The ivory head of the serpent crashed hard into the metal female, her shell making it difficult to close its mouth, which she was now standing in. Not that it wasn't trying with all its might as it sped along, until something hard caught it right in the throat. It hadn't counted on the large male moving out of its path so easily, and coughed, spitting out the female right into the wall it had planned to bash her against. It would have ploughed right into her headfirst if its companion head hadn't expired and flopped like dead weight right across it then, slowing it enough so that it snapped its jaws shut inches from the female's head.
Meanwhile, the inured student had passed out in Siobhan's arms, and she rocked him gently, singing softly to him while Mr. Rosenrot kept an eye on all the other students. Soon, an ambulance hovered up and took the boy off to the infirmary, and as she sat there and watched the paramedics go about their business with practiced efficiency, she spoke to her guard.
