to go through. He holds the weapon near the shovel blade, using the weapon as a greatsword of sorts.

Dust Functions: Loading into a Dust Foci located relatively near the shovel blade. Yori is able to utilize dust into his semblance.

History: Fashioned from his time in the monastery and his love for dangos.

[Vision]

Name: A bit many nicknames, though nothing that bad as they're fairly similar and this isn't a first year student so can have a bit more renown. You just need to address what gave him those nicknames in the history or other places (See now that you addressed this in the combat behaviour)

Appearance: Lots of things that we don't typically see which I like a lot, nice to see it addressed where he is from (That is one thing you'll need to add in the history where in the world he lives / or where he usually travels etc.) The Dango theme is a bit heavy on for my taste but that's probably fine in general (I'm certainly biased when looking at stuff).

History:

Aura: Having different colours of aura isn't something I've seen before so there may be some resistance to that in approval, I personally don't see the harm.

Semblance: So just to be clear this allows his melee attacks to have a ranged damage, would need some details like what range they have and such.

Personality: Lots of good stuff but I'm not getting the "No curse to him is a curse, no blessing to him is a blessing" line. If he doesn't respond to 'blessings' that sound more apathetic than the rest of the description which seems rather jolly, I may just be missing something here so probably fine.

On the whole Its looking good, a lot of traits that we don't see often which I do really like. I personally thought the Dango theme is a bit heavy handed (Last name, clothes, weapon even aura) but again
characters with a very specific theme can be fine its just not my preference so feel free to ignore my take on that part.
