Once again, Vivian decided that she would hold her tongue until the waiter had left them. Seeing the steak that she was being presented with, it did occur to her that Michael wasn't too far off from his estimate. The food was definitely a lot larger than she had been expecting. Of course, it smelled fantastic, and she was rather hungry, so she wasn't too worried about it. Once they were alone again, she diverted the majority of her attention towards him, though she did occasionally look back down as she was cutting at the steak with a knife as well.
"No offense, but I think it's, like, crazy boring outside of the city. I guess it's cool if you wanna be alone, but there's nothin' for me to do out there, you know?" Taking a break from cutting, she lifted her glass again and finished off the rest of her wine before resuming the same task from moments before. "As for why I do what I do, well, it's fun." Poking the knife into one of the pieces of steak that she had cut off, she bit it off, almost immediately smiling. "Mm, good."
Looking up at Mike again, she shrugged. "That's a short version, really. I've been fighting for a long time, even since I was little. Back then, it wasn't so much for my or others' well being. I did it because I was good at it, and people praised my punchy-punch talents. But, like I mentioned earlier... I also did some bad shit. No easier way to make up for it than to start punching bad people and monsters instead." The faunus gave him a sly smile. "Well, except for jail time. Which is kind of why I smacked you down." She moved to take another bite of the steak before continuing. "I don't know if I'm on some kind of list, but I don't want to find out by taking a trip to the police station. You seemed pretty set on making that happen. But anyway, after a while of doing it, I realized that it's pretty much the perfect job for me."
