(I swear, I will never understand these terms) It's not so much that he can't sound manly, you can manipulate their voices a lot, but NO ONE makes him sound like that! Again, not feminine. But still young, and... not manly in the slightest! I don't know, it's weird.

Considering I remember one of my classmates having a voice like a 40 years old woodsman at the age of 15, I wouldn't consider it impossible.

But then again, I don't get this weird virtual voice stuff at all.

And yeah, at least it's nice. Interesting, considering the voice provider is female.

There are voice providers. And then there's a program/software that lets you manipulate those voices to sing different words and notes.

I mean, I understand how the technicalities work. I just don't think I get the appeal of it in the slightest.

Ah, the appeal is that you get to take a good voice and make it sing anything you want. The fans make the songs, so you can listen to the 'artist' sing any type of music you want.

Well, if you view it under this aspect I guess I can see it. But other than that I'm just thinking that it provides nothing that a real voice could not do, unlike electronic instruments and similar things that add a lot more possibilities as to how you can make things sound like. If the voices would at least be tweaked to sound strange or "outlandish" and create a sound a normal human voice couldn't emit, but at least from the most things I heard it just seems like everyone wants them to sound as close to a natural voice as possible - which is very, very cool from a technical point, but kind of redundant from a musical perspective.
