Still confused and in shock, Reginald wasn't capable of pompously refusing help like he usually would. He instead accepted the hand and shakily got back up on his feet, staring wide-eyed at his father, glancing momentarily to his mother to see the lady looking incredibly saddened. She tried to give her son a reassuring smile like she normally would, but it cane out a bit off in this situation.
His father looked to the boy who had just stepped in. The one who had given his son a hand had just referred to him as 'their leader'."So, you two must be his teammates. And you're Marshal, I assume?" the man asked, looking him up and down for a moment, before sighing. "My son had, during our call, referred to you as a 'simple-minded pleb not worthy of his presence'. Meeting you only confirms my previous assumptions. I apologize for any inconveniences he may have brought upon you two, but I hope this shall change."
Sir Royale's voice was stern, but despite his attempts to hide it, there was certainly some amount of doubt and sadness in his voice. He turned to face Reginald once more.
"From when you were a little lad, we've been raising you wrong. We tried to make you a proper man, but we spoiled you. It's high time that changed, if you ever wish to take over our company. And there won't be a better time to start than now, during your time at Beacon. As such, I will no longer be supporting you here beyond a small allowance to keep your weapons in order and stocked up on ammunition. You will not be able to come in contact with me or your mother. You will follow your leader's orders to the t, and you will learn respect to those around you."
A muffled 'suck it, nerd' could be heard from the direction of Silica, earning a frown from lady Royale.
"And, to keep an eye on your progress, I'll be leaving Silica with you. I've already arranged her a place to stay here at Beacon."
"Ha! Wait, shit, what?"
Without letting either his son or his assistant protest, the Royale's started heading back towards the airship, their guards following suite. Reginald simply continued to stand where he did, staring blankly ahead.
