Ismael is awoken by the sun of the afternoon sky shines down on him, his weapons and mask are nowhere to be found around him yet he seems to not really care. He stands and stretches dusting off his black pants and clearing leaves off of his grey long-sleeved shirt as he stretches.

He found little fun from anything anymore, he has only every really layed around, read, and trained. He never was able to have fun as he did when it was earlier in his time here. He found himself reminiscing of the times when he became real friends with everyone, the awkward and funny moments with Cheri, the strangely calm yet enjoyable time with Marigold, his most defining encounters with Fortuna, his times with Mauve as a leader and as a friend, and his "Bro" time with Nathan. He was a mess as he came out of his day dreams and found himself on the ground looking out to the rest of Vale with tears running down his face. He wanted to go back to those times, he started to see people leave, he began to grow softer as this was the third time this week he found himself crying wishing to find that spark again.

He sat still under a larger tree as he began to speak, "I can't find it anymore. A will to keep on. I've looked for it and yet it's gone. Coming to Vale my will was driven by the need to survive and the resolve to make it into Beacon. Then once I got here I found that I only had that, no aspiration past that, all I planned was to become a hunter and that's it. I had no other motive. Then I started making friends: first Cheri, next Nathan, then marigold, after was Mauve, then Fortuna. I found that I wanted to protect then, and make sure they were able to succeed where I failed. And I began to realize I was now staying for them. I stayed so better people can fulfil their dreams. Now as we go on more and more, I begin to realize I am just a nuisance only helping for a time. Everyone else has a bigger purpose, but why am I here? I came out of revenge, yet I feel as though that is a fools dream. "I WILL KILL THEM ALL!!!", or something like that. How would I even do that, why would I? Vengeance sounded nice back then, but now...it sounds like a child's dream".

Ismael sat holding his knees to his chest as he stares out onto Vale wishing he could find something more.

HI! If you decide to join in you can take it any where you want. I just wanted to put down some more character developing stuff as it would give me something to do. So you can make this be more focused on people psychologically affected by anything in the school or in their life, or make it where some random magical thing happened and you need someone to show it to. Ismael is there, waiting, always waiting.

Anastasia had only started working at Beacon not too long ago, but she was already bored with her job. You could hardly even call it a job, really. For most things, students could defend themselves anyway, and the various teachers of the academy were more than sufficient to break up any fights that might happen. There wasn't really a need for her to be around, and as such she really had nothing to do all day. Which meant she had to find other ways to occupy her time, such as wandering around messing with students. Well, if she needed an official reason, she would just say she was "patrolling the academy". Which she technically was. Kinda.

She was on one such 'patrol' when she came across a student sitting under a tree. He was alone, which meant this was a perfect opportunity to mess with him. She cloaked herself in invisibility as she approached to get a better look - it would be a bit of a waste of time to try to use visual illusions on someone who had their eyes closed, after all. Upon closer inspection, however, she could see that he was crying, and did not seem to be in a good mood. Most definitely not the kind of mood that would appreciate being messed with.

Not that she would mess with someone in a situation like this. She wasn't cruel after all.

Dispelling her invisibility illusion once she was a meter or so away (And hopefully not startling the boy too much with her sudden appearance), she called out to him in a somewhat soft voice, "Umm, it's probably not my place to ask, but are you okay? It wouldn't feel right to just leave a student crying alone." She asked, flashing a smile as she did, although the 'student' part might be a bit confusing considering her current youthful appearance.

She really wasn't qualified to be of any help to crying sad people, really, but it definitely wouldn't feel right to just walk away without doing anything. And she was a staff member, after all. Responsibility to help students in need and all that.

...Well, she wasn't really sure whether teachers really had any sort of responsibility like that - she didn't really have any experience in a school setting after all, but something to that effect was implied, right? Hopefully so, otherwise she didn't really have any excuse for butting in here and would probably look like a bit of a terrible person. Although she probably would have asked even if she didn't think it was particularly appropriate, if only to give herself something to do.

Ismael's focus was lost in thought as he looks out onto Vale, so when someone came behind him and spoke to him, he was startled beyond belief and seemed to almost fly as he hopped up into the air. Once he landed he turned himself to face the person talking to him. "He-hello. I'm fine. I'm just captivated by the beauty". Ismael lied right through his teeth, he wanted to not seem like he was ever weak. He's held up a strong face and sacrificed for others, why should he stop now?

Oops. It seems not only had Anastasia startled the student (She probably shouldn't have been surprised at that. It probably would've been a smarter idea to break her invisibility and approach from a distance instead.), but she had also been completely wrong. He was just crying at the view! A little strange, but the view was rather nice, and Beacon did tend to attract all sorts of strange people. Besides, it would probably make things a lot worse if she tried to doubt what he said if it was really true. Better to play it safe after already messing up once.

