While her teammates got ready, Mauve took advantage of the bag she always had ready if there was a mission alert and took the time to instead clean up. Computer off, pomegranate remains in the trash, teacups cleaned up, one by one she took care of the things that needed to be taken care of. Once she was done, Mauve simply grabbed her weapon, the bag containing various miscellaneous materials and extra ammunition for all of their weapons, and headed out the door, holding it open for the others. “Make haste my friends, lives are at stake.” Once everyone had cleared out, Mauve turned off the lights and closed the door, then taking the lead towards the docks.
Team ROSE,
You have been assigned to an evacuation mission, brought on by the recent fall of a small village by the name of Eden in Vale caused by an unnatural rising of the water level, making it a prime target for a group of Aceans. Due to the fact that Eden was both not ready and not accustomed to fighting these particular Grimm, it didn’t take long for them to fall. At that point, the Aceans retreated back into the ocean. However, they appear to be merging with another group and heading back towards the fallen village for an unknown reason. We don’t know if there is a Karkinos present, but no one has reported one yet, so it’s most likely that there are none. Still, be on the lookout.
Your mission is to hold off the group of Aceans and any other Grimm that will inevitably come to attack the village due to the large amount of negative emotions coming from the fallen village. Meanwhile, you will also have sort of assistance in the form of numerous members of the Valish military there to also protect the village. However, you should keep in mind that their main objective is to help the citizens evacuate and you are the main force against the Grimm. You will be accompanied by a hunter by the name of Finch Gaea. He will be your main source of help and will be available for advice, though your leader Mauve makes all calls and is also liable for any consequences that come as a result of said call. Mr. Gaea does however, hold the power to pull you out if the mission proves to be too dangerous or if circumstances require it.
Our information about Eden is as follows: It is a coastal town right by the seaside in the Southwestern parts of Vale. To protect it from any aquatic Grimm, not only is the sea level too low for the terribly large Grimm, there are medium-sized cliffs right on the edge of it as well. Unfortunately, due to the rise in water level, these cliffs provide little advantage over the Aceans. On the other side of the village is a tropical jungle-like climate, rife with Grimm as well. Usually the portion near the village is too dense for larger Grimm, but medium-sized Grimm in large numbers still provide a threat. Additionally, said larger Grimm might not mind some deforestation if it gets them prey. The village has two roads leading to the two nearest villages. These will not provide a good escape route though, since they are a ways away, the reason why they haven’t been affected. In the center of Eden is a walled sort of fort, durable and able to keep a good amount of Grimm out and sustain a good amount of damage. Keep in mind that the airships sent for evacuation will not be able to fly in, and so if you make the decision to send the remaining villagers there in the event of an emergency, all efforts to evacuate will halt.
In conclusion, your main job is to protect the civilians and reduce casualties. This takes absolute priority. If possible, assisting in evacuation procedures would be good as well. A point of focus would also be the airships. The damage to them must be minimal to ensure that everyone gets out as quickly as possible. This will count for a grade, but we suggest you focus on the fact that lives are at stake and you are trying to save them.
That is all, students. Good luck.
Mauve walked into the docks area, looking for the bullhead that would take them to Eden, and the hunter who would accompany them. It wasn’t hard. The airship was fairly noticeable as the only one not sporting the military insignia in the midst of a bunch who were. Also, the person who Mauve presumed was Finch held a large piece of paper with ‘Team Rose’ written on it, much like someone would do for a relative at the airport. “There,” Mauve said, pointing at the airship and hunter. “I wager that’s the bullhead scheduled to take us to the village. Unless there is another Team ROSE that has also been assigned to a mission at the exact same time. I doubt that though.” Motioning for her teammates to follow, Mauve started off towards the bullhead.
This ‘Finch Gaea’ fellow seemed to be… normal. Tall and muscled but not overly so, with tousled blonde hair somewhere between strawberry and sandy, stubble covering his jaw. He seemed to be somewhere in his mid-twenties, and had a circular shield with some sharp looking blades sticking out of both ends, as if someone had taken a double-ended bladed staff and glued it to the back of a shield. Tucked in a holster was a hefty looking gun. Clothing-wise, nothing special, though it did look more like something Indiana Jones would wear, not a hunter. But to each their own. He was accompanied by two people, one on the older side with dark hair who seemed to be a Sergeant Major by the looks of his uniform and insignia. Mauve was very familiar with the army. The other though, was definitely not. Dark auburn hair messily tucked into a high ponytail, light olive safari jacket, green bralette top, nope. She seemed to be the same age as the Finch guy, and was arguing loudly with both of the others.
“My family is there, I deserve to be there too now let me come with you Finch!”
“Jadyn, you know I-”
“Miss Emera, I will ask that you leave us now, you do not have clearance to come on this mission.”
“Yeah, thanks to the school! God, I’m not even a student here anymore, haven’t been for years, and yet just because I associate with them I’m not allowed to go on a mission? They won’t even let me go solo! Come on, aren’t you like super important or something? Give me clearance!”
“They said you can’t come with Jadyn, because your attachment may be a liability. Come on J, just stay here, they’ll be fine.”
“Oh come on! Finch, you know how much I want-need to be there! It’s my family, I grew up in Eden, they can’t just forbid me to go! I swear if you don’t let me come along, I will hijack one of these things anyway and fly myself to Eden, you know I know how to pilot a bullhead!”
“Is that a threat Miss Emera? I suggest you don’t make any more of them.”
“I can do whatever I want just let me go on this mission!”
“Well… can you do something about getting her permission Sergeant Major?”
“Hmph. Last time I checked, whining wasn’t a way to get clearance for these things.”
“Come on dude!”
“Alright, alright. I’ll make a few calls, just… be quiet. And know that I’m not happy about this.”
All the while, Mauve and her team stood by awkwardly. She then cleared her throat to announce her arrival, ignoring the tension in the air. “Sergeant Major, Miss Emera, Mr. Gaea. y name is Mauve Roux, and these are my teammates.” She motioned towards the three behind her. “We are team ROSE, here to assist on the Eden mission. I await further orders from you sir.”
