Great. On to... Scene 3 (Last scene): (Well kinda, same scene, just broken up...)

The lights go off for 10 seconds. During those ten seconds, we can hear a gun firing and glass breaking. Not sure if they're at the same time or not. Keep in mind that it's only one gunshot. When the lights come back on, we can see that the politician has fainted, and there's something red on his shirt, possibly wine, possibly blood. The doctor is tending to him. The actress suddenly drops her cup, seemingly for no reason but possibly in shock at the missing diamond. Doubtful. The waitress is very quick to clean it up, sending the magician's doves out the window in the spur of the moment. The magician is surprised and pointing at something, silk hat in hand. For some reason, the mafia is jeering at them, and the police is watching him very carefully. We can see that she has her gun. The mechanic comes in with a report that's at least a page long, right after the blackout and she already has that much info typed down. She also has a band-aid on her cheek that wasn't there before. At the journalist's feet is a bullet,  probably the casing of one, but maybe an actual bullet. Auctioneer is speechless, as the diamond is gone. The hall is in chaos, but it seems that one person is missing. Not one of the characters, they're all accounted for. The window has been smashed, or maybe shot, the hole is wide enough for a person. Floating on the surface of the ocean is a silk top hat. We already know that the only ones with a silk top hat that we've seen are the magician and the sick businessman. But the magician already has her hat in hand, and the businessman is nowhere to be found in the shots, though the fact that he's nowhere to be found is never explicitly stated.

And that concludes it. Thoughts?

Is there a gun flash? If not, that means the shot was either in another room or that the person had a flash suppressor, which tend to be bulky and take more than 5 to put on or off.

Auctioneer could still have done it, it's a prime spot.
Politician probably has wine on him. Maybe legit medical condition.
Police might've done it. Still prime spot, also has gun.
Actress might've dropped her cup in shock at the politician.
Waitress strangely calm, maybe her?
Magician is a contender.
Mafia is too high-profile.
Mechanic is suspicious as heck, but she might've been in the process of making a report before the blackout. Maybe the plaster is because someone hit her to get to the light's controls.
Business man might've fallen off? Maybe is in the gents', vomiting?
Bullet casing might've rolled in from farther away, or comes from the actual journalist because she did it. Wouldn't be the first time.

My notes on the whole scheme:
-About the Mafia and the Businessman: It's strange that they were talking to each other at the docks. Couple that with the fact that businessman is the one with the silk hat and is missing from the shot, and then with the fact that mafia was heckling the others makes them prime suspects. Remember, this diamond is fabled to bring happiness to whoever owns it. But then again, Businessman could also have been pushed off of the boat, so...
-Mechanic: Possibly, but I would guess that she was the one who turned off the lights, so almost sure of her being one of the people in the plan.
-Politician: Wine was also what I was thinking, there was only one gunshot and it's stated that he'd spilled his wine before. There are a few possibilities here: 1. He actually has a condition. 2. Doctor is guilty, drugged him or something. 3. Waitress and Actress are in cahoots, also part of this whole plan. Waitress is the one who poisons the wine and champagne, and since Actress knows this, she orders whiskey on the rocks instead
-Actress: The dropping of her glass brings on a few theories, that maybe she had the diamond in the glass, pretending it was ice (whiskey on the rocks) and dropped it for the waitress to pick up. Or maybe Waitress accidentally dropped the diamond and Actress dropped her glass to disguise the diamond and have reason for the waitress to bend down and pick it up. Mafia might've seen the fumble and laughed at that.
-Police: Probably involved, only one who could have a gun without being suspicious. Keeping an eye on the mafia because she's scared that he knows? Or maybe he's part of the plan too and she thinks that he might betray them all or cheat them with the businessman, who he was conversing with earlier.
-Auctioneer: Eh, not much to say.
-Magician: Forgot to mention, she actually has a great spot to steal the diamond, as she's on the stage with it. Possible the one who stole it, hiding it by sleight of hand. Or maybe, in the possible scenario that they're all in cahoots and Mafia and Businessman cheated them out of it, the one who was supposed to get the diamond. Looks very shocked.
-Journalist: Could've hidden it in her camera, has the bullet at her feet.

Many, many possibilities. But it's over anyway. This is from three years ago. Oh, and did I forget to mention that this was a Vocaloid plot? No? Well it is! The Mafia is Len, the police officer is Rin, the actress is Meiko, the politician is Kaito, the waitress is IA, the doctor is Luka, the magician is Gumi, the auctioneer is Gakupo and the journalist is Miku. The businessman is... unknown.

Good answer! But sadly probably untrue. Hitoshizuku-P and Yamasankakkei don't portray him as a bad guy. He was a priest in Blessed Messiah and a butler in Bad End Night, and he was pretty much innocent in those two. Actually he might've been partially guilty in Bad End Night, I'm not sure. Haven't read the novels that go along with it. Or a summary or anything.

The only vocaloid that I can think of that resembles how the sickly businessman was portrayed is Hiyama Kiyoteru. Which I already have a slightly negative opinion of because people ship him with Kaai Yuki. He's twenty-two. Kaai Yuki is NINE!