"Ahahah... I'm really sorry, I shouldn't have just assumed. I hope I didn't offend you, there's nothing wrong with crying! It's umm, definitely a very nice view, nothing wrong with crying over a view like this." She said with a nervous laugh. She really shouldn't have interfered - what would she had done if he had actually not been okay?! She was definitely not skilled enough in social matters to do anything other than embarrass herself. Not that she hadn't embarrassed herself anyway.

At least no one could see the slight blush on her face. The benefits of having her appearance be a constant illusion.

Ismael wiped his face of tears as he said, "It's fine. Someone crying warrants some response as it means they're under some distress". Ismael gave a reassuring smile to give the woman a sign of his situation being fine. He then asked the woman in front of him, "So, what's your name? I haven't seen you around the school".

Huh. Surprisingly mature. Were all kids this mature these days? Well, then again, he had been crying over the scenery, so Anastasia doubted this kid was particularly normal. Probably just the weird ones were mature.

"Ah, I guess you could say that. I moved to Beacon not that long ago, so I'm not surprised that you haven't seen me before. I'm Anastasia, nice to meet you." She said, returning the smile.

Of course, the reason he had never seen her before was probably the fact that this was the first time she wasn't using this particular appearance. No point in revealing any secrets though.

"Hi Anastasia, I'm Ismael. It's nice to meet you. So how do you like it so far here? Any complaints?" Ismael said as he tried to move away from him and make the conversation more about her.

'Any complaints'? What? Either Ismael was conducting a survey for the Beacon/Vale board of tourism in his free time, or he was trying really hard to keep the conversation focusdd on her for some reason.

"...I can't complain, I guess? This is quite a safe and peaceful country. You should be thankful." She said, thinking back to all the 'excitement' she had back in Atlas. Vale was definitely a nicer place to retire to. Sometimes Beacon felt almost tranquil. Well, as long as you stayed away from the students.

"Well, at least you can say you have a sense of safety, you wouldn't need to worry about too much. In normal situations. Yet there is always the looming threat of Grimm and the White fang. Yet that's why we're here. We are to be there for those who cannot defend themselves. I know I know it seems strange, but...". Ismael stops realizing there is some truth behind what he is saying, he then continued, "I believe that we are what is of legends. We are legends for what we protect and how we do it, over why we do it and what is to gained".

Wow. This conversation had taken a very melodramatic turn. A strangely serious one too. Where did it even come from? It felt a bit strange and out of place really, almost as if Ismael was talking to himself.

To be honest, Anastasia could not sympathize with his words, despite being a full fledged huntress herself. She had never really cared about defending people or being a hero or whatever.

"You sound very serious about this... But you're still a student. You should probably work on being able to defend yourself before you worry about defending others or being a hero. If you try to get ahead of yourself, you'll just get yourself killed." She said, giggling a bit at his super serious speech.

Ismael finally realizes that he was very serious at that moment. He chuckled as Anastasia talked of him being a foolish yet serious hero, "Well, I've been a hopeful fool. I've found joy in helping others, but thank you... I've been kinda bad at think of myself lately. It's actually refreshing to have someone say that". Ismael feels he is being serious again, so he tries to keep his tone steady if not a slight happier tone.

Apologies for the delay!

Anastasia shrugged, "Just remember, you're a student, not a hero. Not a huntsman. Just a student. Students only need to bother with taking care of themselves and their teammates. Just enjoy yourself! You only get to be a student once!" She said with an encouraging smile.

The conversation was getting a little dull - although she had not actually expected it to be a conversation. She had initially been hoping to just find out what was wrong and find someone more qualified to help. She wasn't a teacher, after all. Helping students was meant to be the teacher's job. Maybe she could still mess around with some illusion mischief like she initially wanted to... But it still didn't see like an appropriate time to do that.

"Yeah. You're right. I should live for more fun. But I think I'm going to be heading out. Thank you I appreciate that you came along and made sure that I was alright". Ismael began to stand up and stretch before he held out his hand..

"Ah! Right, I should get back to... what I was doing as well!" Anastasia said - she had just be meaning to check on the kid, not start a long conversation. She had lots of pretending-to-work to do, after all. She looked at the outstretched hand a little warily, out of habit she avoided physical contact with other people. Partially because she couldn't fake physical contacts, so they could often give away her illusions, and because she had a lot of scars she did not want people touching. She gave a nervous smile and waved goodbye, moving to the other side of the tree and making herself invisible once more.

Ismael saw as she decided to not shake his hand and waved, he decided to wave as well and spun on his heel and started walking away. He started to take off his gloves to show his intricate bandaging and how the weaving concaved in some areas. He began to stretch his hands and popping different joints out of stress, an old habit that shows up when he is unable to really keep his stress under wraps.
