"Villages are always quiet..most of thr time." Talen replied, hearing thr Cordelia from her scroll. "Anyways, how exactly do i fix this thing?"
What was left of the pen lay in the grass on its side. One might believe it an intact structure until their eyes rested on the damaged portions. It seemed like chunks of the fence had been run through a wood chipper, and it was these sections that the group was trying to patch up with fresh wood.
The villager handed Talen a few nails, a hammer, and a few boards. "You can start by nailing that across this section here," he said, indicating a gap in the topmost crossbeam of the fence. "Anything unusual? Well, it wasn't a grimm or a bandit, so that was pretty weird. It also got around really well. Like it would pop up in someone's barn one night, and in another's kitchen the next," he said.
Kale sighed this was gonna be a long mission looking to Mr Suthers Kale gave him a soft smile and apologized for their antics, the view had calmed her down a notch but it was a fine line she was walking and she knew if she wasn't careful she might just cause more trouble for both them and the village. So she kept her emotions in check while she followed the veteran hunstmen to investigate the barn.
Everyone in the village seemed to know where Suthers lived, so finding it wasn't difficult at all. The house was smaller than most, and had a noticeable lean to it. The barn could be seen behind the house from the street. Upon entering the barn, Kale and Argus would find it empty save for a few hay bales in the corner. Nothing really stood out beyond the soft creaking of the structure.
